it was relatively near kyoto station (15min walk) and very easy to locate using taxis. nearest train station was about 10min walk i belive. but since its kyoto youll be relying more on buses any. and this place was near a bus station (2mins way). staff were very wonderful and accomodating too. helped us checkin our bags early, directions to attractions, even with direction to a clinic/hospital should we need one. plus they are very accomodating to queries even before you arrive via the chat page. such a comfort to know someone is expecting you when you arrive.

beds were kinda stiff to our liking, even pillows but since our stay 9 japan trip consisted of 5 hotels and id say this is kinda normal. 3 out of 5 of them were similar so i guess thats japan for you. only our osaka stay really stood out. and it was like sleeping on a cloud. we still got a good nights rest without any problems

The staff was not every time at the reception as they had to take care of the cleaning. However, a very practical and easy way to check in and out was offered and the suitcases could also be stowed in the lobby for free (and with a lock!). The room was a bit small for three people, each with a large suitcase, but otherwise met our expectations in terms of cleanliness, facilities and comfort. The staff was also very accommodating, friendly and helpful. In general, I would describe the BON Kyoto Kiyumizu as more familiar than a big hotel or chain, which was very pleasant!

Súper well located, 15-20 min walk from Kyoto St. and also just outside the building is the Bus Stop, that takes you everywhere because it is on the main road of Kyoto. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good size. Staff was also very friendly, also they had option to store your luggage after check in, is you’re leaving later. Price is super good for the location and room.

They don’t clean the room. Our stay was for a week and didn’t change the lining nor clean the bathroom. I requested the staff to change the towels and the agreed, which was great. But would be good if they at least change lining and clean room each 3 days.. They don’t offer breakfast, would be convenient. Also staff barely speaks English, I asked them recommendations for breakfast and dinner, and they didn’t know, so maybe would be good if hotel have printed some near restaurants recommendations.

the location is great as it is extremely close to kamo river. it is about 5 bus stops away from kyoto main station and within walking distance to kyoto kawaramachi station. the amenities were great and umbrellas were provided at the lobby whenever it is raining. the room is small but cozy and there is a microwave outside our room to heat up our food.

our room is a little small for 4 luggages but it is nevertheless cozy. the smoking area is also just outside the lobby so the cigarette smell tends to float in.

No cleaning services on our 11 nights of stay however, it was a comfortable stay. They provided us towels everyday and toiletries when requested. The room was large enough for us 5 adults, and love the bathroom setup. Location is a plus too as it is within walking distance to the station, market, eating places and so on. Overall, I would recommend this accommodation. Thank you Bon Kyoto Kiyomizu.

No cleaning services ( but that is clearly stated upon booking). There is a kettle in the room and mugs but tea, coffee and sugar are not provided. Not a deal breaker!

Location, location, location! There’s like a drug/convenient store beside it. A short walk to seven eleven where you can buy packed foods in case you want to save a little money. A number of good restaurants like Sugar Hill and Engine Ramen to name a few are just a stone throw away. 10-15 mins walk to Nishiki market for shopping. 20 mins walk to Kyōto station where we took the bullet train on our way to Tokyo. Bus stops are everywhere where you can catch a ride going to your different itineraries. The hotel itself is very modern. I love the toilet separated from the bathroom. The Toilet seat is heated you guys and coupled with the bidet, it’s just amazing. The space is a little cramped mainly because there were five of us. Had it been only 4 people, the room space would have been perfect. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby and went out exploring before check-in time. Some of the staff were extremely helpful. There’s this particular staff (forgot her name though, my bad), she helped us fill out the Ta-Q-Bin form so we can ship our heavy luggage to our hotel in Tokyo through nearby seven eleven store. She knows who she is, so Kudos to her.

Very minor! However essential to me personally. The microwave is placed outside the room and near the elevator to be shared by guests. I guess it saves space inside the room. Would still prefer to have one microwave per room though. Another thing is the low hanging ceiling light fixtures atop the sofa bed. Either it’s raised higher or moved to avoid hitting heads. Thank God it’s rattan and doesn’t really cause concussion 🥹

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were quite small but that was to be expected - it was still very cosy. The location is about a 10 minute walk to busy shopping streets and other busy areas around Kyoto. Also about a 10 minute walk the other way to the famous Ninenzaka Street. I absolutely loved the warm toilet seat in the room. There’s only 1 washing machine and dryer but it didn’t seem too busy and was always free when I needed to use it. Also a lot of taxis drive passed the hotel if you need one. Great value for money if you’re looking to stay somewhere on a smaller budget.

Friendly staff available at most times but you might need to call them on the supplied iphone for assistance (they are behind the scenes). Good location and very walkable to downtown restaurants and shopping. New and clean. A/C works great. Elevator fast. Near two 7-11 in each direction. Within 5 to 10 minutes walking to three different subway lines. Good toiletries, no daily service, but easy to exchange supplies.

Fridge was not super cold. Beds were little hard but not a problem. 5 people in 1 room is little tight but doable. Never did find the advertised breakfast items after 4 days. Need larger trash cans in rooms.

it was a fairly short walk to central, air conditioning worked great, they provided toiletries as well. at first I thought the Wi-Fi was a bit slow but having now been to other hotels, turns out it wasn’t half bad comparatively. convenience store was only a few minutes walk, as was the bus stop.

there was a lot of noise, either from other rooms or from cleaning staff in the morning in the hallway, so good luck if you want to sleep in on a Sunday. beds were quite hard.

1. Room is as pictured, spacious enough to open up 2 medium and 1 cabin sized luggage 3. Toilet and shower area is separated to different sides, can be used by different people at the same time. (Toilet seat is heated too) 4. Can fit 5 pax comfortably with 1 sleeping on the sofa bed (pillows, comforter all provided) 5. Location is slightly further away abt 15-20mins walk if u need to take to go to JR train station to use the JR pass. Not an issue to walk in nice weather.
