Excellent location!!! While this hotel doesn’t visually standout from the street like others, it checked all the boxes for us. There are two buildings and we were in the one right next door to the lobby. Very nice people working there. The breakfast was included and it was the cutest most pleasant ever. I wish we had more time to utilize the breakfast but it’s great - so much better than American continental breakfasts. The coffee was the best I had in Rome. We were able to walk all around this neighborhood and felt very safe, with lots of shops and restaurants. Roma Termini was just a 6 minute walk! We caught our double decker bus tour very close as well. The rooms aren’t huge but big compared to many Italian hotel rooms. I’d definitely stay at Mascagni again! It’s not flashy, but it’s nice and reasonably priced for the location.

It’s not cheap, but had I been able to reserve earlier it would likely be a better price. The phone in the room didn’t work so it was really hard to get in touch with the front desk since they were usually busy when I called from my own phone.

nice rooms just the right size, bathroom had the basic necessities, breakfast had a nice variety of everything, it’s a small buffet but had all the basics and everything was tasty and just right. the staff at breakfast were super friendly and attentive. also Victoria at the reception was very helpful and informative

the step at the entrance of the room, the step at the entrance of the breakfast room. because the flooring is dark one might not notice it. I was visiting with my mom and she tripped going out of the dinning room as the hallway was dark she didn’t notice the step going up. but the guys Alexandro “senior Verdi” and another gentleman helped her get up. Thank God she wasn’t hurt.

Great location, for us it was fine walking 15-20 mins to all main attractions It 10mins to central station, for someone it might be a disadvantage, but it was fine for us New rooms, big bed and bathroom Delicious breakfast with good selection of things Friendly and helpful staff, but that’s everywhere in Italy :) There is a convenience store next door If you book in advance you can get a very nice price inc breakfast

The only complaint we had was is that the rooms are not noise-proof and you can hear everything what neighbors are doing, what’s going on in the hallway or how staff is preparing the breakfast room at 7:00am

They messed up the rooming order that i set up so the birthday girl did not get the room that I set up

We were delighted to be able to extend our stay here rather than having to change hotels as originally planned. The location is outstanding. Most major sites are within 20 minutes walk or bus and metro are almost on the doorstep. Termini is less than 10 minutes away. We had a deluxe room which was adequate for a longer stay. I suspect the standard rooms may be a bit cramped for more than a few nights (you don't expect large rooms in older buildings in Rome). The breakfast was good with some daily variation in the cooked items. Unlike some hotels, there were ample staff. Gabrielle and his crew of Alessandro and the others did a great job of making sure everything was replenished, removing used plates, providing personal attention etc. The staff on the reception desk were great - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful - especially Viktoria and Luciano. Housekeeping was fine, although minor details were sometimes missed such as replacing used plastic glasses and cleaning residue from soap dishes. We did notice that one housekeeper, Sonia, did a really thorough job on the room.

rooms are spacious and the decor is really good. definitely worth the money we paid. bathroom was also very nice. they offered free coffee and and tea but it would of been nice if we had maybe a bottle of water or two on arrival. breakfast is nice but area is a little small. staff are very welcoming and friendly. will come again.

would of like a bottle water or two upon arrival and topped up every day as the most important drink for the weather is water and not coffee. we had a room in the luxury part of the hotel but you needed to leave the main hotel outside and go into another building next door.

Great location and nice rooms. Our AC was not working well and the room never got cold. The staff at the front desk and bar were great! The night manager was not so pleasant. When we asked to have the AC checked he said well we had it serviced two weeks ago but did nothing to solve the problem. He also yelled at us through the intercom when trying to open the automatic door (we didn’t know it takes about 10 seconds to start to move). We met others whose rooms were very cold so we just had some bad luck. It is a great place to stay if you get a good AC and steer clear of the night guy!!

Everything was good, same as advertised, which rarely happens. Room was big enough, beds comfortable, stadf nice, breakfast was good (also that's rare for Italian breakfast, but there was everything you'd eat for breakfast), staff at breakfast were also very nice! Rooms ar at 4th floor of the building next to the hotel Mascagni, but that's no issue. View from the balcony is also nice! I needed iron one day, and they set up iron & ironing board at the common area in front of the rooms. Nice!

Just expect that you are in the city center and ther will be noise from traffic. Also you will hear people talking in the hallway, cleaning ladies, etc. It's not that bad, it's just a heads-up, obviously those are nit sound proof rooms. However, that didn't bother me at all.

Great location and walkable to all the main sites, we had a very spacious suite, 2 bathrooms was a pleasant surprise and deal for families. Room wasn't ready as we arrived early but luggage had been placed in our room when we returned, staff are really kind and helpful and clearly want you to have a lovely stay. The luxury suites are separate from the hotel but the entrance is right next door and very secure, it wasn't a problem to us. I was surprised how quite it was given the city centre location, no noise disturbance.

Breakfast room didn't feel comfortable - a bit claustrophobic, set out in 3 small separate rooms - would perhaps be better as one big open space, however very lovely staff making the best of the space they have!

Reception is available 24 hrs so no additional charges for late check in. Stuff is very friendly and smiley, had no issue to leave my luggage on the check out day as my flight was late evening that day. The location of the hotel is amazing (very close to the Termini train station). Breakfast was included to the stay and was simple but nice, different cakes every day, a lot of coffee. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room were very nice. The bed was comfortable. Wi-fi connection was good to check social networks. Overall, a good value for money. I would definitely go back. Some rooms are located in a different building, so to get to the breakfast facility you have to go back to the building, where the reception is (not very comfortable when the weather is not very nice), but it takes only a few minutes so not crucial at all. Could hear other guests from neighboring rooms (e.g. TV, shower noise), maybe some soundproof system might help.
