Villa Trigona is a hidden gem, a beautiful old building with large rooms, traditionally furnished, and we had a lovely balcony with a view over the gardens. This was our favourite place to stay in 3 weeks of travelling around the island and came at a price much less than some of the other hotels we used. The pool is a lovely area to relax in and it was nice to wander the grounds. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The location, whilst a little out of the way, was ideal to visit the very impressive Villa Romana del Casale which has the most amazing mosaics, still in situ within the ruins of an extensive Roman villa complex. It's also useful as a stopover on the way to Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, another very impressive site. We opted to have the evening meal which is an absolute must do with 4 courses of delicious Sicilian food and some wine included, at a very reasonable price. Again, one of the best meals we had in 3 weeks on Sicily. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thankyou Villa Trigona for making our first night ever in Sicily so memorable.

Nothing, everything was excellent!!

Everything - As soon as your get to the villa you are made welcome. The Villa has been updated to a high standard but keeping the charm and most of the original furnishings. Our room was a suite very spacious with lots of balconies and a special patio area. The room was clean and the bathroom was so clean with plenty of towels and a very good shower. The bed was so comfortable. There are plenty of public places to sit and enjoy. The exterior of the property was lovely well maintained with lots of shady areas. A lovely patio where in the summer months you enjoy a lovely breakfast and the homecooked evening meals. The pool was the best with lots of loungers in the shade or out. There are also lots of other activities, Table Tennis and bikes for the guests. This villa is in the centre of Sicily so was a good base to see some of Sicily sites. We went to The Valley of the Temples and Mount Etna. approx 1.5 hours away. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Trigona.

We only stayed for one night but it was in a very quiet and calm environment - beautiful gardens! Lovely dinner at 32eur pp and also car was parked on site behind the property gate. Property is very close to Piazza Armerina. Breakfast has a wide selection especially home made cakes, all of which were delicious. Staff was very nice and good spoken English. The 10% discount card at the outlet city was a nice bonus.

There is no elevator - you have to climb the stairs with your luggage if you are staying in the first floor. However, we knew about this beforehand from the reviews.

Wow - what an experience! We really wish we could have stayed longer. Villa Trigona is located just outside of Piazza Armerina, and only about 15 minute drive to Casa Roman Del Casale. The town is just about a 5 minute drive away and has decent shopping close by. The Villa has a large swimming pool, some little walking areas, and serves a first class dinner to guests who request it. We didn't stay in the main house, rather in a small out building, and our room was comfortable and quiet. We can't wait to go back!

Google provided us with inadequate directions and so we had some difficulty finding the property at first. If you approach it from the south end of Piazza Armerina there are signs and the approach is easy - so hint: don't follow the Google instructions!

Very nice property with unique interior and elements from the past. Room is very clean, beds are comfotable. Very nice swimming pool and the area, there’s two dept zones 1,1 and 1,95 m. so kids could play around safely. Also you can order some refreshment and snacks to the pool area. There’s an option to order a dinner at property, highly suggest that. 5 dishes wonderful dinner, and if You are with the kids, they get 5 dishes dinner as well just 2 main meals are from kids menu, incredible attention to children. Also I want to mention that staff at this property is amazing. From the receptionist to the kitchen staff, are very very friendly with smiles and ready to help or advise. There is one charger for EV in the parking.

The price for EV charger 8€/hour. Wifi not stable.

Food, location, character, outside spaces, lounges, decor.

Only one thing, there are a few rooms on the ground floor with patio doors onto the outside courtyard which was used by all the guests. The door was right next to the bed. There was no privacy at all in this room without closing the curtains which did not cover the windows completely. We refused this room and were given another so it was not our problem. Best stipulate when booking to have a room not on the same level as or overlooking the courtyard. But overall Villa Tregona was one of the best places we stayed in Sicily!!!!!

Very clean, staff all very helpful and very approachable, nothing is too much trouble. Very relaxed and peaceful. The pool area is amazing. We had a meal a couple of times and was really nice and a lot of food for a really good price. Would highly recommend.

Difficult to get about and get into the main town, unless you are driving. Always pre book your taxis before as you cannot get one from the Villa. Could have had an outside toliet at the pool area. Other than that it’s perfect.

Lovely pool with surrounding garden and olive groves. Quiet and well appointed . Good breakfast with home cooked pastries and bread . Parking at the property . Charming and helpful staff.

I had booked a room with three beds and one was a fairly uncomfortable put you up sofa ... however once I let them know they were very obliging and provided me with a proper bed . Dinner was offered in the evening , a typically long affair with many courses , delicious but too much for us . We remedied this by ordering two dinners which we shared for four !

The grounds are beautiful and it's amazing that it is so country-like while being just a couple of minutes outside of town (Piazza Armerina). The staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was varied and one would definitely fill up on what is offered. I wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities (grounds and pool).

Some features are a bit dated/worn (bathroom fixtures, lighting). The quality of the coffee was not great, especially considering this is Italy, so expectations were high.

We arrived in the evening and as we walked around the corner to get to the reception from the parking lot, we were greeted by an amazing scene: A courtyard with candles lit all over (they were citronella candles to help with the bugs but were elegantly placed so it looked like a classics oil lamps) a soft meditation-like music playing in the background, soft lighting, tables set up for dinner and a couple of families quietly enjoying their meal. We were greeted by the host who promptly took us to our rooms. It was late and the kitchen was close to closing so we decided to go to our dinner right away. This dinner is extra and you have to specifically make a reservation for it - but believe me, it is worth it! You get an appetizer, first and second courses, dessert, and house red wine and water are there when you sit. Bread of course is also provided. The food was fantastic! And bonus, if you tell them ahead of time any dietary issues you may have, they will accommodate. At this point we've been travelling Italy for 3+ weeks and throughout, we have to tell the staff that my wife can't eat this or that due to intolerances. Imagine her sitting down and being given all of the dishes, and them proactively telling her it's safe per our request! Little things that mean so much to us so that was a really positive experience. After dinner, we had to switch rooms due to a sleeping arrangement modification and the host was ready and was able to adjust to our request. The villa is fantastic. Built in 700! All the rooms are air conditioned (was much needed during the very hot June weather in Italy) and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was perfect. Make sure to walk the property. It's a very peaceful farm and if you go in the early hours, you'll be greeted by nature and roosters greeting the sun! Highly recommend this place!
