We travelled as a family of 4 and picked this hotel because they offered 4 individual beds in a room option. The place is exactly as pictured on its website and based on some previous customers' reviews in term of size and description (ie. walk-up one level in order to access the elevator, European size elevator, European size bathroom, room size). The location is excellent for an active Florence tourist (near tourist attractions and a tourist center, walking distance to the main train station, restaurants (if you like pizzas, check out Giotto Pizzeria Firenze), in a lively neighborhood where you can do laundry, get little supplies from local convenient stores, fast-food/snacks, and has seasonal night/music activities at night in the church square behind the hotel). The hotel staff, everyone we encountered during our 4 days stay, were friendly and helpful. I should mention that the hotel is exceptional clean (especially the floor) and not luxurious, but every well maintained. The hotel breakfast is quite convenient, adequate, and is a good value for the cost.

Can't think of any of anything we didn't like. We were in the summer (late June/early July) and the air condition worked well to cool the room.

All together a good experience. Nothing fancy but the hotel has an old-fashioned charm with antique furniture and high ceilings. Clean spacious room in a great location and friendly staff. Reasonably priced compared to the other places we stayed at in Italy.

Shower is tiny - could barely fit in it. Be careful not to hit your head on the shower head - Multiple steps before reaching the elevator which makes it hard if carrying luggage - The elevator is old and slow - Flashing light from the ceiling fire alarm and the air conditioner. It is hard to sleep with multiple lights flashing all night.

This hotel is in a perfect location in Florence!! Walking distance to the main train station which is great when you arrive with all your luggage (5min walk), easy walk to the central food markets, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio. The room was extremely clean, and had aircon which is a must in summer- hot hot temperatures!! Basic facilities but that’s all you need as you’re not in you’re room much- too much to explore and no need to eat in, in Florence. Plenty of suburb food around even on a budget- market Centrale is the best!

The room had a bit of a funny mouldy/ old smell when we first arrived but quickly fixed once we opened the windows for fresh air

The location is excellent! 2 min walk to Duomo, close to everything, including the tram that goes to the airport (2 min walk). I booked the room during the same day of the check-in upon spontaneous travel, and I got a got offer with Genius discount - but the size of the room was impressive. It was cool enough (35 degrees outside), with the AC running, super clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was really helpful and kind - there is also an elevator that goes up from the reception (very grateful for that as I had luggage). Would definitely stay here again upon return.

Very good location. 5min from the cathedral. Everything within walking distance. Train station 5min away. Breakfast was very good. Staff help where they can. :) There are good restaurants nearby!

I made a reservation with Parking. Unfortunately, it was communicated incorrectly. The parking is not included in the price of the hotel. You have to park 50 metres away in a multi-storey car park and pay. In addition, you have to pay fees because you enter the old town. (I understand the environmental zones, but please also inform the guest in advance).

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was very helpful and the location was great. You can reach every major spot in the city just by walking for a couple of minutes. And the proximity of the train station was really a plus to me.

You'll always have to go through two flights of stairs to reach the "ground level" of the hotel. There, they have an elevator that is quite old, small, and slow (which, of course, is better than nothing). The alternative is to get your luggage to your room by going up more stairs. Keep this in mind if you're bringing a lot of luggage.

The Nizza is in a great location, close to all the historic sites as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants. Also just around the corner from the tram service to the airport. Despite its central location, it was remarkably quiet and we had a good night’s sleep. Our room was spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff who were so warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay at this traditional hotel again. Small and friendly and ideal as a base from which to explore beautiful Florence.

Nothing. It was all good.

The location couldn't have been better! The breakfast was just what we wanted - a little bit more of fresh fruit and nice bread would have made it better still - the cakes were delicious. Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and very clean and the Louvre windows made the room so dark - so weren't woken up by light first thing in the morning. We were amazed how quiet the place was considering the location. The only thing was the light in the bathroom - can do with more light and definitely some more shelves are needed in the bathroom, but the towels were lovely and soft and plenty of hot water. We must mention the staff! Simply wonderful and very friendly! We were very impressed with the help and friendliness of Paola and Edi. We loved staying at Nizza and will sure recommend it to our friends. Thank you again.

As I mentioned, more light in the bathroom and more shelves

I can't stress how lovely the staff were. We were incredibly delayed at the airport and someone stayed back to let us check in late and was really lovely about it as well. This just made up for the bad night we'd had and made us feel as ease immediately. We only booked for one night and weren't expecting much but the place is such a good value for money that we were surprised it was so nice and comfortable. The beds were excellent to sleep in and we will definitely stay with them again next time we're in Florence.

If I had to pick up on anything, it was that the internal walls are a bit thin. Couldn't hear anything from outside so that was great but we could hear the room right next to us when they got up at night to use the toilet. That, however, I feel is a general building issue that you will get in most of the hotels in the city centre so it would be unfair to hold it against them.

I liked the setting and the location of the hotel, both for shopping and visiting the sights, and the proximity to those places. I would also recommend my friends to stay here if they are visiting Florence as well.

The hotel's wi-fi disappears at night after 5pm. Other than that, the windows leaked at times, but I didn't feel very cold because of the underfloor heating. There are times at night when it is noisy outside, probably because it is next to the road.
