Traditional Japanese style rooms. Clean but just a little dated but nothing major. The bath was also dated - rustic I would say but clean. There is a shuttle from the ferry which we were not aware of when we arrived - but they dropped us off at the ferry when we left. Close to the main tourist area The staff were lovely and amazingly helpful

Nothing Would be nice to have some coffee in the room ( nothing to do with the hotel - but everything in town shuts down around 5-6 So bring food or eat early).

The hotel lays on a perfect distance from the ferry, but in the nicer quieter area. We had a spacious room with a view on the sea and pier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast very much. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The public bath (onsen) is also available. Everything is there. They make your bed during your dinner.

Actually nothing. Maybe some persons might find the Japanese bedding a bit thin and hard. We did not mind though.

A true traditional Japanese experience, with amazing hospitality from the whole staff. The traditional Japanese room was clean and comfortable, and sleeping in the futon was quite a cool experience. The public bath was small, nice and warm. The kindness and willingness to help from the staff really made our stay very pleasant.

I would like to have been informed beforehand the traditional dinner should be reserved really in advance, as we couldn't book it when we arrived.

Spacious ryokan, friendly and helpful hotel staff, a shop at the lobby for last minute shopping, near shops and sightseeing places. They provided yukatas, water bottles, coffee, tea bags and delicious biscuits. They also setup your futon beds while we were out during dinner time.

1. The powder room was outdated. 2. Had to request for a microwave although they were happy to setup in the lobby for you to heat up the food. 3. Should offer automatically if we require free pick up/send service from/to ferry area. It was quite a slope to walk up to the hotel. 4. Should provide information on how to book the private bath upon checking in. Only found out when i walked around the hotel but fully booked. Pls note there is no convenience store on the island and shops/restaurants close earlier. This has nothing to do with the hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. The location was also good. The staff members were friendly. We absolutely loved their cream, shampoo, and conditioner. The private onsen( hot springs) was lovely, but be sure to reserve it early.

One party in our group is vegetarian. They didn't have too much options for vegetarians. So paying that much for breakfast for that person was a waste of money. The rest of us enjoyed the breakfast.

We were given biscuits the first day but they weren't replaced the next. We were only given a towel each instead of two which made drying hair a little difficult and we weren't sure where we could get others from. There could also be a lamp in the main room as the main room light is quite bright.

Its an older hotel and quite expensive for what is offer there. Hotel should be half its price .... in the same time there was no other availability . Hotels there are too expensive. I would suggest to stay on the other side as it is easy to get to and from the island. On top all restaurants are closing quite early so you can stay without food

A good Japanese style hotel, what made it special was the personnel, specially miss Satoko, she was very very nice, she’s really polite and speaks English really well, she even helped us with a little accident we had. The view from the room was amazing, that made us enjoy our stay much more.

A bit of an old hotel, nothing bad

The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly and the location was great. Miyajima was a wonderful place to visit. We had a Japanese room on the top floor 6 and could even see the Otorii and pagoda when standing. For size it was probably one of the largest bedrooms of our Japan trip.

The decor is pretty dated.
