What makes this hotel are the people. The staff at this hotel are so helpful, approachable and comforting. One staff member in particular, Julia, her hospitality is second to none. She made my family and I feel so welcome - from the moment we walked in where she offered us refreshments, to making sure the breakfast was always full and fresh, to constantly being ready to offer guidance on our travels. My family and I would come back to this hotel just purely because of the way we were treated as guests. The location of this hotel is second to none as you are in the heart of Romes nightlife and best restaurants. As well as the nightlife, every single monument and tourist attraction is close enough to this hotel, that everything is walking distance which is perfect for a European city break.

Hotel Trastevere was in a fabulous location- if you don’t mind a short walk to the big attractions- it is really nice to escape the hustle of Rome but also have a bit of excitement through the laneways of restaurants and bars. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and accomodating and approach your visit as if you were family, from a cooling beverage on arrival to your coffee order in the morning over breakfast and mapping out your day with you they were just lovely. We stayed in the side part of the hotel which firstly was very secure, tiled which made for a welcomed cool temperature everytime we got home from a big day out in the heat. There was also aircon. The bed was comfy! Breakfast was convenient and fresh.

They only downfall was the shared hallway with other rooms had some noisy and slow neighbours who made a little too much noise during their transits in and out of their rooms which was inconvenient.

Location was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful - Pedro went out of his way to give us the "lie of the land" after we arrived - and ideas for our initial walk to the wider Roman Forum area. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate for our purposes with warm fresh croissants, delicious coffee and fruit.

Honestly - we were in room 14 which backed onto the market place - and there were crowds of folk below the window and we could unfortunately hear them until fairly late at night. So quite a significant noise factor when trying to go to sleep. I think this could be mitigated with some double glazing on the affected rooms?

This property is a gem, it was an unbelievable value, a thoroughly wonderful and amazing property in an excellent location. The staff were so kind and helpful! In particular, Helena, Julia, and Pedro (hello to all of you, in the event you are reading this review) were professional and thorough, and so much fun to talk to!! I booked several months in advance and was glad I did so because I only paid about 90 Euros per night. Don't get me wrong, it's a basic accommodation, but it has what you need, an elevator, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed and updated bathroom. Best of all, each morning there was a really good spread of a breakfast with lots of rolls, toast, meat and cheeses, coffees and teas and yogurts and cereal! All included. I cannot say enough about the hotel's Trastevere district location. It is in an upbeat & bohemian and very hip area — minutes from everything....great restaurants abound.

Everything was 100% perfect! You simply cannot beat this property for a value and location, and the staff particularly lovely Julia at the front desk, were so professional and gracious.

the location to Trastevere neighborhood and all the little d restaurants was fabulous - very close to all other major sights such as Colosseum and Vatican - allowed us to work everywhere which was great! the huge windows were lovely to open up to the breeze in the afternoon! the air conditioning was very quiet overnight and efficient! above all the staff were fantastic - each one was very helpful and pleasant and tried hard to meet all of our needs - they were all so friendly! the cappuccinos in the morning and light breakfast were also very nice! Grazie!!

the graffiti on the approach to the hotel was a bit of a surprise however we realized that all of Trastevere had many signs of graffiti too!

we arrived after midnight and the receptionist was very helpful even though he did not speak much English. The staff that we met the next day was exceptional, very helpful and welcoming. Their English was flawless. They gave us cappuccino, tea and juice with croissants even though the breakfast was over, but we missed it due to our very late arrival in the night. This was our first experience of Rome and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a hotel in Rome. The Location is perfect also. The room was clean and safe and met our expectations. This hotel is great value and I do recommend it.

The location of the property was spot on. close to all the cafes and restaurants. walking distance to all the major attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went over and beyond to help us with directions, advising on local transportation.

If the property was updated a little with modern furniture it would make it even better. The beds and furniture in the room were old. We could also hear people talking from other bedrooms and shower and toilet noises. If you happen to stay on Friday or Saturday you will hear the hustle and bustle from the streets as the area has lots bars.

The property was in a great location, close to all restaurants and bars. Rooms were big and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The staff at breakfast would go over and beyond to help.

Rooms and bathrooms were a little dated, I would recommend a little update would help. Also the walls are very thin so you could hear conversations from other rooms. if you are staying on a Friday night be prepared for noise from the outside as Trastevere is full of bars and all young people are out partying.

Super welcome at reception. There were four of us sharing a quadruple room at completion of Via Francigena pilgrimage but it was fine. Bathroom clean. Relaxed breakfast, good choice. Also, the bohemian Trastevere area is a revelation, with it's own history, and walking distance to Ancient Rome and the Vatican. Plentiful bars, restaurants and coffee shops all around.

Noise. Unfortunately, sleep was disturbed by market traders opening and closing their shutters during the night. No fault of the hotel, of course. I recommend requesting a room at the front or, if at the rear, closing the windows and using the aircon instead.

The hotel was very good! It was very clean and tidy. The location was perfect. There are lots of restaurants, cafe's and markets near to the hotel. People was walking all the time every day...so it was also a safe location if you want to return late. The hotel staff was absolutely kind. Julia gave us a map and informations. Also, she explained us everything about the area and the center of the Rome. Special thanks to Julia and the women that prepared us the breakfast because they made us feeling like home. They made me a surprise about my birthday!!!! Just like home!!!! If you want going to the center you probably need to walk a lot...maybe 15 minutes....but Trastevere and the route to the center is so beautiful that it's not a problem. Also you can use a bus if you prefer! Thanks a lot to the staff....we will back soon!!!!
