Hotel Medici

I was a little nervous about choosing this hotel for staying with my parents as I normally have bad experiences in such big touristic cities as Rome. But the hotel turned out to be actually very decent. Apart from some refreshing that the room definitely needs (painting the walls etc), it is clean, has everything you need, bathroom is fine everything works well, we’ve had a window going to the street but it wasn’t too loud, there’s AC, the rooms are cleaned, so really everything you’d expect from a hotel for this price. It is maybe a bit outdated but overall really ok as to price / quality.

Loved staying at hotel Medici, we stayed a family of four in one room, we ate breakfast two of those mornings which was well priced and has everything we enjoyed, pastries, fruit, eggs, coffee cereal yoghurt and juice. It was a great location and we walked everywhere. The aircon worked well, they had a lift, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were so kind and helpful, we will definitely stay here when we next visit Rome! The high ceilings gave a great sense of space and the windows opened out to see the neighbourhood. We ate locally most nights.

My room was comfortable, enough for 3 nights. It was clean and the best part is that it has a mini fridge. Located close to the main attractions, matter effect I was there 2 years in a row.

The down fall was the breakfast. Only tried it once and it’s not a healthy breakfast to give a kick to all the walking around the city. They should add some eggs and more fruit to the buffet table. I’m sure visitors would eat there more than once😉

Great location and staff very friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and nice. The Via Flavia is a good location and also has some lovely restaurants on it. The one literally opposite the front door is great value and very tasty food, and 50 Kalo just down the road does a fantastic pizza. Ididn't have breakfast ordered in my booking so can't comment on food.There's a very nice wine bar literally 50metrrs with soothing jazz and a lovely way to finish your day with a nightcap.

Some tea or coffee making would be a nice addition to the rooms.

The hotel was clean and had all the expected facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating to travellers. There is an amazing restaurant across the street and a coffee shop just around the corner. The walk to the station was only about 15-20 minutes with luggage and it's really easy to get to the amazing sights in Rome!

The link to the address took us to a different building, so we'd recommend typing the address into Google Maps to find it. The hotel isn't super modern, but it had everything that we needed for our family for our stay in Rome.

Located in a nice area of Rome--not too busy--and with multiple cafes, restaurants, and gelato places. Reception is staffed 24/7, and hotel/room felt very safe. Room was spacious and appreciated the cooling unit.

The on-site breakfast is terrible--don't buy it! Instead, go to one of the nearby cafes, several of which offer counter service and are quick if you need them to be. Also, the check out process was ridiculously inefficient and held us up when we needed to head out (I'm not sure why they didn't collect payment at check in, as many of my other Booking.com hotels did on my trip).

The bed was big. The air conditioning was good. The front desk was 24 hours. The staff were very professional and helpful. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the room was made up Daly.

The hotel had no facilities such as tea or coffee served on site. Sometimes it's just nice to sit back in your hotel and relax out on the terrace having a refreshing drink, but the hotel did not sell anything. There were plenty of places just a short walk away though. The pillows were very hard. Could be softer. No on site restaurant or bar or even in room tea/coffee making facilities. Carpet on main stairwell we're very dirty and worn which could be replaced.

Staff are friendly Classical hotel style with relatively spacious room. 13-15 minutes walk to everything main areas and also termini. Live and quite area as well. Restaurant and supermarket nearby

Despite location is good yet still 15 to 18 minutes walk are needed to reach main areas including termini but no surprise as it is quite noticeable on the map

The location was really good just outside of very centre so quiet and really felt safe. very clean. nice seating area at the back. big rooms.

Our air-con broke one evening and I felt I had to be quite insistent with the front desk to get them to do anything about it. we did manage to get a portable ac unit by standing around reception but if we had not done this the front desk staff member would have been happy to leave my two children and I to have no air conditioning during one of the hottest nights of the year which would have been quite uncomfortable.

I booked a single room, and I received an upgrade, a double room with a tub in the bathroom as I request when I booked the room, but I was not expected a double room. The hotel is very cute, for a short stay, it’s not a noisy area, or a noisy hotel, and it is quite safe. What I don’t like it’s the policy with the key, and its a very weird key.
