We stayed in the double room with volcano view. Location is amazing; it is just directly opposite the drop off and pick up for the Kagoshima Airport Bus. Facilities are very new looking and comfortable. Smart huge TV in the room; ReFa hair curler/ hair iron/ hair dryer available; even a gadget in the wardrobe to press the wrinkles off your trousers. Very amazing stuff. The room is pretty spacious after you shove the armchairs aside to make space.

The only small peeve is that the staff seem very intimidated by English-speaking guests. We managed to get by because we know some Japanese.

Location is the absolute best. It is directly opposite the Airport Bus Stop at Tenmonkan, above a new mall (and library). Very nice food and souvenir market place nearby too. Facilities are GREAT. I couldn't believe my eyes when there is ReFa hair straightener, hair curler and hair dryer in the hotel room for guest use. The washing machines are very advanced and come with a passcode so no one steals your laundry (English instructions provided on how to operate it too). The washing machines are very convenient they both wash and dry and provide an estimated time for you to return by to collect your laundry.

Staff seemed very intimidated by foreign visitors who do not speak Japanese. We were able to get by as we can speak some simple Japanese. I find that most locals can't speak English too.

Daiwa Roynet is right in the middle of the shopping district, which makes it convenient to restaurants and shopping. However, it does not have on-site parking, so there is no way to unload your luggage at the hotel. Instead, you drive around the block to their designated parking provider and lug all your luggage for a block in heavy crowds (especially during rush hour) The hotel is new, so facilities are noce, but breakfast is served in a cramped bar located on the top floor. Breakfast options are mediocre in comparison with other Japanese hotels in the same range. Adequate, but I would expect better for the price.

Location is great next to a host of eateries and shopping buildings. Friendly and very competent staff. Room is good, not “large” by any means but not Tokyo small. Massage chair in the room was a nice bonus.

Breakfast was nice food wise but always felt a bit cramped as the room isn’t that big — despite there being a huge empty room on the same floor just next to the breakfast room, felt like a missed opportunity.

Great location for food choices and scenic walks around town. Kagoshima has a long history which can be enjoyed by walking around and learning about the statues. Hotel room was decent size w a nice view. Bathroom and tub were a comfortable size.

Breakfast options were meager. Breakfast is served on the 15th floor with a nice view but you must sit around a large teppan yaki table. It is a bit odd. The breakfast staff were all excellent.

We had a beautiful room with a high view of Biwa Lake. The desk receptionist was very thoughtful. We had made a booking mistake, and although we had to pay more money she was kind, and even apologized that we had to take a smoking room. The breakfast (Japanese) was wonderful with an excellent view. The bus shuttle to/from the Kyoto train station was most needed and helpful.

It was expensive, but lovely.

The hotel was in an excellent location in Tenmonkan right posit the tram and bus stop. It was very new so everything was modern and up to date and very clean. It was a good size - not huge but not too small. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Complimentary bottles water every day was a plus. I will stay there again.

The bed was a little too firm but not horrible. The pillows were not the best either. The walls are not at all sound proof and we could hear a banging above us all night long.

The staff and especially the manager were very friendly and cooperative. As we found that the room is small and not as we saw it when we booked 8 months ago, the manager offered us a much more comfortable and larger room with small extra charges. The breakfast was 90% Japanese style, but they offered fried eggs and many other options.

We liked most the comfortable room in terms of facilities and good beds. Not to forget the super extra massage seat with many programs.

Wow! Location!! It’s above the big shopping center and just next to the arcade which has a lot of restaurants and shops. Just in front of the airport bus. I was so impressed by the best quality hair dryer and shower head! So clean,comfortable beds, great view. Everything was great. I definitely come back.

Easy to access from Station on tram. Check-in reasonably easy, have to take lift to 7th floor. Good sized room spotlessly clean. Don't pay extra for Sakurajima view, only side view standing at window, observation deck on 15th floor for pics. Very limited western style breakfast (especially for vegetarian). Can recommend this hotel, would stay again.
