It‘s a really nice and cozy atmosphere downstairs, you can always meet new people. Upstairs are the dorms and a private room. The bed in the dorm is ok. Nothing too comfortable, nothing too uncomfortable. In your sleeping room you also have a big safe , that you can lock. Also the staff is super nice and kind. Every staff member that I met spoke english and they always tried to help you when you have questions.

At night it can get very hot in the sleeping pod. When I woke up, I was always sweaty. The curtains on the bed really bothered me. They don’t close completely, so if you don’t want someone peeking in, you have to have something to hold it together in the middle.

Lovely location not far from the main station, easily within walking distance. Close to convenience stores. Even within walking distance to Peace Memorial Park if you're up for a local hike. Towels are available for a low price, as is laundry access. There is also a section of a wall lined with books to read to your heart's content. Majority of them are in Japanese, though the English ones were still enjoyable. The hostel itself is secure, providing locks on the dorms as well as giving the option to come and go at any time, day or night. There are "safes" in each bunk, large enough to store any valuables; laptops, cameras, etc. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Always greeted me and was great conversation during my visit. The food and drinks on the menu were also top tier.

I was unaware there was a female only section. I likely missed it by my own fault, but I would have preferred staying in that area instead of the mixed room. Regardless, I still felt safe. Not many food options in the hostel, though the food that was provided was delicious.

It's a warm and social environment if you seek it, especially on the first floor in the sake bar, which is almost seamless with the hostel upstairs. I'm not much of a drinker, but it was really nice being able to sample multiple sakes all at one time. Free washing machine for laundry. Only pay 300 yen if you want to use the dryer. They allow some access to the kitchen down in the sake bar when they're not open and serving the public. There is a fridge and microwave upstairs. Anything you need, they will help, when possible. Dad was too hard for my back and hips, so they gave me a second futon topper. Super easy access to both the streetcar and to the train station.

I wish there was a separate lounge room somewhere that is quiet, to get things done, with chairs. And a shelf next to our heads and shoulders in the bunk space.

The staff were SO FRIENDLY they also spoke very good English so it’s no issue if you don’t speak Japanese. They have a little bar on the first floor but I didn’t hear it at all then upstairs in the room.

The beds were a little old but not terrible, as long as your not expecting a plush bed you’ll be fine. Most things you’ll want to go to you’ll have to take the train, but the trains is super close and takes you right to the good places.

There is a bar downstairs which had a good atmosphere, and wasn’t loud late which is more important. Allowed to store bags when checking out for free! Staff were amazing and friendly. The location is also pretty good as it’s close to the subway station.

Oh my goodness it was hot at night. I’m prone to overheating so take it with a pinch of salt. Woke up sweating a few times and struggled to sleep. Also, the beds are like capsules, which isn’t bad, but it was kind of a challenge to actually climb up to the second bunk without slipping!

Gus was very welcoming and was always up for a chat and advice on the area. The hostel was a very brief walk to the nearest station making it very convenient to go to Hiroshima or Miyajima for the day. The people were also very nice and willing to talk to you and it was very easy to make new friends!

The hostel is situated near a train station in a cozy neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and shops. It is near most of the attractions in Hiroshima and has easy access to the rest. The staff are really nice and helpful.

The space is a little bit cramped with not a lot of space to put your luggage. There could be more toilets and shower rooms to accommodate everyone.

The staff were amazing, the host even threw a barbecue by the river for patrons with fireworks and everything, and the employees were always very chatty and fun to be around.

The one bad thing is that the showers are push button; you press a button and water comes out for about 5 seconds, then you must press it again. Pretty unpleasant.

I only intended to stay over night, go to bed early, getting the train from Hiroshima to Tokyo the following morning. But right from the beginning, I was surprised by a warm welcome of the staff, a nice chill out lounge and people that was very easy to talk to. In the end I went out for dinner with a stranger that I can call friend now, met more people later on in the Hostel and shared fun stories. It felt more like a small family of strangers that just fit the right way. Whenever I come back to Hiroshima, I'm definitely stay there again. Did I mention it's a very good spot in the city? Plenty of restaurants around, one of the bigger train stations just some minutes walk away, but if you don't like to go out, just get some good from, just inside the Hostel. It is a combination of bar, lounge, where even people go to when they are no guests, or have been guests and only want to say "hi" and hang out. Truly a gem and was very surprised. Loved it. Thank you so much!

I didn't like it that I had to leave again. Haha.

I especially liked the warm welcome and that I made friends for life. It was fun to hang out in the common room, playing video games with strangers, and all in all it's a great location to get there to anywhere you like within Tokyo.

Snoring, cannot be avoided sometimes. Sensitive sleeper, but I can deal with it like a pro! The time was too short for staying there. Could have been longer!
