Location was great, close to railway station, city centre and port. Buffet breakfast was excellent and well worth paying extra for. Our family rooms was actually two interconnected rooms which was ideal for a family of four. Nice lounge area and roof terrace.

It is not very clear how to reach the hotel (on the third floor) once you go through the main door from the street. A few signs would help, as we climbed the wrong staircase, with our luggage, not realising that there was a lift!

The guy at the reception was very friendly, and helped us with many things, the room was comfy and had a fridge with drinks. very good location. very beautiful surroundings.

The name of the parking that the staff told us was incorrect at first, so we had to drive around Genova for quite a bit, they told us to put in Google maps "Garage Minerva" when it was called "Park Minerva", but "Garage Minerva" also exists, so we were confused by that. The bathroom is quite small, and for tall people as us coúldnt properly use it. Wifi almost dint work at all, it worked for 1hr then we had to use our mobile data.

The hotel is maintained with love and attention to details. The first thing I liked was the interior. I am not keen on culture history, but they picked a particular period of art (something around the culmination of dadaism, probably) and all the colours of the hotel and room decorations are trying to conform it. The staff was really nice also, polite and kind! And a beautiful balcony with lemon tree, and a common room with comfy sofas - lovely.

I bet the rooms are very different here and I was not that lucky, honestly. Bed was uncomfortable, outside was always sound of water leaking from somewhere, the position of sockets doesn't really make sense, and to read in bed I had to move the lamp with stretching the wire. Sound isolation is almost zero. I would pay less for this room for sure.

Really lovely and comfortable interior space. Reasonably priced breakfast and the staff were really helpful in ensuring we could check in late. The beds were comfortable and there was a stocked minibar which was really appreciated given how hot and late it was when we arrived.

The room was a bit more run down than the communal areas. The shower is very narrow, but good water pressure, and the space between the toilet and wall is very tight when you're sitting down.

I chose this family-run hotel for a one-night stay between Milan and Turin because it was convenient for leaving my luggage when arriving on the bus and before leaving on the train: both only 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. It is in the top half of a palazzo and once you are there it is like being in a modern art bubble: the reception is decorated a la Mondrian and each room is decorated in homage to an artist: my single room had a yellow Josef Alpers mural! There is a very spacious public area with a cosy corner for watching TV and the fish tank, and a roof terrace with seating. A lot of families were staying and this would be perfect for a rainy afternoon for tired sightseers. Breakfast was very good, with the owners in attendance, making sure everything ran smoothly.

Genoa is a very interesting city, essentially developed in the 17th century on a hill with very tall buildings along very narrow streets and full of wonderful baroque art and churches, as well as earlier treasures. However, once one is in the back streets (thank you iPhone maps!) it is dirty, smelly and squalid with large numbers of prostitutes hanging around from midday: this made me sad and, despite having seen many beautiful and/or interesting things, I was glad to leave after my day there.

The location was excellent. A short walk from the train station. Plus near restaurant's and the port. The room was quite small, the bathroom was a nice size and the room had French doors which opened on to the shared terrace which was a bonus. The breakfast was good for 10 euros. No hot food but it was plentiful.

I did use the shared toilet on the 4th floor once and it was a bit whiffy.

The location is fantastic. A 10 minute walk from the train station and on the same street as the Palazzi di Rolli, not to be missed sights. Lots of restaurants and shops at your doorstep. Friendly and helpful staff.

The only down side here is noise. I did not hear any street noise but could hear folks in neighboring rooms. However, this is a family place and everything was quiet by 11 or so.

The Hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Genoa. There are restaurants and other facilities just outside the hotel in a number of streets close to it. Shopping and local attractions are also close by together with local transport connections (bus/trams). The staff were very friendly but do not be confused by perfect English messages that you receive before arrival as no English is spoken by main staff. They do speak at least Italian and French. Local nearby bar/restaurant featured 'Elvis Presley' 'live' not to everyone's taste but other quieter bars available nearby. Breakfast excellent with a variety of foods to choose from at a self service breakfast.

The information given by the hotel and the picture of the hotel is a little misleading. The rooms are on the 4th/5th flour of a multipurpose building on a traffic free street. This makes arriving in a vehicle with luggage a little difficult. There is parking available but this is a short drive away and an additional cost, in my case 30 Euros for the nights parking. Despite this we would use the hotel again but only if we were not driving to it. Perhaps a good base for weekend in Genoa.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the old city. Just turn right out of the hotel door and follow Via Cairoli to Via Garibaldi, which has many fantastic old houses. There's lots of food options nearby, and you can enjoy just wandering around the narrow streets of the old city and taking in the sights. The room is cozy and clean.

Nice place, very well located in the centre of town, room is spacious, you have all necessary amenities. The staff are very nice, and helpful.

It can be noisy, as one of the walls was shared with another room, but this is more due to our neighbors than the place itself (walls are thin). Bathroom ceiling could use some refurbishing, nothing major, place is still ok.
