Auditorium Mecenate

We were moved to the Santa María hostel, were very happy with the room. Excellent location, room was clean, good size and quiet. Staff very friendly.

Agree with previous reviews for Auditorium Mecante that was difficult to find, the street address is accurate then you need to find the name of the hotel next to door to push the call bell (amongst 16 other names). The hotel is level 3.

We liked everything in the hotel Auditorium Mecenate. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean and it was cleaned every day during our stay. There was a coffee machine and a tea kettle in the room with coffee capsules and tea bags. They left 2 bottles of water for us every day and each morning we found croissants in front of our door. This is something I didn't experience in any hotel and it was so nice. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. It was close to the Termini station, it was walking distance from the Coliseum. But it was also a quiet neighborhood, far from the crowded streets.

The only think I'll mention is maybe the sound isolation, which is a problem in many hotel in my experience. The shower head was also a bit old and had some spikes that could scratch you if you're not careful.

Hotel was fantastic location to train station, bus stops, colosseum only 10 minute walk away. Host was absolutely lovely and attentive, got a text asking if we needed anything. Room was lovely had everything you needed tea and coffee facilities and fresh bakery on our door in the morning which was a nice touch. Even got little slippers. Room was nice and toasty and was easy to find. It’s opposite a pharmacy, brown door and go up to 3rd floor and ring a bell.

Very noisy street but it’s not the hotels fault so if you are a light sleeper this may be an issue for you

After my three days vacation, I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Rome for the first time. Firstly the location of the hotel is very convenient, there is a metro, bus stop and a tour bus stop not far from the hotel. Secondly the staff are very nice, you can easily contact them in WhatsApp. they will give you a map of Rome when you check in and give you easy directions to get around and the top places to visit. The room is cozy and tidy also sweet bread is provided for breakfast every morning. I stayed here for one day in a single room and two days in a double room. I would recommend the double room as it is spacious and bright (even you comes alone, it still a good choice) and you have a private bathroom in the room.

the address on booking. com was not exactly where it is, you might go to the wrong gate in first time (but it's not a big deal because the staff will come to pick you really soon)

The hostess was very friendly and provided everything we needed. There was some food and drinks available in the fridge for free. We also got two pastries every morning for breakfast for free. The rooms look exactly like shown on the website and the location of the b&b was fantastic.

The bathroom and the room in general was rather small. That wasn’t a problem for us because we only used the room for sleeping. However we didn’t have much space to store our luggage and towls

To tell that we loved staff working there wouldnt be enough... People working there are amazing, generous, very helpful and Kind! We stayed there for the New years eve and we also recieved a free bottle of champagne! Another thing that surprised us nicely was the fact of free small broche in the Morning. Every room had his own small bag of two crossaints before the door to the room. Room was clean, it had small coffee Machine, kettle and some tea, coffee capsules and glasses. Toilet was quite small but the fact that we had every day a fresh tovels and shower gels pay it off.

Localization - close to the center and more attraction in Rome. Customer service - every day cleaning a room and sweet treat every day. Comfortable bed and lift in object.

The biggest problem for me was weak pressure of warm water in a shower. There was some noise from street, because there is old window. We didn’t have TV with Netflix - it’s not big problem, if you travel for sightseeing.

The staff was great, very friendly, very helpful. The pastries every morning were very nice and the room had everything necessary. The location is very good, close to the train station and the Colosseum. There's also a few good bakeries in the street. The room is cleaned and tidied everyday if asked for. We had a lovely time.

The shower had limited water pressure and wasn't in excellent condition. The bed was good but not the most comfortable.

The room was cosy, the equipment a little bit older but in very good shape and very clean, room service everyday, including breakfast (pastry to the room every morning), all necessities (towels, toileteries, kettle, tea/coffee, fridge and even some snacks, hair dryer,..), luggage storage for free after check out, the receptionist were excellent

the walls are very thin (you can hear other guests)

Super friendly staff, very comfortable bed, good AC, many nice little touches. They care about their property and it shows. They left pastries hanging on my door every morning and kept the mini fridge stocked with water and yogurt.

The hotel is inside of a mixed use building, there is no signage out front. What ya need to do is take the elevator to the third floor, then walk half way down the hall. Not a complaint, just figured worth mentioning.
