- The hotel is a great base for exploring Lake Como's tourist spots, especially if you have a car. - Breakfast is excellent here, featuring fresh slices, tasty bacon pancakes, and more. It's the best breakfast we've had among similar-priced hotels. - There's free parking, including a cool underground option which is great during hot weather. - Extremely friendly staff. You can really feel the Italian hospitality and care. - The rooms are very clean and offer amazing views (mine had a lake view and a balcony).

Some tourists might like a free bottle of clean water as a nice touch (many do). However, you can always buy one at the bar without any trouble. It's fair to say that the hotel is better suited for guests with cars.

The staff was welcoming, kind, full of helpful local information (such as where to park for free in the nearby towns), friendly and so attentive to every detail! They spoke at least four different languages, so communication was not an obstacle! The view was simply incredible! In the evening we were able to enjoy a tasty, calm, wonderfully Italian dinner at a very reasonable cost! The garage parking was great in case of bad weather or just simply for loading and unloading the car with direct access into the hotel. The buffet breakfast was beautiful and was constantly refreshed as guests trickled down during the breakfast hours. There were pastries, cereal, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, meat, cheese, rolls and a choice of bread. Since this is a family owned hotel, they strive to please the guests and the standard of cleanliness, order and beauty are above reproach.

We had a really wonderful holiday in Tremezzo it was a great location for getting around Lake Como and staying at Hotel La Perla made it particularly special. The family running the hotel were superb. They were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to help us with travel tips, directions, restaurants, well, everything. Nothing was too much trouble. Always smiling and creating the loveliest atmosphere. The location of the hotel is perfect and it is true that the rooms have a superb lake and mountain view. So too did the dining area. Our room was delightful and we had not just a balcony but a patio with table, chairs and sun lounger! The room and in fact all of the hotel was spotlessly clean and very attractively decorated. The pool was very pleasant and again surrounded by the fantastic views. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty to choose from and made most enjoyable by our charming hosts. We would highly recommend this hotel and staff and will certainly visit again! Grazie mille!

There was nothing at all to dislike

Fantastic staff who were consistently extremely friendly and helpful- chatting away in multiple languages to guests! They booked us a taxi when we arrived at the ferry port. Gave us information about the local market and ferry day pass. Also, we requested a late check out that was really helpful! Thank you 🙏 We were unsure whether to hire a car for our trip after reading some reviews about the hike up the hill. On reflection we're glad we didn't because we would have only used it to get up and down the hill as the ferry service was cheap and easy to get around. Aw A real authentic Italian feel to the hotel! Good breakfast and relaxing setting. The hotel and rooms were spotless!!

Just a personal preference - Only down side for us was we usually use our hotels as a base during the day to rest before going out in the evening but with this hotel - once you're out, it was best for us to stay out all day after so much walking. The walk made us a little reluctant to stay out after dark as we didn't want to pay 15€ for taxi each way or walk the big hill late. An evening shuttle or similar would be a fantastic addition to this wonderful hotel!

Beautiful tranquil location with stunning views over the lake and mountains. Our hosts were super friendly and so courteous. The hotel was immaculately clean with little areas for peaceful relaxation. The breakfast was so lovely, offering a great choice and the outside eating areas were a treat every morning

Nothing really to criticise other than possibly a bit more variety on the dinner menu would have been appreciated. It was so tempting to relax in the hotel of an evening and eat in, which would have been even better with a broader menu. The evening atmosphere in the outdoor dining areas was amazing.

Very clean and great service. The hotel staff was able to answer any questions, provided plenty of information on the region and how to get around, as well as attended to any and all requests. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Good breakfast in the mornings with wonderful views from the terrace of the lake and mountains. Good parking as well right by the hotel entrance and if that lot fills up there is more parking on the street in front of the hotel.

A twenty minute walk from Tremezzo ferry station. By car five minutes with parking available in a free lot or a paid lot if it filled up.

It’s out of the way of the chaos you’d find in the other lakeside towns, so it’s very peaceful. It’s up on the hills so the view from the balconies are absolutely out of this world, I would say up there with one of the best views of the lake, the pool is also such a bonus. The facilities were perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to help us out and make our stay enjoyable, very helpful for information.

Nothing. I would only recommend that if you stayed here you rented a car because the travel to and from the hotel from the near by towns is most convenient when you have your own mode of transport.

Loved everything! The hotel was beautiful, pool was lovely, we had a room with a view of the lake and it was stunning! The restaurant was amazing, good food and a beautiful view. We had dinner and breakfast there and it was just so relaxing. The ladies are all family and they are just absolute sweethearts! We couldn't get a taxi one day so one of the ladies was kind enough to drive us into town...couldn't thank her enough, and offered without hesitation. She told us the history of the hotel on the way down into town too which was really interesting. Honestly was such a magical stay and I will do anything to go back to Como, if I do, I will definitely be staying here again!

Nothing! Everything was perfect. The ladies even were okay with us taking our dessert from the restaurant back to our room because we were too full haha!! The only thing that would have made this perfect is it the TV had someway to access Netflix or YouTube. I only say this becuase I don't speak Italian and there is only Italian TV available. Would have been nice after a long day to come back, eat some food, and cuddle up to watch a movie in bed 😊

The location had the best balance of tranquility and availability for activity. 10-15 peaceful minutes walk along ages cobble pathways down too the Lake/ Tremezzo Center. Or had a choice of taking the road to the Tremezzo Centre, around 15-20 minutes walk. Facilities were amazing, shocked and grateful for how we were so lucky to stay at Hotel La Perla. Panoramic views were like no other. Stunning. Very close to transport- boat, ferry, bus and taxis. Food- breakfast buffet has a great range; sweet, savoury, cooked, fresh etc. Dinner- petite range to choose from, all as tasty as eachother. All essential information is available, all we had to do was ask- being from the UK, they were totally understandable and able to understand us very easily. La Perla staff, all of them- amazing, welcoming, nice, friendly, happy and offering. Could go on forever with positivity.

The fact me and my partner had to leave- we love this place very much. Staff and Hotel were fantastic. Totally flawless.

This hotel was small, quiet, and the views and property were amazing! Our room was perfect with a small balcony overlooking the lake. We couldn’t believe the value for your money here. It is run by a family, twin sisters, and they bend over backwards to make you happy & where everything is. They even picked us up from the main road when we arrived with our luggage instead of us having to get a taxi up the hill. The daily breakfast was wonderful and Laying by the pool in the afternoon overlooking Tremezzo, the lake, and the mountains were stunning. I can’t wait to come back!

It’s not easy to get to buy the views are worth it. We could walk down the main road in about 25 mins but getting back up after a long tiring day was to much so a $20 taxi ride was well worth it!
