Cosmopolitan Hotel

My Florence vacation was booked very spontaneously and in the very last minute for an Easter weekend. Usually properties like cosmopolitan can be very expensive during these months but I found Cosmopolitan to be well priced for the amenities and the services. My room was clean, well stocked and the staff was very helpful. The hotel does everything it promises and there’s no fuss about anything.

The only thing that stood out for me was the hotel’s distance from the city centre. The hotel itself is placed very close to the tram station and it super convenient to reach the center but it does add 20 mins to the journey. For me this was totally fine. I found the tram journeys comfortable and not crowded.

First of all the stuff was more than excellent especially one guy, always there to help us and to give us advice for our Italy tour. The room was amazing and every day we had new fresh clean towels, slippers and a clean room. There was parking and if it was full they had second option for you. Overall I suggest this hotel 100%!

We had our car so we wanted a hotel not in the city center but with easy access to the highway but The location was a little bit bad at night because until 2 there was a cantina opposite the hotel and there were many people who drunk beer but it’s ok because people from the hotel made us feel safety.

The reception team went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Their professionalism and positive attitude made such a difference, and we could not be more appreciative of their efforts. No request was too much for them, and they were always on hand to help us with any last minute requests. They were extremely accommodating and made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience. Mahon and his colleagues really made our stay special, and we hope to stay with them again in the future. They accidentally gave us the wrong room when checking in and when we informed them, they immediately found us another room and compensated us above and beyond for the mistake. The staff members were incredible. They gave us great advices on how to get to city center and airport. Breakfast was good too.

The location was a 8 min walk to the nearest tram station and at night there are barely any lights available so it's a bit scary when going to and from the city center at night.

Cosmopolitan hotel was beautiful and welcoming after a long travel day. The location is very convenient as it's only five minutes away from the airport. I have never felt so genuinely welcomed or cared for by staff and management, every one of whom was incredibly warm and kind. I was also very pleased by my room, maximum comfort, stunningly renovated and super-clean. I would definitely stay in this hotel again

We stayed just one night because we had to catch a flight early in the morning. The check in was super easy, the bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. And they welcomed us with bottles of cold water, a small thing that makes a difference when is 34 degrees outside.

I would suggest to have a dedicated driver or shuttle to the airport. Even if we have to pay extra for the service that would be super helpful as taxis are not 100% reliable in Florence.

Our son and daughter went there to see Florence alone for a couple of days before they returned to the US. The first night they were there our daughter was attacked and her wallet, phone and passport were stolen. She had minor injuries. She was allowed to stay at the hotel until she could get a new passport. The hotel staff was very nice to her and we are very grateful to them for all their treatment to help her. We were in another area of Italy at the time, they allowed us to send a photo of her passport to them so they could allow her to stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They explained perfectly how to get to the city centre by tram. The room was clean and the bed was comfy.

We only had one (half) roll of toilet paper and ran out quickly unfortunately. So we had to go down to the reception late at night to ask more. Parking was free but could be better nonetheless. There isn't a lot of space, so you're required to hand over your car keys in order for the staff to place your car elsewhere on the property when they run out of room. This seemed weird to us as we were a little anxious about damages because of the tight parking space. Everything turned out well fortunately!

Ristorante Peruviano La Vaca Loka is across the street and absolutely amazing (careful, a lot of food). We stayed 12 hrs as a note, so we did not have breakfast or use the other facilities.

Beds were a bit hard for our taste.

The hotel is located not far from the airport and next to the tram line that leads to the city center. The staff is generally friendly. The bed is comfortable, it allows you to relax. Everything you need is in the room.

Minor weaknesses include the fact that water was constantly pouring in the toilet (barely audible, but still). The shower head leaked a little.
