The hotel was fantastic in so many ways. The price was affordable for the range of services provided including a comprehensive breakfast and various smaller amenities including pajamas, toiletries, soaking salts, etc. Service was great and my room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet despite being next to a busy commercial arcade. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay again in the future.

The coffee needs improvement- not the best, a little bitter, and not provided for very long beyond the breakfast time. but this is a minor complaint. I know this is not typical in Japan but it would be wonderful if the hotel had a small gym with weights and cardio equipment; as a business hotel this addition would really help guests stay in shape!

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I found that the free welcome coffee was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was nice, including hot and cold food, and I enjoyed sampling some local specialities like Karashi Renkon. The location is very convenient (in a large shopping mall, across the street from a convenience store, and close to a major bus and tram station; only a few minutes on foot to Kumamoto castle).

The bathroom wasn't very clean, and once my toothbrush and towels got taken away without replacing them. Since the building is squeezed between two other tall ones, some rooms don't have "real" windows, and it felt a little claustrophobic.

Location: Centrally in Kumamoto's downtown area of Nishi Ginza Street, about 2.6 km away or approximately half an hour of walking distance from Kumamoto Station - Complimentary breakfast buffet: A good selection of Japanese and Western-style dishes. Cleanliness and service: The room was clean and I was assigned a room on the highest floor upon request.

Consider extending the Happy Hour for a free drink for hotel guests until late night so that those arrived after 7.00 pm could enjoy a free drink too. :)

Great location, very central spot with nearby access to the tram, shopping, restaurants within easy walking distance. Room was very small but enough space for our luggage, to shower and to sleep so no major complaints. Air con worked nicely. Breakfast selection was fairly basic but nonetheless enjoyable. Laundry room was convenient as we needed to wash and dry our clothes.

Good location near shopping street and castle. Well-equipped and well-run hotel; room was comfortable and spacious enough for 2. Hotel staff was flexible to accommodate our requests and also provided helpful instructions about carpark when we contacted them with queries (via Booking.com) before our stay. Good spread for breakfast; breakfast staff was polite and attentive.

Breakfast is unexpectedly good with a wide varieties of food selection Room size is decent in Japanese standard for the price I paid. Location is perfect with the busiest shopping street within 1 min walk, in which there are lots of shops and restaurants Bathroom and toilet is big and spacious.

Location is perfect. Close to the castle, easy acess to restaurants and tram. Very good price.

We didn't like breakfast much but there is a lot of choice. Second was the bed. You can feel the movement of other person and pillow a was so hard that I woke up in the middle of night with stiff neck and slept without it afterwards.

Location is the shining star of this hotel, very near to the stretch of touristy shopping district. The staff are also the gem; their smiles, sensitivity towards customers and demureness are the traits to step up the hotel value.

Laundry and dryer machines need to be upgraded in clealiness.

I love the breakfast here especially the karashi renkon (mustard lotus root) - chef you're a genius! Good location close to some great shopping and awesome restaurants though far from Kumamoto Station.

Room was small and limited space and furniture for clothes. Bed side was against wall so one person had to climb over another or enter bed from bottom.
