First, the location is sublime. The place is literally on the piazza with the cathedral and the baptistry (the baptistry was fascinating, but the cathedral is truly a below-the-radar gem). The front desk people were amazing. Friendly and helpful. If you drive, they will have your car valet parked (also do not worry about driving in the pedestrian zone, they will register for the ZTL with the police). The room we rented was a 2br with kitchen (#210). Had a washing machine which was wonderful to get a quick and proper refresh of our clothes.

I am not sure how they could alter this, but the layout of the room is peculiar. The private room had 2 single beds, while the master bed was in the living room. Would reverse that and maybe put in a sofa bed. Also, for a room this size, would have thought a tub.

Amazing location! Not only is the hotel directly adjacent to the Duomo and Baptistery, it is also within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Parma - sights, shopping, bars, restaurants. We loved being right on the piazza and spent a lot of time just sitting and enjoying the space. The hotel was very comfortable - great room, comfortable bed, very clean, lots of space. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We also loved the valet parking which was easy and convenient.

The only negative was the wifi which didn’t work at all for some sites. It was fine for basic email, etc., but not for some of other things we needed.

We had two difficult experiences: First, we needed to check-in after 8pm because of a very long drive. We had been messaged that we simply needed to call them if we needed to check-in after 8pm. Instead of saying, “please call us if you will be late,” they need to say, “you will need to find street parking and we will leave you a code to get into your apartment.” That would make it more clear. I would have likely chosen a different location to make it less stressful to check-in by that time. Second, the hotel driver, after asking my husband to back up to give him room to move a vehicle which he did, the driver backed into my husband’s rental car. We told the lady at the front desk and she was apologetic.

Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati is right in the heart of Parma, on the square opposite the cathedral. The windows of our room looked out on the walls of the baptistry. We arrived by car, and the hotel made parking arrangements for us at extra cost. A small lift took us up to our room, which was comfortable and beautifully furnished, hung with many interesting pictures and photos. It had a functional kitchen with a small table for meals. The bathroom and shower were excellent. Parma has a fascinating history. There are great things to see and very few tourists. We spent the afternoon visiting the Galleria nazionale inside the Pilotta, which proved to be one of the highlights of our Italian tour. Highly recommend Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati.

Best location in Parma. We stayed in a gorgeous, huge, beautifully appointed 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment (#214) in separate building to the hotel, with the best view of the Baptistry. Breakfast included which was served in a choice of two places outside of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing 10/10 to Aileen & Allegra whom made our stay exceptional. Thank you both ! I highly recommend Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati. !! for Breakfast we chose 'La Forchetta' and also had dinner there one night.

Having to leave

This is a phenomenal property located in the heart of Palma and is part of a group of historical buildings. our room (214) had a very large dining, sitting and kitchen area that was very well decorated with modern Italian furnishings. Bedrooms were well sized with comfortable beds. Property had highly insulated windows that kept out street sounds and the winter chill. Reception staff was extremely helpful, providing suggestions for dining throughout Parma. Restaurant located with property provided breakfast (at extra charge) and had an excellent dinner menu. I highly recommend this property as we LOVED the location, our room and the helpfulness of the staff. I am planning to return when we can arrange for a friend's reunion as the interior is as inviting as the surrounding neighborhood!

Great location in the old town. Close to restaurants, sites and shopping. The rooms were all good size except for the bathroom. Good lighting throughout the suite. Parking was very close by and easy to access.

Something was going on regarding the breakfast provisions as we were told to go to a different restaurant every day of our stay. Not a huge issue but each location had a different understanding of what should be provided. None of which really met the usual standard for the type of accommodation as the options were quite limited. The bathroom was really small, especially for a two bedroom suite.

We stayed in a comfortable three bedroomed apartment, with kitchen facilities. One double room was equipped with a cot. The historic Palazzo is next to the Duomo and Baptistery, in the pedestrianised centre of Parma, convenient for shops, restaurants and galleries. Breakfast was not included but there are cafes nearby and meals are served in a cafe/restaurant in the courtyard. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We loved the size of the room and especially the kitchen area. We were able to purchase and cook our own food and enjoy a quiet meal in our own little space. The proximity to the square, restaurants and places of interest was perfect.

The bed was OK, but was not the most comfortable. It was much more firm than we prefer. It was also a bit awkward that the front desk was closed during the night. We had no issues, but I would have felt a little better knowing someone was there.

Everything was absolutely perfect.. an amazing gorgeous hotel, best location and wonderful professional staff. very comfy beds, lovely thick towels, toiletries. Great breakfast - We loved our 2 night stay here as 4 senior siblings we had a room at the Hotel and also one of the apartments, it all worked so well. I highly recommend "Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati"
