The view on lake Como is magnificent! Especially from the balcony and pool. (The downside is that you have to drive up and down the hill from time to time, which is a 10 minute drive along some interesting roads. You can also walk via alleys but I found the walk quite long (30 minutes for going up) to do regularly).

It was a bit unclear beforehand how we could enter the area and apartment but via booking chat we could reach one of the apartment owners. I advise you to reach out to them before you travel. The bathroom really needs an upgrade and some repairs. The restaurants nearby need to be reserved in advance since these were quite busy and it was not possible to wait we had to walk to the village last minute and eventually got our pizza just in time (since some kitchens close at 9PM and there are lines as well..)

breath taking view of the lake and surroundings from most of the residence. Swimming pool is very nice a short walk from the apt. Quiet and peaceful. Kitchen has all you need to prepare a nice meal, bathroom was clean and inviting, and comfortable beds.

absolutely stunning view; parking slot some 100m away (long stairs!); flexible staff for check-in-procedure (private person will be at the gate exactly the arrival-time you fixed in the reservation (so be punctual!)

payment not via credit card but only with bank-transfer; the interior is full with furniture of any kind which turns into a lack of some atmosphere; the most horrible and terrible advice was found in the booklet-Info for the guests in 4 languages: "We strongly please (ask you): Do NOT write any reviews about our apartments!" completed with a threat, that your (bad) review might be the reason another Host may not accept you (in future) - speechless!

The owner does not speak any foreign language so it will be difficult Getting in and out of property is a hussle Owner is very strict on vacating the place by 10am. Better get up early in your vacation to be on time to leave. No wifi. It is must since cellular internet is quite bad overall. Luckily I had only one day of telework and the cellular was sufficient for simple online meetings.

The view from the balcony is amazing. We really enjoyed sitting out there and having our coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and allowed us to check in early. We missed our turn coming in and arrived late to meet her at the gate. She was very understanding and kind. The apartment is located above Menaggio, about an 8 minute zig-zag drive up from town. The beds were fairly comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The area was very quiet- the only sound at night was the crickets. Even though we had a few issues, the place worked out well for our short visit. We could overlook some of the challenges for the incredible view.

There is a gate to enter the complex, operated by a code or key. Unfortunately, the gate was having problems and only worked with the key most of the time. This meant that we had to walk the key back down to the apartment to leave it there after using it at the gate to the get the car out upon departure. This entailed an uphill climb to get back to the car. The shower did not stay hot during the first shower upon arrival, however it was fine during the rest of the time so maybe it hadn't been used for a while. There is no internet at all, which I must have missed when reading the description. The lights outside are quite bright at night. Closing the shutters eliminates a lot of the brightness, but also restricts the outside air. Even with the shutters closed, there was still light coming into the room. Towels smelled a little musty. The place probably had not been used for a while due to Covid restrictions. No major complaints really. It was great for a short stay.

Apartment has an ant problem (living room, kitchen). There were small very used slivers of soap left in shower. Used remains of soap at the bathroom sink. Used toothpaste left. Used Q-Tip left behind in a bedroom end table drawer. Some food remains in a bowl in kitchen cabinet. The only way to darken bedroom was to draw heavy outside storm shutters, then too hot without air conditioning. Property described as “first floor”, yet there were 47 steps from car park to apartment with luggage. Bookings web site mentions washing machine, but no washer. We left a day early.
