The room and facilities are beautiful, with many amenities offered. The building is cheerful, perfectly located, with cold AC and niceties such as toiletries, a mini bar, and evening pub available. The breakfast has a generous selection, and excellent extended hours (easy for those with jet lag, or an awkward schedule). The staff were very kind and accommodating (especially the man who serves at breakfast!) and the reception staff were incredibly helpful with holding my luggage, and assisting with a taxi. I can't stress how perfect the location is - it's very quiet overall, but located perfectly for a short walk to most destinations of interest.

My room was above the elevator and reception - not a good location for me, as guests come in very late (3am) and also begin rising for breakfast very early (7am). If you are a light sleeper, and please request a different room.

Very friendly and helpful staff from restaurant recommendations to helping with our luggage, etc. Great location -- 13 minutes from the main train station, 5 minutes to Accademia Galleria, 9 minutes to the cathedral, but a little bit away from the very very touristy area. Free breakfast is nice (we wanted to enjoy breakfast at a cafe so we went once, but it's a nice option to have).

Lovely hotel and friendly reception staff. Davide in particular, was really helpful with tips and asking how the day had gone. As a solo traveller, it’s nice when the hotel staff make an effort to ask how your trip is going. Got upgraded for a cheap price which was great. Families exactly as advertised and comfy beds. Close to the centre and the train station, with everything within walking distance. Breakfast was very limited for me as a vegetarian, but plenty of pastries etc to stock up on to keep me going. Shame there was not really many hot vegetarian breakfast options I’ll definitely stay again

Something has dropped on the floor in the room, which house keeping hasn’t cleaned so the floor was sticky. Was fine though as I just used the slippers they provided

I recently stayed at Room Mate Luca and had an exceptional experience. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the major attractions and dining options. Whether you're here for business or leisure, you'll find everything you need within walking distance. The room itself was a haven of comfort. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring. Additionally, the cleanliness was top-notch; the housekeeping staff clearly takes great pride in maintaining immaculate standards. A special mention must go to the concierge team, who were always available and extremely responsive. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, provide local recommendations, and ensure our stay was as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Overall, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning on my next trip!

The front desk, staff, restaurant, maids, were over the top, friendly, professional, helpful, and genuinely loving their jobs, which reflected on how they treated guests. We stop regardless of the hour of night or morning, they were there to help and provide whatever you needed immediately. They followed through on any request. All of the front desk people were so lovely, helpful, kind, and made you feel like they had known you for years. They provided maps and suggested non tourist restaurants that were great. The hotel is a short walk to the Piazza della Repubblica but just far enough from tourist area affording more local places to eat. The rooms are recently renovated, and have a bit of a New York modern field to them. The bathrooms ate absolutely beautiful. There was a fabulous breakfast spread, including yogurts, fruits, pastries, oatmeal, etc. There were also attendance who offered to make you coffee from the machine. They were incredibly attentive. The morning I checked out, they had prepared a breakfast to go box for me. I don’t know any hotel who does that voluntarily. It’s a quick taxi ride to the train station.

Great room, staff and breakfast.

Location isn't bad, but it's not the most central location around Florence. Fortunately it's a very walkable city, but the location is just north of the city center/historical areas.

The hotel was great, located close to the main attractions plus close to the main train station. Hotel facilities were great, and the breakfast options are excellent. The room cleaning service was also excellent and was done each day. There was a slight issue with the air conditioning one day; however the staff provide a fan until issue was resolved. We would highly recommend this hotel and would visit again when travelling to Florence.

It was very pleasant to feel welcome and meet the smiling staff at the reception. They did everything to help people find their way in the city, too. Special thanks and praise goes to Mr. Aman who is the soul of the breakfast room! He did so much to help the clients feel welcome and comfortable, he really cared. The breakfast was plentiful and served nicely. Very good coffee! The rooms were kept tidy and the design of the rooms was interesting, with maybe a bit too strong colors to meet our taste but one gets used to it. We could get a kettle in our room to make tea in the evenings. TV channels were plenty and there were also a few news channels in English, French and German. The hotel is very close to the main interest points and approachable on foot to the train station (approximately 10-15 minutes). There are also several bars and eateries in the vicinity. Overall, a very good feeling. Many thanks to the hotel personnel!

It's hard to find any complaints! Maybe, if possible, we would like to have one movie channel in English ...

Excellent location and a beautifully designed hotel! The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. They were always happy to help and spoke very good English. The breakfast was very good and catered for our needs. Thank you Room Mate Luca!

We pid to upgrade to a larger room due to our room having a leak in the shower and it was quite small. The staff offered to fix the leak straight away but we fancied a bigger room on the quieter side of the hotel (away from the main road) anyway!

I have traveled around Europe for 4 months as well as stayed at Roommate Luca for around a month of my travel and have to say by far the best hotel, I have ever stayed at. The staff, room, and location were outstanding. The staff was extremely delicate, helpful, funny, and caring throughout my stay. They made me feel very comfortable where I was staying. Personally, I stayed in the Deluxe rooms and they were outstanding, with a lot of area to move around and a clean and nice bathroom. Lastly, the location is perfect for my situation, away from the noise, around everything I wanted, and within walking distance of any place around. Most importantly it was really easy to get to the train station from my location.

The breakfast wasn't the best. My recommendation would have more fresh and extended options in what the breakfast provides. Although, I ate there almost every morning still satisfied my morning.
