Hosts were very accommodating Very good breakfast

You do need a car otherwise you are isolated. There is a bus stop outside but bus is very infrequent and stops running at approximately 19:00 hrs so you can get into town for an evening meal but great difficulty in returning. Taxis are practically impossible to book as they only tend to do airport runs, one night restaurant owner returned us home because taxis unobtainable, and the hill is too dangerous and steep at night to walk home. This made eating out stressful. There are no restaurants anywhere close by to the hotel. The hotel and hosts were delightful however and would return but only if we had a car.

The property was extremely well kept and clean, very comfortable and cozy. The owners make you feel right at home. This location is just over a mile away from the water front and the walk back to the hotel is up a steady incline. It’s quite the workout, which we did not mind but some people may not be prepared for this. If you don’t have a car and are not looking for an intense climb back, consider staying closer to the water front. However, this hotel was amazing. We had the most incredible view. Breakfast and dinners were excellent. The owners are fantastic.

The building and the rooms were clean and comfy. The staff really nice and helpful.

The location was a bit tricky. The distance to the beach 2km and uphill climbing when coming back. Busses do stop beside the hotel, but go once an hour (ish) and the last one leaves early in the evening. Only 3 taxis in the whole willage. So a car is, I guess, a must. If you want to have dinner in the hotel, you need to make a reservation in the morning. So no possibility to eat on the arrival day. Although the owners did help us, when we begged them 🥰

The hotel was absolutely immaculate. The staff exceptionally helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fab. The one evening we had an evening meal which was delicious and very good value.

The pool was not filled but as the weather was only just improving this was not a problem.

We loved how the owners took care of us, made us feel so welcome and like a part of their family! Absolutely delicious dinner there the first night and super clean, comfortable rooms with amazing views!! Property was well maintained and loved- they take a lot of pride in their hotel and service and we couldn’t agreed more. We very much are Looking forward to returning!

Little bit of a hike up the hill from the ferry- not walkable with luggage but the hotel arranged for taxis for us and you can also grab the bus.

The family that owns this place is really nice! They made this stay even greater with their hospitality, recommendations and help! Both dinner and breakfast was great, and our view outside the window was amazing Highly recommend!

The parking was not included in the price, which was not mentioned in booking. The host showed us a free parking just a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

Good situation, 15 min away from the lake downhill and 30 min uphill 😉 It is relatively easy to park. Parking is also available at the hotel but you have to pay for. The pool was unfortunately unavailable (not mentioned) 😕 The breakfast is great and the staff very nice and helpful. A nice experience.

Excellent meals and a very warm family orientated atmosphere. Always prompt service.

If we visit again we would probably hire a car to get down to menaggio as it's at least a 30 minute hike each way. We hadn't appreciated how steep the streets would be. Plenty of exercise though 😬.

Giacomo & Caterina were so lovely and looked after us incredibly well! Their son Andrea was also amazing! We loved the swimming pool and the beautiful views. The breakfast was generous and delicious with options to suit every diet. The shower was also great - 6 variations!

The staff and owner were exceptional and very helpful at all times. Such a lovely atmosphere and so friendly. Breakfast was lovely, pool was lovely, and view is amazing. Can't speak highly enough it was a wonderful stay.

The only slight issue is the bus to the hotel, which is no detriment to the venue, it doesn't run very often or very late so we would walk to/from Menaggio. However, the staff were very helpful with shortcuts and it only takes about 20-30 minutes.
