Comfy and elegant rooms, spacious, very kind night staff, abundant and delicious breakfast buffet. A 3 minute walk from the station. Was a bit nervous as was with children and arriving at 11pm, after having read that the surroundings of the station were not safe. So I made sure using google street view etc that we knew exactly where we were going before leaving the station, as I felt it was important not to look hesitant. So we all walked super confidently towards the hotel, as if we'd lived there all our lives. Actually we shouldn't have worried, the surroundings were still full of people even at this time of night.

Location is very good because it's near Milano Centrale (as in less than 100 meters from the right exit door). The room size was just adequate for 2 guests. The best asset of this hotel is their staff from the front office, the porters and those in the restaurants. They are polite, kind and very accommodating. I even requested that we leave one of our luggage with them for safekeeping as we proceed to Switzerland to which they immediately agreed, FOR FREE! When we returned to Milan from Lucerne it was no hassle getting our luggage from them. Would certainly stay there again if I return to Milan.

The stairs from the street level door going down to the main lobby of the hotel is difficult especially if you have luggage to carry. Luckily, there is a door bell that would alert the porter who will carry your luggage. It would be nicer if the is an escalator also as you enter the hotel.

One of the top 3 hotels I've stayed in, anywhere in the world! We arrived after over 32hrs of straight travelling, and were greeted by excellent staff and a brilliant room. The bed was amazing, and while we didn't explore the pillow menu, having one is excellent. Mini bar options are great. Bathroom is great, hot water every time of day. Towels, super comfy. The gym is small but has everything you need for a holiday workout, and the bar area is very cool. Location was our primary draw card, but honestly if we ever come back to Milan I can't see us staying anywhere other than at the Anderson.

Love the room, breakfast and location. Room: we got the family room, well its more like interconnecting room but the bed and pillows were just right and comfortable for family of 4. Breakfast: Good spread of breakfast and clearly labeled. A good spread of pastries, cereals and bread esp for those who are particular abt Halal/Kosher option. Location: Very near to the train station and walking disctance to Carrefour and Halal Restaurants (mostly Indian/Pakistani or Mediterranean).

Room is not really soundproof, we can hear footsteps from above our room and the children's room had an electrical issue with the lights, but help came quite fast to fix them and change the fuse.

Location was right across the road from Milan Centrale Train station which made it very easy to get to the airport and quick train into the city center for exploring, I was only in Milan for a short trip and had an early flight the next day so opted to stay next to the station and was happy with my choice. The bed was so comfortable and they have pillow menu if you wanted but I was very happy with the pillows.

I was happy with my stay only thing I can say is that the hotel from the outside looks dated but inside is nice

I stay often at SH Anderson. Great venue strategically located aside of Milan main train station. Large rooms (deluxe is 23-25sqm), elegantly furnished. Nice breakfast, sweet and salty. With Starhotels Fidelity Programme "Star" you can redeem benefits (i.e. room upgrade) upon arrival at any stay.

In general, hotel rates have been increasing a lot after the pandemics in Italy. So 187€ for a double room w. bf is not an easy treat. No complimentary water bottle at arrival available in the room. Small breakfast room, tables very close to eachother. no SPA available.

As we were travelling through with elderly parents and needed a one-night stay close to the train station it was perfect. The staff were very accommodating and patient with my mother who likes to fill people’s day with her chatter and odd commentary. The rooms were spacious and well decorated.

There isn’t really a social space in the foyer. We had a nightcap from the bar before bed but needed to rearrange chairs to be able to drink them together as a party of 4. if anyone else wanted to do the same they’d have needed to stand.

The property was excellent value for money. I travel a lot for business and leisure, and was very impressed with the style and comfort of the hotel. coast, chic, excellent staff, ample rooms and directly across from the central station. will definitely come back here for my next visit to Milan.

The only thing I could criticise (and it’s a minor detail) would be the shower head was broken, so the water was stuck on jet, meaning it was a bit uncomfortable and splashed water all over the bathroom. Room was Number 405 if you want to have maintenance look at it. but again, minor detail in an otherwise excellent experience.

Great location - central to everything. The room was large, had twin beds. The facilities were great. It was clean, and the staff super helpful. My son and I had a great time in Milan and the hotel was lovely to come back to.

The shower door was leaky - the bathroom floor was covered in water - had to use more than one towel to mop it up. The show door needs to go, either have curtain instead of the half door that leaks at the bottom.

The location was great. Very close to the metro station and the central train station. It was easy to reach everywhere from the hotel, including the historic center, other cities, and airports. The room was clean and spacious. Especially, the attention to detail was superb. Everything you need and expect from a hotel at this price range was ready.

Nothing in particular, especially compared to similar hotels. It was better that expected in most factors I have in mind.
