what a brilliant hotel. Our suite was incredible, with a corner room overlooking 2 canals, prosecco as a welcome in our room, and a hotel that was lie stepping back in time with their incredible wallpapering and chandeliers. And to top it off, a perfect location. Close to the buzz and hustle and bustle of Rialto (8 min walk) but with an entrance via a quiet side street. superb and very helpful staff, from the check in to the cleaing staff. The cherry on the cake was the entrance onto the canal for water taxis. Truly one of the best properties we have had the pleasure to stay in!

Room was a good size. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting good. The bathroom was very well equipped with an excellent walk-in shower. We were welcomed on our arrival and helped with our luggage even though it was quite late around 22:30. The hotel arranged our transfer by taxi and private water taxi, which although quite expensive was worth it. Our return to the airport was also arranged by private water taxi from the hotel to the airport. Again worth the price. Breakfast was first class , among the best I have enjoyed at any hotel.

Surprised the settee was placed under the TV, I presume the intention was for the TV to be watched from the bed. We hardly used the TV. Not sure how it could be arranged better. Perhaps a couple of armchairs could be provided instead. We also thought the lighting over the mirror in the bathroom could be improved. A bit difficult with all the beams!! The room was rather warm but we were able to adjust the thermostat with ease. Because of the location, the curtains, blinds and shutters were kept closed. This meant that we had to use the artificial lighting at all times. We did open the windows to let fresh air in from time to time but of course the room was overlooked - this must be usual for properties throughout Venice less those on the coast.

The location was wonderful! It was so close to Saint Marks Square, delicious food, gelato, music, shopping and sightseeing. It was easy to go out walking and return back when we needed a break from the noise. The room was surprisingly quiet. The staff was incredibly helpful in making suggestions where to go, and the best places to walk to for beautiful views. The breakfast and coffee in the morning was delicious, and in the evening the bar was a nice place to go for a spritz and sit on the balcony. The room was gorgeous, and at the end of it a water taxi picked us up right from the back of the hotel to take us back to the airport.

Wonderful hotel in quiet part of the island. Our junior suite with private rooftop terrace was perfection. The room was a tasteful mix of old and new. Wooden floors, walk in shower. Plenty of space for a 5 day stay. The terrace adjoining the hotel bar is very quiet and comfortable and the bartender, Nick, was exceptional. The hotel also has a private jetty for water taxis. We’ve stayed in various hotels in Venice - 16 visits over 30 years but we will definitely stay at the ai Cavalieri again.

The hotel is elegant and spotless. Our arrival on a private taxi from the airport was the best way you could arrive at the hotel in comfort and style, it was just amazing! The beautiful entrance, the little sitting areas, every room tell the history of the building. Breakfast and the staff in the breakfast room were outstanding. Alvise at reception gave us all kinds of brilliant tips to enjoy our Venice experience. Really well located, only a stroll away from S.Marco and Rialto. Our room was a junior Suite, spacious, beautifully designed and quiet to enjoy a good rest after walking around the lovely maze that Venice is.

Good location, about 10 mins from Rialto so easy transfers from water taxi Lovely traditional Venetian styled rooms Breakfast had great options, although noticed others got offered cappuccinos but we got offered standard coffee Overall a lovely hotel, with traditional feels.

The only thing I would question, is the cost of the hotel water taxi. Airport transfer was €90 each (water taxi to Rialto was €15) and we wanted to go to Tronchetto a local tour meeting point, and again €90. But the water taxi was €10, so just seemed a bit extortionate.

The decor and style of the building was incredible, it is complete luxury. Fantastic location, could not have been better with only a few minutes walk to St. Mark's Square and about an 8 min walk to Rialto Bridge. Spoilt for choice with restaurants nearby also. Great night's sleep in very comfy beds and the mini bar in the room was cool with the counter top.

The view from our room but I guess you can't have it all, so that's ok. Breakfast choice could have been a bit better also - the breakfast options included are pretty standard - it's a buffet style breakfast - I'd suggest for the price of the hotel to have a menu on the table to able to order - Eggs Benedict, porridge with honey and fruit, Omelettes etc - Room services charges and prices for a plain sandwich way over priced, you should really look at that.

central location, traditional Venetian decoration- beautiful Murano chandeliers. We shared a room with my daughter and the sofa bed was large and comfortable for her. Breakfast was great - lots of good choice a mixture of sweet and savoury items. All staff were friendly and spoke good English.

I liked everything! Our room was dark as it had small windows but I realise this can’t be helped due do the style of the building, so it wasn’t a huge issue.

A wonderful hotel at a great location (close to everything that matters to a tourist, yet the area is not crowded). Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is tasty, with a good variety of choices. The room (deluxe double) was very spacious, with a comfortable bed. Overall, the hotel has a splendid and impressive interior decor - it's a joy just to wander through its halls, corridors and grand staircases.

There were stains on the carpet in the room, which gave an impression (perhaps unfair) that some sort of renovation maybe overdue. Not a big deal - in every other aspect the room and the bathroom were very clean.
