The woman at the front desk (I forgot her name!) was exceptional! we stayed at six different hotels during our trip to Italy and she was by far the most friendly and helpful! The room and hotel have been nicely updated and it was centrally located with great views of the lake.

Though it’s a great location it is NOT a quiet location, with many noisy families and music in the square near the hotel.

We are a family travelling with teenagers. We booked the triple room, superior double, and double rooms for 3 nights, all with lake views. We booked early so we got a good rate. Well worth paying for the lake view. Breathtaking! Seems the rooms have been refurbished not long ago, looks fresh and new. The sound insulation is good, we did not have problem with the street noise. All rooms are accessible by lift, although one of our room required climbing a few steps, slightly inconvenient with our big heavy luggages, small issue. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, beds are comfortable, ACs worked fine. Breakfast is decent. The walk to the pier where we catch the public ferry is about 8 min. It is a great base to explore other towns (Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, Griante etc) Various good restaurants within short walking distance. Although room size compact, it has everything we needed for a restful stay. In sum, Hotel Garni Corona is good value for money. Remember to ask the Hotel for a map of the one-hour historical walking tour of the town. Must do while in Menaggio!

Really convenient location, right next to the main square and a 7 minute walk to both the bus station and ferry port. Modern room, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and good shower pressure. Staff were really friendly and helpful, we bought a bottle of wine from a local shop and the receptionist provided us with wine glasses and a corkscrew. We stayed as the first stop on our honeymoon and they left rose petals and chocolates in the room which was a nice touch. Room on the top floor also had a private balcony with a lovely view of the lake. Lots of choices for restaurants nearby - highly recommend Pasticceria Cassera Moretti for great coffee, pastries, focaccia and cannoli, and La Trattoria next door for pizza and Divino 13 for dinner.

It has everything you need for a break when you are out exploring most of the time, no complaints

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Garni Corona. To be honest, the room exceeded my expectations! I really loved the lake view we had, as well as how big the room is, and the variety of toiletries available. Most hotels we stayed at in Italy didn’t include conditioner, but this hotel had that, and even a soap for intimates (have never seen that before at any hotel). The breakfast was also great. Loved the cold cuts, fresh orange juice, and the cappuccinos. It’s nice that breakfast is from 7:45-10:15 so it’s a big timeframe.

The only thing I would seek to improve is the WiFi strength. It was great on the first floor where breakfast is located, but it was really unstable in our room on the third floor.

The location of the hotel was ideal and the quality of the room was exceptional for the money

Overall this is great value for Menaggio! We loved our stay overall. We recommend it because of the room size, the friendly front desk, and the location. It’s in beautiful Menaggio and has direct lake views from the rooms. So pretty!!

The only thing we could say that was unfortunate was the rooms aren’t overly quiet. You can hear people talking and walking and we woke up every morning hearing banging and the sounds of the staff and cleaning. It would be wonderful if they didn’t start until after 11 am as people are jet lagged and on vacation hoping to sleep in peace and quiet. We hate to ever mention a negative on a review as fellow hosts ourselves but this is worth mentioning if you’re looking for somewhere very quiet.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Right on the lake and we had a balcony view, which made it even more special for us. Free all day parking just a few hundred metres down the road. The hotel is in a lovely little piazza and close to the ferries, cafes and supermarket. Our room was very comfortable and an excellent size. Highly reccommend

I liked everything about this hotel. It's in the centre of Menaggio, close to many restaurants and shops, but because the balconies of our room were facing the lake we didn't hear noise and loud music in the evening from the busy back street and enjoyed lovely lake views. The room was spacious and had everything my family needed for a comfortable stay. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and it was cleaned every single day even though we stayed in the hotel only for three nights. The receptionists were very nice and attentive, check in and check out processes were quick and smooth. Hotel Garni Corona is definitely worth the money you pay for it.

Perfect hotel in the most idilic breathtaking location! Totally adorable and beautiful place to come back after busy day exploring lace Como! Menaggio is much quieter and it was just perfect! The hotel overlooks the small square and has great views of the lake. It is perfectly situated to explore other places of interest on the lake via the excellent ferry services but as a town Menaggio is also very interesting. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and a great choice of breakfast is available which we'd definitely recommend!

We have no negative comments to make, our week was excellent.
