The room was as shown in the pictures, and we had a bonus of a view of the Duomo from the window. The bed was large and comfortable. There was plenty of room to hang up clothes and surfaces to place items which was useful as we stayed a week. The bathroom was a generous size, but a little bit dated and furnished with a disabled access toilet which was rather high and a low sink. The Manchester was good quality and housekeeping always provided extra toilet paper. It was good to have a kettle and minibar/fridge for when we wanted to make our own lunch. Breakfast was generous with a range of cold and cooked meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, bread, fruit and cakes. It good to be able to start the day ready to go and not have to go looking for somewhere to eat. One day the hotel gave us a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely surprise.

When we checked in we were given instructions on how to get into the building after hours but on the first night we couldn't get back in. The staff member hadn't explained there was an extra lock to one side of the main front doors and it took us ages to work it out. Generally the staff were impersonal and only answered questions if we asked. The hotel was spread out over several floors and while we knew there was would be stairs, we had thought for the price we paid the young male staff member could have carried our one bag up to the room.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Amazing view of the centre of Florence from the 4th floor of a beautiful historic building. The service was exceptional and the staff incredibly professional and welcoming. Receptionist even refused a tip when going above and beyond to assist us. Complementary fresh peanuts and water was provided daily. Free breakfast every morning was delicious. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to Florence

Nothing. I can’t fault this hotel, it was one of the best we stayed at on our trip.

Great location walking distance to everything. Streets around it feel safe at night. Room is a good size and it's kept very clean daily. We stayed 3 nights and slept comfortable every single one. The breakfast is great, I would say it's even better than what some of the 4 and 5 star hotels offer. Staff are very friendly and are willing to help with anything.

Toilet seat was a bit lose and would move when sitting on it.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival. Reception staff were always attentive and helpful. Bedroom was an excellent size and had everything we required for a short stay, including a safe. Ample hot water in bathroom and shower itself worked well. Breakfast was great. Something for everyone. Good coffee from the coffee machine. Location was good. We walked to the tram stop (for Peratola) airport, pulling carryon luggage, in under 10 minutes. The mainline station is in same area. Plenty of restaurants within 5 to 20 minutes minutes walk. We can recommend this hotel.

The shower surround requires attention. Housekeeping cleaned the bathroom daily, so this is known. Guests need to be comfortable climbing at least 2 sets of stairs. The first is to arrive from outside to get the lift to reception, and the second is from reception level down to the breakfast room. There are bedrooms on reception level but there are also more on the next level up, which requires going up more stairs.

Really nice neighborhood (in the ‘diplomatic area’ of the city - the U.S. consulate is one block away), one block off of the river. Quiet hotel and quiet area. Easy to walk to all of the major sites in the city. Nice restaurants and cafes close by. Nicely done little hotel, good breakfast, very helpful staff.

Bed was a bit hard, but we got used to it - especially after walking 20000 steps each day! Shower was a tad small, but it worked out OK.

The hotel was walking distance from the places we wanted to visit in Florence. The room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Would love to come back here when we next come to Florence.

Can't think of anything. The breakfast room was on the small side for the number of people using it, particularly as we were a group of three so couldn't eat together at the tables for two.

The location could not be beat. Less than a 10 minute walk to the train station and a 20 minute walk to all the major attractions and sights in Florence. Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

Nothing really! Expect to climb steps but was never a problem. AC was adequate but could have been cooler. Room was small but was perfect for being in a city where you are out and about all the time.

Room had big bed, comfortable mattress. Breakfast was well stocked with eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, yogurt, fruits, granola, cheeses, juices, coffee and teas. Near good restaurants. Not located on busy street.

Rooms are small. No space to lay down and open up large luggage. TV did not offer English channels. Channel 851 was listed as CNN English language, but channel did not exist. Shower stall had problem with leaking hose and the drain did not drain properly.

Staff were wonderful (I am sorry I didn't get her name). She held our bags, allowed us to cool off downstairs until our room was ready and then again after we checked out, provided water, etc. She escorted us to our room (already had our bags brought up) and showed us the beautiful view and how to work the AC. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. The breakfast had a nice variety and the food was delicious! Would definitely stay here again.

The shower handle was a bit loose, so wasn't always able to get the hot water to work. Not as close to the sites as we would have liked but close enough and convenient to the train station.

Seeing as all the rooms in Italy seem small it was normal. The bathroom was a decent size, everything was clean and the staff was quite helpful. It was our anniversary and the staff delivered champagne, strawberries and chocolates my children ordered. The staff created a red heart on our bed out of confetti. The breakfast was diverse and good.
