We had a large, corner, en-suite room overlooking the square. With the windows open you could hear the energetic street sounds from the shops and cafes below, but with the windows closed, most of the noise was blocked. We were surprised how sound-proofed it became. The room had air conditioning, so we used that at night. If you're sensitive to noise, bring a sound machine. The location was great. There are shops and cafes all along the paths, and it is just a 5-minute walk to the Ca'd'Oro Vaporetto stop and about a 6-minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The train was a quick 10-min Vaporetto trip from Ca'd'Oro. Really, this was a most convenient place. Everything is easy walking distance -- which is part of the charm of Venice! We stayed 3 nights.

The hair dryer was weird. I was glad I had brought my own international hair dryer and plug adapters. Remember that in much of Europe, face cloths are not provided. If you use one, bring your own.

The hotel is amazing and it just represents the style of Venice. The manager was very friendly, polite and kind. The workers clean the rooms every day around noon. About location - really incredible as one of the canals is just under your windows. We could take lots of pictures on the bridge that you can see in the photos here. There are lots of nice and cozy restaurants and cafes nearby, so it's so easy to find a comfortable place to eat or just refresh yourself a little bit. And the same situation with shops)) It took us only 15-20 minutes on foot to get to the main bridge of Venice. So I'm absolutely satisfied with the hotel's service and highly recommend it👌✨️

The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of everything yet so quiet. The room was decorated nicely and everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and let me store some drinks in the fridge at reception. I was able to store luggage too. I really appreciated having someone at reception available up til 7:30.

Everything was great, but a small fridge in the room would be a bonus.

- very central location, easy to reach by vaporetto (Rialto, Ca´ d´Oro) - very clean rooms (with historical charm) - had a small (as often in Venice), but very quiet room (facing the inner courtyard, which is OK for a business trip like mine, when silence is more important than the view or a romantic atmosphere) - stable and fast WiFi - very friendly & helpful staff (concierge) plus: good fruit bar downstairs in the same complex and great breakfast restaurant directly across the street ("10 mtrs.")

Staff were helpful, friendly, very kind, all of which started before I'd even arrived in the city. The location was simply brilliant. Near the Rialto Bridge (which makes it very easy to find at the end of a long day wandering that breathtaking city). If you're looking for a typical cookie cutter "North American" hotel experience, this isn't the place for you. If you want to experience one of the glorious old buildings of Venice, with a small campiello right outside your door and a canal outside your window, you're in for a treat. Clean, comfortable, great staff, full of character and charm.

I was very happy there. No complaints at all. I'll go back again.

Location was perfect , very central to most of Venice ands beautiful rustic feel in the hotel. Clean with good bathroom facilities and a easy check in and out. Staff were friendly and definitely would go back there.

Minor thing was that we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel however this we knew when booking but 5 meters from the hotel entrance has the perfect coffee shop that sorted that problem . Again a minor point that didn’t spoil the stay

FANTASTIC location - could not be better. Maximum 10 minutes from all the top locations and a great place to 'base' yourself in Venice. The staff were lovely and incredibly accommodating, answering all our queries long before we stayed. The check-in process was very smooth and the front desk staff were always lovely. The room was lovely, really matched the vibe of Venice and the view was amazing. It was a little bit loud overnight but NO different to anything else I've experienced on a city break - it's a city, if you choose to stay in the central area it's going to be loud at at night. It's to be expected! Our room was cleaned daily with lovely cleaning staff. They do open all the doors to the rooms on the floor they are cleaning, we kept any valuables in the safe as we always do anyway. Canal view room was stunning, well worth the price. A/C worked well. A fantastic trip overall. 10/10 for Al Vagon, thank you!

The beds aren't the comfiest I have ever stayed in, but for a city break I'm really not bothered.

When we arrived, the clerk informed us that the air conditioning was not working and told us we could either take the room and get a discount, or he would get us a room at another hotel with air conditioning at the same price. We chose to get the room at another hotel and he helped carry one of our suitcases over to the other hotel in Venice. Great customer service, but I can't evaluate the rest of the hotel because of that.

The location was excellent. We were no more than a 15-minute walk to just about every attraction and restaurant. The area is very touristy, but we didn't mind. We did not find the noise to be an issue.

We arrived late because our flight was delayed. We were able to get into the hotel without a problem, but we couldn't figure out how to make the A/C work without instructions. The next morning, they showed us how to use it. Ironically, the icon that looks like a snowflake is not the correct setting to turn the A/C on.
