The hotel is well situated for exploring the historic sites of interest, walkable from the centre, and near several restaurants and bars. The cold buffet breakfast gave plenty of choice, and was freshly prepared, with decent coffee. The staff were friendly.

Being an older property, there were wooden window shutters outside which didn’t open, so the room was quite dark. The second night we stayed was the night of the huge storm which uprooted mature trees and wreaked huge destruction on some of the city streets. There was internal damage to the hotel, and despite working throughout the night to try to arrange repairs for the following day, we were still served breakfast with a smile, while staff mopped and swept the worst away.

The room was big enough, with a little table and two chairs. The cuboard for clothes was big too and they provided extra blankets in case you were cold. The room tmeperature could be controlled from the room although I didn´t need a heater. The common bathroom were mostly clean (that depends on the other guests). They were two and as some other rooms were empty I didn´t find problems to have a free bathroom for myself. The area is good, in between the train station and city center. Quiet neighbourhood very close to the Arena, Bra square. There was a little area to prepare complimentary tea and coffee.

The location is superb: a quiet street, but only 2 blocks from the hubbub of Piazza Bra and the Arena. The room was large and fairly well equipped. Both the room and bathrooms were clean. The set up for charging electronic gear, an essential part of current-day travel, was above average: at least 5 available electrical outlets. The NFC key system worked great. Soundproofing between rooms was adequate.

Initially it was a challenge to find. Signage is hard to see, and the street door intercom needs better instruction. I was one hour early, and although the owner bent the check-in time & the room was already made up, she was clearly not happy to see me. (Later on she warmed up.) The king-size bed was not very comfortable. Access from the street was a little odd—while there is a lift, on the ground floor, you must walk up half a flight of stairs and then back down again to reach it. This would be a challenge to some physically challenged travelers.

Location, you can easily reach to Arena and other tourists attractions on foot. Large and comfortable room with private bath. The bath is clean and you can find anything you need in it. They welcome you with special candies on the bed. You can have water and coffee from shared kitchen. The staff is very friendly, she help you about every stage of your stay.

The room door is not thick enough so you can hear what other guests are talking in the corridor, but it’s not annoying.

A simple guesthouse in a fairly quiet neighbourhood where the instructions from the owner came via WhatsApp and were readily understandable. Checked myself into the accommodation and found a small, cosy room with a very comfortable bed and everything needed, including fast, reliable WiFi. There were a couple of bathrooms/toilets for the five guest rooms so no waiting to clean up and there was even a small charger in the room for recharging devices with USB ports. I hadn't expected that at all in budget accommodation and that was a nice touch. Best of all was the free kitchen area, open all hours. Kettle, microwave, coffee maker all available, along with a selection of teas and coffees - and as said, free of charge. Throw in a location less than five minutes walk from the Arena di Verona and around 20 minutes walk from Porto Nuovo railway station, and it provided excellent value for money. Budget-conscious travellers can reserve here, IMO, with confidence.

Couple of minor issues, the shower wasn't hot and whilst the area was quiet, soundproofing between rooms themselves was not great, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The Cittadella B&B is definitely a place to stay. I would start for the location: THE BEST! Close to the Porta Nuova Station and also to the Arena and many other touristic places, I was able to move around without the need of any transportation. Around you'll find nice coffee shops and restaurants, a nice park and a supermarket. The bathroom and the kitchen is always clean, and the room is comfy; they also provide you with information and recommendations of places to go around (eat, visit, etc.). And last but not least, Damiano is responsive, helpful and accommodating to what you need if possible 😊🙌

The room was large, light, and comfortable, with a large private bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was good value for money. The location was also great! Very close to the arena, to Piazza Pradoval, and supermarkets.

The building elevator is small and can only take one passenger with luggage - but this is only a little problem and easily solved with patience.

Great location from the main centre, use of coffee machine which was very nice. Clean throughout and towel provided was handy. The lady was very friendly.

Kitchen facilities like a fridge would have been really helpful. For me personally the pillow was too thick and firm so no I struggled to get comfortable on it but that's just personal preference.

Clean, comfortable but mainly a great location for the old town and main sites of Verona, and easy to walk to the train station. It was also good value for money.

All good really - we knew we had shared bathrooms but there were two on our floor of five rooms, so we very rarely had to wait for one to be vacant, and all guests seem to respect the facilities.

Excellent location in the heart of Old town, a few minutes from the Arena, with all monuments within walking distance, with a covered public parking nearby. A beautiful, elegant house with elevator, well organised, clean appartments on two floors. The one on the third floor has 5 rooms and two bathrooms - with shower or bathtub, cleaned as well as the kitchen on a daily basis. But, most of all, the small things to please us, guests: in the well equipped kitchen the supply of coffee and tea is always abundant, there is also a water-disposal; besides free wifi there is a computer with printer at your disposal, candy jars also continuously refilled and and and ... so many signs of caring.

Maybe there is a possibility to fix the doorknobs so they work quietly, it`s awkward to come from the arena after midnight and disturb the neighbors... Outer AC-unit at the limit of noisy yet still ignorable.
