Excellent choice. The location is great; it can be reached by foot in around 10-15mins walking from the ferry port or you can call them before boarding the ferry and they can pick you (also they can take you to the port after check out). The room was charming and very quiet, with a nice view to the mountain. If you're visiting Hiroshima, staying in Miyajima is the best option. You can walk around the town and enjoy the different feelings when the streets are empty at noon. The manager Taka is absolutely kind and an awesome host. When we return to Miyajima we will stay there again.

The dinner was amazing, the staff extremely nice. Our room had a beautiful view on the mountains. The onsen was super nice, with an inside and an outside bath. We had booked a big room and were not disappointed! It is in the main area but super quiet. Would highly recommend.

We had booked a small sized room for 2 but received a free upgrade from Mr Taka to a wonderful room with Japanese dining area for our 3 night stay. All staff extremely friendly. Recommend !

Everything exceeded the expectations.

The location is fantastic, very close to the Itsukushima Shrine and the Tori gate. All the other main activities and points of interest can also be reached in a matter of minutes. Service was great, as the staff is very kind, welcoming and the free shuttle service from the ferry port to the hotel was very much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and the wifi is good. Also the onsen is a nice addition.

The food presentation was fantastic, the taste however was good but not great.

The hotel was well placed close to everything from famous sights and local cafes/ restaurants. The ambience was so relaxing and peaceful. The staff were absolutely amazing. Attentive and ever so helpful. Would recommend to have your room facing the garden to be able to listen to the trickling water from the pond below. My teenage kids enjoyed it as much as my husband and I. The dinners and breakfasts were not only well presented, it was as delicious as it looked.

Absolutely nothing.

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a larger room with a fabulous view. We didn't eat at the hotel.

The room was amazing, with a little tatami tea area inside, plus a fridge, kettle and tea (and some momaji manju cakes!). The onsen was lovely, and I took full advantage of the massage chair in the dressing room. The cold tea and water available almost all day was refreshing, and though it was too hot to enjoy the gardens directly, it was very nice to sit in the lobby looking out at them. Oh, and the shuttle service from and to the ferry was key (we had done some shopping at the Kyoto flea market…)

The coffee service was only available at night.

Stayed in a smaller room with a double bed but the room was nicely laid out. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, and had a private bathroom. There was even a little welcome snack in the room, too. Great location, only a short walk from the main street/attractions. Made catching sunrise at the tori very easy in the morning. The public bath/spa was clean and big with three different baths to use. All amenities needed were provided. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived before checkin time, and the staff kept my luggage for me. When I arrived for checkin later on, they had already placed my luggage in the room.

I need to rave abut this hotel. Firstly, i had arrived onto miyajima island really late due to some confusion in kyoto. I had informed the staff that I was delayed and was likely to only arrive after 9pm. They told me to call the hotel so that they can send the shuttle over but once i arrived, i saw that the shuttle was already waiting for me! And I was delayed from the time I told them I would arrive so they must have waited longer than expected. Once I got to the hotel, as they knew to expected me, check in was super quick. Hotel was beautiful and the single rooms were really cute (though small in the way japanese rooms usually are). Location of the hotel also cannot be beat it is right in the middle of all the attractions, and the staff were knowledgeable about the opening hours of attractions. Just when i thought it could not get better, when i told the hotel I was trying to catch a particular ferry timing back to hiroshima, they rushed me to the terminal and i managed to make the ferry! The team went above and beyond to make this solo traveller comfortable and safe. Thank you so much! :)

Staff were beyond helpful, from giving you a lift from the ferry terminal and back to helping move your bags. Good conversation and friendly. Everything was just exceptionally nice, the layout in the rooms was definitely one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, in any country and theres so many extras laid on and free amentatys you can take like razors, combs and toothbrushes if you forget anything. Just easily one of the best hotel stays I've had, caught me completely off guard.

Microwave wasn't available to use when I needed to use it. Bits of tape on the TV remote to cover buttons is an odd choice. Honestly it was great, this is just nitpicking.
