Hotel Paris

First trip abroad - Location was perfect for exploring the city of Florence and to take day trips to other Italian cities. The staff was friendly, helpful and responsive to questions. I knew the property would be different from US hotels - it has a coziness about it.

excellent location, close to everything in Florence. Our apartment was very spacious which was much appreciated after staying in much smaller rooms in other cities. we had a corner suite with 2 windows and views of the duomo. This is a bit of an older hotel - we found the decor romantic and the bed was very comfortable! we were thrilled with our stay.

Really interesting history of the hotel. The location was fantastic. An easy 4 min walk to the station even with 17 kilo cases. Loads of restaurants nearby . Quick Walking distance to all the iconic buildings . Breakfast was adequate . Rooms were spacious and bathrooms good Breakfast terrace was nice.

No tea or coffee in room. No iron available . Bathroom was steamy for quite a while after shower ... . The shower is in bath so not suitable for less mobile people. Lifts do not go to all floors so our floor would definitely not be accessible to people who can't walk stairs. But In sure the management could advise on that issue.

I loved the location and proximity to both the train station and Duomo. I loved the old decor and the breakfast room ceiling was absolutely beautiful. I also loved how friendly the staff was. I got welcomed there in a very warm way.

the amount of stairs you have to take to get to your room. yes, there was an elevator, but accessibility is still an issue. It would be helpful to have a small ramp for easy movement of luggage. also, my room always had mosquitoes and there were squished mosquitoes all over the walls. They need to clean the walls.

Location waz wonderful right in the heart of Florence and would definitely recommend. Size of room was huge, comfortable beds, lovely room top views and we appreciated the prosecco and glasses left with compliments of staff. Lovely little toiletries and high standards of cleanliness Appreciated the fresh towels and the use of very luxurious bath robes. We ate in the restaurant opposite on our first night which was simply the best steak we have eaten.

Shower door had broken but this didn't worry us.The staff offerered us to move rooms but we only had 2 nights left so didn't bother with the upheaval.

This is a classic old hotel. If you’re looking for ultra modern, this is not for you. If you’re the type who is looking for a McDonald’s in Europe, this is not for you. Hotel Paris is a lovely example of old Florence but with modern amenities. The bathrooms were excellent. The beds were excellent. The 10 foot tall windows (that open!!) and 14 foot tall ceilings were gorgeous! Most of all however, it’s the staff who make or break our experiences. The staff at hotel Paris worked endlessly to help us find the right restaurant, get the right tickets, find the right directions and finally get the right size cab that fits our whole family. I can’t say enough about the staff and their spirit of helpfulness. When I come to Florence again, I will stay here again. I also want to mention that the location is excellent for sightseeing, for shopping, for the best of downtown Florence.

Nothing, Just call early enough to get their best rooms. Ours was not one of their best but it was excellent nonetheless.

Fabulous location near to the train station and all of the must-see sights. The building itself was lovely and has many original features. The bed was super comfy, and our room was wonderful. All of the staff were helpful and very polite. The breakfast room was really special, and it wasn't a problem when I requested a Gluten Free option. Would definitely stay here again.

There was a bit of noise from the street below, but this was to be expected due to a city centre location. Tbh I had ear plugs in, so I didn't really notice.

The desk staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating, honestly delightful! I felt my room was cold at one stage when the weather changed and they immediately pulled out a big clean comforter and put a little electric fire in the room because it was too early in the season for the central heating to be be operative. They also let me have a slightly late check out with zero fuss. And the location is fantastic, right between train station and the Duomo.

THe shower was really not good - a telephone style little showerhead, tepid water at best, could hardly bear to stand under it, it was cold, really - even after waiting ages , and I wasn't showering in peak morning time but at night. It was unimpressive. Maybe because I was on 4th floor! Also there was moldy looking black caulk all along the tub edge which was pretty off putting although the rest of the room was perfectly clean, and I felt the bed was really cozy and crisply clean. It is a three star so the furnishings were just a little tired, and at 300 bucks a night I was not overwhelmed with the style. But it was fine. And again, the staff was terrific. Didn't really try breakfast, it looked standard, nothing special but definitely adequate.

Excellent location in easy walking distance from the museums, cathedral and train station. Dramatic period-style furnishings and frescoes on the ceiling. Comfortable bed, bathroom small but clean. Good blackout shutters that kept light and sound out. Breakfast room had indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff were very helpful.

Our room was a split-level with the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs. The air conditioning unit was on the stairs. Perhaps due to the shape of the room but the air conditioning did not feel as effective despite the noise level. It was clearly quite an old aircon unit as well (unsurprising in this period hotel - glad there was some aircon at all!)

The location is great. It is right near the train station (a 6 min walk), which was super helpful when we had early morning trips/ trains/ excursions to catch. The staff was really kind and helpful. I appreciated how they let us store our luggage.

The shower was shaped in a way that made it super slippery/ easy to fall. I was really scared for my mom (who is 57) that she'd step wrong and fall. We ended up putting a towel in the shower floor, so that there was grip when we showered. The toilet also wouldn't flush immediately; you had to wait a few minutes, which was a little gross. Our room also did not look like the pictures online; it was a lot more dull.
