Waldo and Iris were available at the front desk, throughout the day, to help with all of our questions and concerns. They are both very friendly and professional. The location in Rapallo is excellent for easy access to ferries, restaurants and shopping. I appreciated that, after our first day, I was asked via email what my first impressions were. Given the opportunity, I communicated issues with the pillows and bed firmness They immediately made corrective efforts to fix the issues and our 6 night stay was much more comfortable as a result. I also learned that it was more efficient to go to them at the front desk for any questions/concerns, as they were able to communicate clearly in many languages (for tourists like myself that don't speak or understand Italian), providing a much less frustrating experience for all parties involved.

With no fault of the hotel, the private beach was inaccessible due to a local water problem. Parking is very difficult and time consuming to find spaces close to the hotel....or anywhere for that matter. Again, not an issue unique to this hotel.

I just loved this hotel! And believe me it’s far above 3 stars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well and when I asked for a net to cover the balcony as came with a cat - they had it done the next morning. They clean rooms every day. Big enough room for one person with an amazing view and bathroom. And!! Air conditioning which worked perfectly. Thanks! The location is the best - next to the restaurants and Bagni (beaches). I do recommend!

Perfect location by the beach boulevard with many restaurants, shops and supermarkets close by. The room was very nice and clean, bathroom was big and fancy, towels and bed linen were very soft and nice.

The air conditioning could not be monitored from the room, so we had to ask the reception to change it a bit warmer since we were freezing the first night. Breakfast did not have much gluten free options other than joghurt and eggs, so would not eat breakfast there if you are gluten free.

The hotel was right on the waterfront next to Castello sul Mare and, apart from the magnificent views, it was so easy to walk to the restaurants and cafes, the ferry and the train station. The view from our room looking out over the castle and the bay was absolutely fantastic! The staff were always very friendly and helpful.

There is no iron at all in the hotel - they don’t own one and don’t allow anyone to bring one and use it. This was annoying when I wanted to iron crushed clothes from my suitcase. There are a lot of mosquito breeding in the river next to the hotel, and this meant we couldn’t sit on the balcony for extended periods or leave our balcony doors open. The hotel did supply a plug-in mosquito repellant however when we said we had a problem with the mosquitoes.

Location is just perfect! Very close to the public and private beaches so you have a choice. So great to have a morning swim before having breakfast. Also very clean, and new inside the rooms. The view from the room was absolutely fantastic! It was a pleasure to wake up every morning with a view on Portofino! Loved this hotel.

The room looked a bit minimalistic, but it is nothing comparing to the quality of service, location and the view from the room.

The hotel is situated a couple of minutes from the train station and also it is located next to a public beach. The promenade is few metres away. Restaurants are also near making it easy to dine. Rapallo centre is reachable by walk where one can find shops and cafeterias all over. The funevia is between 200 and 300 metres from the hotel which can take you to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro., where one can enjoy spectacular views. The ferries to cinque terre and Portofino are between 100 to 200 metres away from the hotel. The staff was great and responsive to our needs. What ever we asked they explained to every detail. The second day of our stay we ended up with mosquitoes in our room, and when we informed the receptionists, they immediately took action. We enjoyed the stay and sure we will return.

The room had a bad smell when the air-condition was turned on. We informed the receptionists and the following night after we returned to the room, we did not smell bad smell a the night before.. Something was done for sure. I think the room needs some refurbishing although it was clean. Just a remark that although we did not book a Seaview room we were given an upgrade, with a room in the first floor with a window overlooking the castle.. So I cannot complain on that. Overall the stay was nice..

The room with sea view, was amazing. The bed was confortable, and the bathroom was big enough. But sleeping with the sound of sea waves was the best. We didnt try the breakfast. And we left the car in front of a "gelateria", next to the hotel, the blue stripes we needed to pay for it. But there is other places to park for free, at the withe stripes. The weather was perfect, and the hotel is very well located.

Excellent location right on the promenade and easy walking distance from train station even with suitcases. Very nice staff so helpful and friendly and always had a smile for you. Close to all the restaurants.

Our 1st room had a smell in it which was very unpleasant but when we complained we were upgraded to a beautiful sea view room with a private balcony.

The corner rooms with sea view and balcony are exceptional from a viewing perspective. It's not big by any means but its more than sufficient for a couple of days stay. You wouldn't need more than that anyway. Also it's very close to the train station, the beach and the city center are in walking distance

A little fridge would've been useful.
