Our stay at Pianelle Resort in Matera was exceptional. Its prime location in the heart of Matera's Piazza San Pietro Caveoso was unbeatable. The hotel's modern design seamlessly blended with the ancient surroundings, and the breakfast surpassed all our expectations. What truly stood out was their proactive approach, arranging off-site parking and a stress-free shuttle service for us before our arrival. Our room was a luxurious haven with a comfy mattress, plush pillows, and a spa-like shower complete with bathrobes. A truly unforgettable experience!

On this vacation we tried to stay in farm houses, artist hotels and architectural hotels. This was our architectural hotel... WOW. We booked a suite in a cave room. Even though it is a cave it was open and light with lots of space. It had aroma therapy in the double shower. The location is FANTASTIC. The people who work here are wonderful, even gave us hugs when we left. We paid the extra money to have them arrange parking. It was 38$ a day. But your car is in a safe location and a van brought us to the historic section and helped with luggage. The walk even with carry-ons would have not been fun. Do the car service. Nearby is everything.

The rooms are beautifully renovated, very clean and comfortable.

When I booked the accommodation I booked it under my name for 1 person (by accident, it was meant to be for 2 adults). When we arrived they advised that there would be an extra charge of €60 euro per night for my husband as an extra person. This was despite the fact that I had booked a room with a double bed and as far as I could see there was no cost being incurred by him staying also. For 2 nights an extra €120 on top of the considerable amount we had already paid for the stay was extremely disappointing.

Matera is such a wonderful place to visit and staying at the Pianelle Resort was fabulous. The room was amazing so spacious, immaculately clean with beautiful views over the caves of Matera. The hotel has a very relaxing feel created by the colours of the buildings and layout. All the staff were lovely, arranging transfers for us and drinks on the Terrace just perfect. We really enjoyed our stay .. thank you just wish we could have stayed longer.

Brand-new hotel just opened in August. It incorporates the atmosphere of a cave dwelling, a traditional Matera feature, but the room is very sophisticated and equipped with the latest control technology. Everything from the tasteful decor to the wonderful staff (helpful and friendly, yet professional), cozy room, soft and snugllable towels, sophisticated facilities, and excellent breakfast was superb. The location is right in front of the Piazza San Pietro Caveoso, where buses and cabs enter, so you don't need to climb up and down the stairs lugging heavy luggage around. Erica, the Room Division Manager, spoke excellent English and was very attentive to my needs, including sightseeing and arrangement of taxi. If you ever come to Matera, definitely book this hotel. Highly recommended.

A great location, a very kind staff at the reception. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was good. They provided a parking space for extra money but it was an excellent organization .

They have a beautiful roof top terrace but most of the time it’s closed except in the afternoon. For the rest of the time for example if you want to have coffee in the morning or whatever, every time you need to go to the reception and ask for the key. It’s a pity because it’s not full of use.

The hotel is a new one and it has a great location. The room was comfortable and it had a nice view of the Sassi. It was warm and had a comfortable bed. The people were friendly and really helpful.

The hotel is in the old town with the Sassi and the car park is not allowed. Although they have the option to park in parking which was expensive, and it was about 10 min walk away from the hotel. Although it had a transfer but only for checking and checkout else you had to pay for it.

This place is unique, one of the best stays. The location is nice, the staff are very professional and friendly. Special thanks to Ediolla for everything. We enjoyed our stay here and I'm coming back for sure! There is nothing to complain about, the room is amazing the view is outstanding and the bed is very comfy.

I wish they can add coffee in the room and maybe change the breakfast menu a bit. But nothing extreme really!

Exceptionally beautiful hotel which is perfectly located to explore Matera. The rooms are luxurious, incredibly comfortable and each have an individual character that perfectly reflects the charm of Matera. We found the staff so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We were a group of 18 colleagues visiting on a pre-Christmas trip and the team at Pianelle Resort made sure that our trip was everything we had hoped for. Each bathroom felt like a spa and the view from the rooftop terrace was spectacular. Thank you Pianelle Resort.

My stay was short but it was so good, I wish I stayed longer. The room is super clean and has all the facilities needed and more. The staff is super friendly and very helpful and answered all the questions I had. I was traveling solo and felt very safe. A plus: the bus stop is right in front of it. I thought I booked a room with a terrace, but my room had no views. However, the reception told me that they have a shared terrace (I didn't get a chance to see though)

Nothing, but a little tip: the location on Google maps wasn't very accurate for me, better type "Piazza San Pietro Caveoso" and it's just right there.
