Location, price and the staffs. This place is a hostel with 8 beds (4 bunkers) So you share it with 6 other people. But for us it's ok (my husband and I. Everybody is minding their own business.

The shower room doesn't have shelf to put your shampoo/conditioner and body wash/soap.

Daniele is very nice host. You Can ask him about anything and he will likely answer you. The room are cleaned everyday, the kitchen is useful if u wanna eat in the hostel (there's a supermarket really close from the hostel and it's open til 21 pm). You can also go out and come by at anytime. You have lockers inside the room to protect your personal devices. The hostel is 20 min by walk from the colosseo, then another 20 min we'll get you to the foutain Trevi or the pantheon. There's also a Subway station about 5 min by walk. Caracalla thermes are also at 20 min. I had a really good experience at the melting pot and the last but not the least, the price is really fair for Roma.

Reception staff were very nice and welcoming

Just a bit expensive but I suppose it's Rome in June, but €75 p/n is by far the most expensive I have ever paid for a dorm 🥴🙁

The reception is covered 24/7, and they answered the phone when contacted. Out of all hostels in Rome, this is by far my favourite for it permits its guests enough privacy and provides all comfort of a hostel, like the fully equipped kitchen. I stayed in a three-bedded female dormitory and it has a good shower too.

Nothing to point out. The hall is not that large but there is room to sit down and watch TV or work, and in summer they also have a little outdoor space with tables etc. For people working, it’s better to use earplugs because it could get busy. Plenty of plugs available to charge too.

Amazing experience with amazing people. The manager and the staff were absolutely wonderful, always triying to help and to show us the best things to do in Rome. They are very precautionnous about having the place clean and well-managed. The first and best and cheapest gelateria of Italy is only on the corner of the street, for 2.50€ you have a huge quantity and the best flavours you could ever have (i especially recommend the Zabayone flavour) The hostel is about 20 min walk from the train station, and close to many restaurants, to lavomatics, and to a wonderful park with bars and open-air cinema during summer. In the neighbourhood there are the termes of dioclethian, and the basilica saint maria maggiore, and church santa maria degli angeli e dei martiri with a wonderful sundial. The hostel is only 15 min in bus or subway from the Colosseo and the city center. In the neighbourhood: Park with bars and open-air cinema in summer, restaurants, Guitar, board games, beer and terrace to enjoy the best atmosphere you've probably ever wished to have when coming to Rome with people from all around the world. Safety: The staff personnaly opens the door everytime night and day to welcome guests, so no risk of unwanted intrusion. Lockers available in the room. Food: A fridge and drawers to store food. Basic necessary food is provided by the hostel: coffee, tea, oil, salt, sugar etc. I strongly recommend. I was sad to leave and I really hope to come back.

I was really impressed by the size of the room (4-bed dorm), other hostels would definitely have put another 4 beds in. The bathroom was modern, the bed was comfortable, and had a personal light and a socket right next to it. The kitchen seemed well equipped and the place was very clean. There's a nice courtyard as well, and it seemed sociable enough around dinner time. I had an early flight from Fiumicino so being so close to Termini was really handy as well!

The only two things I'd suggest are: - Individual curtains around each bed (for privacy and for better sleep) - Handheld showerhead, as the one available was fixed to the ceiling Everything else was perfect!

This place was perfect for me as I was traveling alone and wanting to meet kind locals. Right away I got this when I arrived to Melting Pot hostel. I was greeted by the friendly and hospitable staff, one of them offered me a coffee and the other half of his croissant. He taught me a phrase in Italian "He who eats alone chokes". Feeling welcomed in a foreign place is one of the best feelings ever and that is how I felt during my stay at Melting Pot. Daniele and I even played guitar and sang together and I met amazing people from all over the world. On top of this, it is in a great location, next to a supermarket, and has a beautiful patio with jasmine flowers. I hope to keep in contact with the people I met and am so grateful for the kind staff. Grazie mille Daniele per tutto.

Staff is friendly and polite. Air conditioner works and best to have in hot times. Kept my luggage in hostel after checkout. Bathroom is inside the room. Hairdryer was available in reception. There is a supermarket in 5 minutes distance. Location is fine up to 10-15 minutes walking from metro, or 20-30 minutes to Termini station.

My place was not ready and reception ordered responsible person to make the bed. Guy had put all the new bedding set on the floor. When I saw him taking pillow case from the floor, I commented that it is not okay, floor is not clean and he needs to change it. First he refused, then he found new one and changed. I still used my personal case. Maybe it was just accident, adding here just in case, better to bring personal pillow case at least. It is not allowed washing and hanging your dress in room. Wifi was so slow sometimes.

Nice resourceful staff, comfy beds and I felt safe. Location is even close to the centre by walking ~20 mins which matters because the public transport in Rome was not the best. The hostel is in a quiet street and other people staying here were considerate of other guests. I also really appreciated the AC in the common area AND in the room as I visited in the summer heat!

This should by no means put you off from booking this, it's a lovely place, but the showers could be just slightly better: overhead showers means some parts of the shower can't be cleaned easily and we were missing a mop maybe just to keep things tidy and dry. Having a bit more storage space would be useful as the lockers were narrow, so I couldn't utilise mine fully. But this is more of a feedback for the owners, nothing that is actually bad, I am happy with my stay!

The hostel is well maintained and the common areas are great. The staff is great and very friendly, especially from the host and the girl. Danielle is a great person and is always willing to help us. The hostel is very close to the Manzoni metro station. You can also easily get to Termini station. You can get to almost everywhere in the city by metro, especially the tourist attractions. There's also a supermarket near the hostel.

As a suggestion for improvement, there could be paper towels in the bathrooms for drying hands. If the beds had curtains, that would be better too. The lockers could be bigger, as they can't fit a hand luggage. There could also be “quiet hours” at night.
