Stay Nov 5 - 9 2023. Room is clean and comfortable with daily housekeeping. Typical room size - small. Hotel is just next to Fujinomiya train station and central bus stop (Buses from here go to Shiraito Waterfalls, Lake Tanuki etc and also Lake Kawaguchiko). Tourist info centre is at ground level of train station. Lots of eateries within 20 mins of walking from hotel ( The Blue's Noodles - chicken broth ramen, Marugame Siemens - udon tempura, and others selling yakisoba etc). There is also a big AEON mall on other side of train station. Free breakfast is included althot same variety throughout our stay. No free water bottles and coin laundry machines are of the old type - separate washer and dryer that need detergent

The bathroom is a bit cramped.

The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful addition to my stay, providing a satisfying start to each day. Additionally, the view of Mt. Fuji from my room was truly mesmerizing, offering a stunning backdrop to my experience. The staff's helpfulness was also notable, as they were accommodating and attentive throughout.

I found the room size to be smaller than I had anticipated, which affected the overall comfort of my stay. Moreover, the internet speed was disappointingly slow, making it challenging to carry out tasks that required a stable connection.

Very friendly and welcoming hotel. The room was small as Japanese hotel rooms can be, but had everything you could possibly need. It was clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable and the double sided pillow (one side 'bead-like' feel, the other side your 'softer' feel) was novel but I can see why it'd be useful for a hotel to have! Despite being so close to Fujinomiya train station, we didn't hear a single noise. Breakfast was good, particularly the bread section which was all very nice for packaged bread, which I was unsure if it was sourced locally. The lady running the kitchen on her own was also very sweet and continued to keep stock of things in the buffet and replace items like rice regularly. Staff were friendly and did their best to help. After checking out we wanted to go to the nearby AEON mall, so the staff offered to keep our luggage for us until we were ready to depart the town. The town itself is quiet, quaint and unassuming. This was fine for us as the intention was to see Mt Fuji rather than do anything in particular. The major nearby attractions (shrine and Mt Fuji world heritage site) were signposted throughout the town. There was also a regular bus to Fuji Q Highland. As the hotel does not provide any meals other than breakfast, there is a big main road nearby with lots of restaurants for drivers, and travellers, to eat at.

Hotel does not provide any meals other than breakfast, despite having a big dining hall. I wonder if this space could be used better or if not, provided to guests to use. However, with the AEON mall nearby as well as convenience stores and restaurants, this was not a major issue and more of a nicety.

I've stayed here before to see Mt Fuji during Autumn. It was great during Spring time as well, and I visited several spots with beautiful Sakura trees during this trip. The hotel is a bit old, and they still use physical keys. But the rooms are well kept. The location is very good as it is a stone throw away from the train station, and even nearer to the bus station. The buses are convenient to access the tourist spots in the area. The back alleys have several interesting restaurants and we enjoyed our meals.

The breakfast was frightening on the first day - there was a big tour group that took up most of the tables. There was insufficient tables, and the kitchen staff could not keep up with making sure the food was replenished.

Wonderful hotel just beside Fujinomiya Station. Our rooms looked out on Mt. Fuji, which was great, as was the varied and delicious breakfast. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Ideal for a one or two night stay in Fujinomiya - I would recommend both the Shiraito Waterfall and the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center. (The latter was closed during our stay because of the year-end Japanese holiday, but the building itself was astounding!)

The hotel’s location is good especially Aeon is reachable within minutes walk. We wanted to praise the cleaning team as they are very thoughtful, we’re pleased that they packed a bag of bathroom toiletries and towels and hanged at our door without our request (everyday during our stays from 5/5/23-9/5/23, must give a thumbs up).

The only drawback is that the rooms are a bit small and bathroom is not quite suitable for elderly as it needs to step up and down when they needs to go to the bathroom.

An excellent places hotel close to the train and bus station as well as the mall and local food places. Buses can take you to Shairito falls and further if you wish. Excellent view of the volcano if you are willing to walk a bit. Breakfast was good and caters to all and there is a vending machine in every floor if you get thirsty.

We didn’t get a room facing the volcano but that not something to get upset about. Overall the hotel was excellent.

I had a very exhausting journey, I was greeted very kindly at the reception, that made everything go away. The room was very clean, i am impressed and i fell in love with the place, i would like to come back. I was treated kindly by all the employees, whether it was the cleaning team or the kitchen staff they where so nice.

3pm check in is a bit late but you can leave your luggage there and explore the area.

We stayed two nights at Fujinomiya Fujikyu, in two differents rooms. Everything is very clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the staff, specially the receptionist, is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is japanese style, and we liked that most of the food are already in small portions in bowls wrapped in plastic, and the breads are individually packed. It was good! The location of the hotel is super convenient, next to the station, close to konbinis and restaurants. There's also an Aeon Mall 5min on foot.

The bathroom is not for tall people. My boyfriend, 187cm, had to bend to wash his hair lol...

Very close to the rail station. Incredible view of Mt. Fuji from window. Very good breakfast. Great value.

You have to leave your key at the counter whenever you leave the hotel. I left the hotel for a quick morning walk an hour before check out time and when I got back, the cleaning guy already came into my room and took out all the bedsheets and blankets.
