The place is just so amazing! The location, the room, the staff, the hot spring, the service, the dinner and breakfast all made our time so special in Hakone, highly recommended!

Comfortable and spacious room. We had a corner room on level 6 with a bathtub on the balcony overlooking the river. Very peaceful and quiet at night. The room was well equipped with amenities - a small kettle, cloth hangers, clothes refresher spray, slippers, etc. Clean and functional shower with separate toilet. The room also had an extra sink and vanity area which provided a lot of convenience. Nice Japanese-style breakfast served in the dinning room. Public onsen located on level 6, with 2 private ones (first in first served basis). The outdoor public onsen was lovely on a cold night. There was also free ramen at 10.30pm, with tea/coffee available at reception. Walkable distance to the Hakone-Yumoto station, however can be a tricky walk in bad weather, especially if you have luggage. Great for a 2 night stay in Hakone.

The bathtub looked a little tired and the balcony area could use some touch ups. Very high price during peak season.

Our room was very well equipped with four comfortable twin beds, nice bathroom and an open-air bath. The included dinner and breakfast were exquisite and the food was nicely presented. My family especially enjoyed the private onsen that we were able to use both in the evening and in the morning before check-out. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

The separate room where the toilet is located could have some soap for handwashing.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well situated and lovely. The staff are very attentive. The hotel was very responsive with questions that I sent to them in advance of our arrival. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the river.

The food is very traditional Japanese and doesn't really cater for vegetarians. What is provided is exquisite but will not necessarily suit all tastes.

Nice Japanese style breakfast although we were not able to fully appreciate some of the items. Reservation staff were really helpful and prompt in answering my queries Outdoor tub in room was really nice

lovely hotel a mix of traditional Japanese style rooms with some western touches. The onset is amazing and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Balcony outside the room had an open air onsen water bath which was lush.

My partner and I are both vegan, for the dinner service we were served an amazing vegetable hotpot which we could not fault. Unfortunately we could not eat the breakfast as even the few items that were vegan were touching meat or fish. if we were not vegan there wouldn’t be any issues.

Friendly staff, loads of complimentary services we didn't realise we'd get including free ramen as a late-night snack and a complimentary drinks station open all night including beer and cocktails. Open air bath in room was delightful.

Not the hotel's fault but we are picky eaters with a western diet and the breakfast wasn't really to our taste

We weren’t keen on the traditional breakfast but think that was mostly due to our own unfamiliarity with the very traditional foods on offer - but it was good value for the price.

Wonderful stay, beautiful facilities. We loved our the bath on our open air patio. The hotel room was amazing, and we were so happy with all of the amenities. We also liked the public bath on the top floor and the soda and wine that was available for patrons. This stay was a part of our honeymoon trip to Japan from the states, and they kindly left us a welcome gift for congratulations.
