Staff members were all nice, Judith & Ana (reception) & the very nice, jolly lady at the breakfast place. Room size was good, we were a group of 3 and there’s enough space for us and luggages.

A bit far from SMN Station. If you plan on walking from SMN to the hotel, a little challenging as the streets are a bit tight

Excellent location we were able to walk to the majority of attractions we visited. Breakfast was great, has something for everyone. Rooms were of a great size with a wonderful shower. The front desk staff really stood out to me, they all had such wonderful, genuine customer care. Gave us great advice of where to eat. They were so friendly in every way. The staff that work at this hotel are a true asset. I really thank them for making our stay a special one.

The hotel is in an excellent location - 10-15 minute walk from the Duomo. Breakfast offered a great selection and it was in a pretty room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When we stayed there were free ice lollies available in reception and we received a welcome drink which we though was a nice touch. The AC also worked well which was greatly appreciated in July!

The standard room was on the small side but it offered everything that we needed for a 3 night stay so it wouldn't put me off staying here again.

This property is beautiful! It’s very close to the city center so we walked to the Duomo in about 7-8 min., to the Ponte Vecchio in about 12-15 I think and the fake David statue was on the way to that. It’s a very cute place, breakfast was a wonderful spread and included in our stay - I loved we ate on a patio area overlooking the garden. The a/c was great as well which I know isn’t always the case.

The room was quite small, basically enough room to walk to your side of the bed and the foot of the bed on the path to the bathroom, but this didn’t bother us because we weren’t in the room much. There was a decent entryway where we kept our luggage so at least that was out of the way. The bed wasn’t very soft, it was definitely a firm mattress which wasn’t my husband and my favorite, but all the other pros outweighed these 2 things for us.

Everything! We had the suite garden view and it was perfect for the 4 of us. We had enough space in the room. It was quiet. The personal is excellent, super nice. Small garden but for Florence it is exceptional. The localisation is perfect as well, close to duomo and plenty of restaurants near by. Breakfast is excellent. We appreciated the valet option that allow you to park the car in front of the hotel for you to leave the luggage and then someone bring the car to a parking nearby. For one night and the valet we paid 40€.

Hotel Orto de Medici is a delightful find near Florence's key attractions. Conveniently close to the train station, its charm captivates. The staff is exceptionally courteous, always ready to offer helpful advice. The hotel manager pleasantly surprised us with a room upgrade, ensuring a memorable stay. The food is tasty and also includes all options for those with allergies. We'll certainly return to this exceptional gem.

If you use hair conditioner or love to greet the morning in a dressing gown, remember to bring these with you. In the room, you will find beautifully scented soaps, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. The lack of a wardrobe in the room isn't much of an issue as there are always hangers and shelves for suitcases available. Coffee enthusiasts should visit local cafes, as the coffee served at the hotel breakfast isn't the Italian delicacy we adore.

hotel interiors and design was very classy and modern, airy and clean at all times, staff was very accomodating, cheerful and have very excellent customer service, special mention to ms judith at the front desk, breakfast choices of food was just right but can be improved by adding a little more, special mention to the lady in-charge, she made sure we had everything we asked for, had a very pleasant stay here. we forgot some personal belongings in the hotel but when i emailed, staff were quick to respond and arrange for how we can retrieve our items

The building is beautiful. The interior archway is lovely, as well as the garden. The room and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The TV also includes a lot of channels.

The breakfast options were quite limited, in the sense that there were not many vegetables to choose from, only tomatoes (no cucumbers, olives etc.), and the bacon was quite dry. The upside: there is a large variety of desserts. If the room is on the ground floor, close to the garden, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so you can't open the windows.

We had a slight issue with our room, and the room staff quickly changed our room after flagging this up with them. They were so nice about it all and very professional (many thanks to Ann in particular for helping us out so much). I am very grateful to the staff for changing our room - the room was beautiful, comfortable and made my birthday trip so special; they even gave me some lovely wine for my birthday which was such a kind addition. The staff in this hotel are so so nice, polite and friendly and will happily help you when you need it. The hotel and garden overall is stunning. Furthermore, the breakfast is really nice, pastries, hot food, fresh orange juice. In addition, the hotel is really clean, and so are the rooms. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel and when I come back to Florence I will stay again.

Well located just away from centre of the city. Easy walk to the main sights. Hotel clean, calm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet style- wide range of options and very tasty. Room good size for the centre of the city, very clean and cleaned every day to excellent standard . We had two single beds which were very close together. Beds not very comfortable unfortunately,staff happy to give us extra pillows . Staff were friendly and welcoming
