I stayed in Ballartik while travelling solo just for 2 nights, it had stunning views of Palermo. My room was very clean and had access to a terrace, overlooking Palermo. Although I haven't booked my stay with breakfast, as I have food allergies, the kitchen had plenty of nice teas that you could enjoy on the terrace and that was a lovely touch :) The location was perfect, just by the local markets and close to all of the main attractions. Ros was a great host, helped me to book the next part of my journey, was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed.

It is clean, it is well situated, Rosario was a gem of a host. And what to say of the view. AMAZING. While the property is well situated for visiting, you are not staying in a super touristic place. You are a stone’s throw away from Palermo’s biggest market. I had the pleasure to stay in room 1 which even had a closed off private part of the shared terrace. The room was new, clean and well taken care of. The pictures of the view you see online are exactly like that. It’s what you get to look at every morning while having breakfast. My flight leaves early in the morning from Palermo so I rebooked one night for the end of my trip. Palermo centrale is a short walk away. Thanks again to Rosario whom I look forward to seeing again.

We were welcomed ahead of check in time which made our trip so much more comfortable. Rosario is a great host very welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and comfy with great view (6th floor) on Palermo old town. There is street market just on the steps of the building. You can also see it from the terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Luckily there is a lift in the building so you don’t need to worry to carry your luggage :) Ballarattik is very close to the train station and not far to old town attractions. We could leave our luggage after check out, which made these extra a few hours in Palermo even more enjoyable.

The property was a little bit difficult to locate, but a friendly neighbour pointed us in the right direction.

Walking distance is close to restaurants, monuments, fresh food just outside the door. Spectacular view of Palermo. Clean and maintained well. Wonderful breakfast on balcony each morning with owner Rosario sharing information about Sicily and recommendations to restaurants.

The property inside is very well maintained, safe and comfortable. Was a bit uncertain of location upon arriving but had no issues. Its in the oldest market area and very diverse. Much activity outside with venders selling fresh produce and foods. All the smells and discards that go along with the outdoor market. Very interesting viewing all the different vendors from different countries.

Our room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The communal veranda was nice and the views were amazing. A big thank you to Rosario and Family from Alan and Ivan.

The area was very bohemian, rustic and a bit basic, but we knew this would be the case. The close market was noisy at times, but had an attractive and vibrant ambience.

We stayed at Ballarattik on our last night in Sicily and just thought we’d get a cheap room near the station. It turned out perfect. It had a spectacular view overlooking the city including the markets and duomo and was really handy for us to get our last supplies before leaving..It was magic to see at sunset. The decor of the B&B was done in a very creative/artistic, personal style that was homely and welcoming as well as being very clean. Rosario, our host was super kind and attentive. We highly recommend Ballarattik.

This Bed and Breakfast offers an amazing view and really comfortable big rooms. The hosts were really friendly. The location is perfect (between train/bus station and the center), everything is within walking distance. It was possible to leave the luggage in the apartment after the check out. Highly recommended :)

the terrace was excellent for sitting in afternoon sun modern and clean bathroom - room quite basic but great value for money forgot my phone charger but Ros let me borrow one for entire stay - very good host

On first impressions it looks like b&b in a very poor scruffy area with a dark back alley and ramshackle lift - but not unsafe

Rosario, the owner, is a very friendly and interesting guy who has lots of useful information about the area. The balcony has a great view of the Palermo skyline and mountains beyond and is a great place to sit and have breakfast.

I liked everything.

This place was with fantastic view and very close to one of the known markets. Breakfast was very nice, we have got croissants and a coffee. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and healpfull. We enjoyed our stay in Palermo and in Ballarattik.

Everything was to our expectation. We had nothing to complain about. The room and place had everything we needed.
