San Martino Apartments is about a 15 minute walk from Tirano station – mainly along cobbled streets. Leonardo was friendly and had excellent tourist information available. We really liked staying here - our room made very good use of the space. Our room was spotlessly clean. Room 1 on 1st floor. Some reviewers don’t like that the bathroom has a window on to the staircase, but the glass is so opaque, one cannot make out any details at all in the bathroom (we checked). The WC and Shower are separate to the wash hand basin but this was fine - many hotels we stay in are like this. Very comfortable bed – tea and coffee and kettle in room, with a small fridge. There is a supermarket less than 100m from the apartments. Leonardo recommended Parravicini restaurant and wine bar. The meal was exceptionally delicious. I have a food allergy (not one of the 14 usually listed allergens) and felt very safe eating there as the waitress took care explaining what I could choose from the menu. The next day we went by a local train over the Bernina Pass – when interrailing this is included in your interrail ticket (unlike the express train) and has windows one can open to take good photos!

The property is located right in the centre, it’s super easy to get there from the station on the Bernina Express. The accomodation is lovely and exceeds expectations. The room is so clean and the bedding is fresh. There are lovely touches like good bed linen and expensive free products in the bathroom as well as good free coffee in the room. I came away thinking I’d had a very luxurious experience for a budget price.

I wish I’d stayed longer.

Very clean and well maintained property. The “suite” is a bit of a misnomer especially for us Asians, it’s really more like a Serviced Apartment setup. There’s a small kitchenette with equipment in the unit itself, hence why I mentioned the misnomer. There was 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 & 14 so we were comfortably accommodated with 2 full single beds with one Queen bed for the adults. Heating was via a heat-exchange unit (air-con for some of us) which you could manipulate to get to a comfortable temperature inside the room.

Nothing much. Except maybe they could have more hangers or hooks and shelving in the toilet area to allow clothes to hang while we get dressed especially in Winter (warm toilets after a hot shower are best places to get dressed)

Perfectly located in town, quiet, clean and great value for money. We came here off the Bernina Express at 6pm. It only took 5 minutes to walk here and staff gave clear directions as to how to find the suites. Staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming. The suites were spacious, modern and had all the needed amenities. We would absolutely come and stay again.

Very, very clean and well thought out. Very comfortable. Spotless. It seemed like we were one of the first to use it. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave good recommendations for local dinner, car parking etc.

One or two of the plug sockets didn’t hold a plug too well or we couldn’t fit the plug on to the socket.

Brilliant hotel in beautiful town of Tirano. Very friendly welcome and tour from Leonardo who also recommended a brilliant restaurant nearby. Room was really big, very clean and modern facilities. Great value for money too, wish I had time to stay longer!

Nice and helpful staff, good location in older part of the city, but still close walk to train station Modern, well-equipped room with nice bed

The bathroom arrangement felt little strange, but wasn't a problem for us (couple). Just remember to close both doors to the bathroom so the light from the corridor doesn't startle you in the middle of the night. (Small opaque glass window)

The couple were very friendly, wi fi didn't work for us but they came all the way to sort it out. Very friendly couple. The room was perfect to stay and in the best location, very clean and all facilities were top notch. Highly recommend!

Very nice, spacious modern apartment style room with excellent facilities including a cooker, fridge and kettle. Our room had a double bed and a separate single bed. Great location in Tirano. Check-in was easy and the friendly hosts met us as we arrived. Parking space was offered close to the apartment.

We booked 2 suites. One had cooking facilities and dining table. The other did not. Extremely helpful communication before we arrived and easy and friendly check in. Lovely suites. We felt very spoilt. Beautiful quiet area and very safe. Good views from the rooms if you stick your head out of the window and look beyond the buildings. Would recommend.
