The room we had felt so luxurious! The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was super clean! I did not want to leave. If I could I would have moved into this room, that's how much I loved it. The hotel is really close to Traverse, which means you are super close to really nice restaurants and bars. There was also an amazing pizza shop just across the street from the hotel. I am very picky when it come to hotels and I would highly recommend this one.

Nothing.

The property is in a very good central location. Rooms are spacious, modern, comfy and clean. Instructions for check in were very clear and the owners are very helpful with any needs you may have. It is more of an Air bnb than hotel as there is not always someone at the desk - but they make sure you have a contact number if needed :)

It can get a little loud with other guests entering and leaving the property as the door needs to be slammed quite hard to close. However this did not affect our stay.

Although not the easiest to find when arriving, it was in a great location for us. We were able to easily walk all around the main attractions in Rome. With the walking, we probably averaged close to 10 miles a day of walking because we were only there for a few days and wanted to see multiple different attractions on the same day. Great food was available very close by the room. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend. The room was very spacious and nice.

The location is great, close to bus routes, right across the river from Trastevere, and within 25min walk of almost all major city attractions! Very clean, updated and comfortable bed. We stayed for 4 nights and had zero issues the whole time even though reception is only open for limited hours. I would definitely stay here again while in Rome! Great value for the location and space! Also have to note they offer a nice powerful blow dryer to use… not those dinky wall dryers in most European hotels.

The only thing I would mention is the lack of an iron in the room. There was one morning I wish I had one and we were leaving before reception was open, but not a huge deal. I just hung my shorts in the bathroom while I showered to steam them.

The property is perfectly located. The building is incredible with a stunning indoor quiet, idyllic courtyard. The old lifts were very cool. Our room was spacious enough for us. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean and nice.

My only complaint was that when I booked through Booking . com it said that our child was included in the cost which would make it 3 guests. I just assumed that would mean that we would have 3 beds to accommodate us. I was contacted later and was told it would be an additional €30 for a cot. I let them know how that didn’t make sense to me because when I booked it said my child was included. They said yes they are but if we want a bed for them then it will cost extra. My thought is, how is he included in the price then? To sleep in our bed? It just seems very dishonest. It’s more of a rant than anything. I had spoke back and forth with an employee at the B&B and in the end just payed the fee because I can’t be bothered to argue about it.

The building was a beautiful, historic site that is located in a very central area that felt both safe and extremely convenient for all the major sites. The room was clean, comfortable and a decent size for a city centre. Decorated in a nice minimal, modern style. Street noise was mentioned in a few reviews but we found that this was not an issue at all, maybe there are new windows but the street noise was very minimal. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There is not much in the way of amenities and reception is only available for a few hours a day. Breakfast (served in a small cafe next door) was very basic but acceptable. None of these are really an issue though considering the price and that we were out and about in the city all day anyway.

Good communications about accessing the building and the apartments as we arrived outside of reception hours. The outer entrance was behind a double wooden door that lead to a fantastic courtyard. Small old style lift to the correct floor but very easy to use. Keys left for our rooms and both were clean comfortable and ideal for our needs. One room was slightly smaller than the other but both good. We were able to leave our suitcases in reception on the day we left which was appreciated. Whilst not affecting us there was no obvious access to the lift for anybody using a mobility aid - like a scooter or wheelchair and each room had a small step up too.

Nothing that we observed to be a negative on our stay

The location of the hotel couldn't be better. The room was more spacious than usually in the main capitols in Europe, especially the beautiful bathroom. Bed was almost as comfortable as at home, the black out curtains were long enough, there were always fresh towels and there was so clean The communication with the personnel was fluent and helpful. And, Wifi was excellent. Definitely will use Arenula Suites again.

It was a central location especially for a solo traveller. You are 5 minute walk from all the restaurants and bars in the Trastevere area. A 20 minute walk to places like the trevi fountain. And the colosseum. The check in was really simple, and staff at the desk where present when needed or just a phonecall away. The room was clean and beautiful! Claudia was so helpful and she gave me a map and circled all the places to visit and places to go for breakfast! Even if you walked further up to the Vatican (about 30 minutes walk) but I saw places on the way. There were free buses that you could get back down to Trastevere. I think it was number 83. I would definitely go back.

Friendly and helpful staff, flexible and attentive in every way. We felt welcomed and well taken care off, arrival and departure was handled smoothly with easy check-in (self service) and check-out procedures and luggage storage. Great location.

The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. The room was quite small and the walls were so thin you could hear everything going on at the reception and in the next room. We would have loved to love the place, as the staff was super great, the building is grand with a lovely entrance and the room was neat and tidy and up to date, but due to the terrible mattress and the noise and the cramped arrangement of built-in rooms and only a small corridor as a common area, it felt as staying in a dormitory. The room was by no means a suite because of the lack of overall comfort. A good option if you don't mind your sleeping arrangements and plan to spend all your waking hours exploring the city.
