In suite bathroom & toilet. Very friendly Japanese & foreign staff, who go out of the way to be helpful. For example, they loaned two extension strips for our multiple devices. The hotel is very well located with respect to Kyoto Station, subways, & key bus station. Also, many attractions, such as Gion, National Museum, several temples, restaurants, are within walking distance. Complimentary breakfast offers coffee, tea, buns, hot water, microwave, etc. Easy self-service for temporary luggage storage. Large lounge area in the third-floor lobby to relax, eat, & meet guests from all over the world. We stayed here for 7 days total with a one-day break between the 4th & 5th days due to an excursion.

Our Hollywood Deluxe double room was otherwise cramped with the two beds occupying most of the space. Need to crawl awkwardly onto the beds. Needed to descend to lobby lounge to use our laptops comfortably.

this hotel has a lounge with free breakfast and hot drinks (coffee/tea/water). They also provide a change of towels on a daily basis, and fresh PJs, slippers etc. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower floors at this hotel are also very nice and are one of my favourite things about the bathroom. I also liked that there was space underneath the beds to stow our luggage’s.

The rooms are very dark even with all of the lights turned on to the max. The lounge tables were often filled with crumbs and not always clean. There was something in the hotel that really triggered my dust or pollen allergies which I did not have in Tokyo. During my stay, I kept sneezing and nose kept running. The dryers were also not drying clothes very effectively and there are often extremely long lines of people at night trying to dry their clothes.

Loved the design of the hotel and the room I stayed in, particularly the simple furniture and great shower. Checking in and learning how everything worked was super easy. Loved that you were able to choose your room based on actual availability.

Would have been nice to have a bit more natural light; at times the room felt really dark and closed, even with the graphic blinds lifted to allow light in since the window faced a building. Also, maybe more a problem of guests but there were carpet stains in the room and through the hall on my floor, likely from people partying a little too hard and spilling drinks.

It has a really nice atmosphere It was very comfortable easy to move all over the hotel. It has a laundry room. And the lobby is the best addition in the whole hotel, which you can meet new people. read some manga if you know Japanese I’ll just look at the pictures and imagine the conversations. The staff was very helpful to be honest. Most of them don’t speak English, but they was trying so hard to get to the point you want them to know just feel free to ask them anything and they will help you to go I am over Kyoto 

I had some issues which was the cleaning stuff getting into my room after knocking few times the morning and I was sleeping so I didn’t answer all of the sudden the staff was coming inside the room while I’m sleeping I didn’t tell the the main staff which is in the third floor because sometimes this happens, so make sure you have don’t disturb on your door 

It was such a cute and fun design hotel. Above all the cleanliness was superb!! We had a travel mat with us to do some workouts in our room and we were shocked how clean the carpet was underneath the bed. Location was perfect, walking distance from many places or multiple transport options near us. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes us straight to the main station. Would definitely come back here again!

I can't think of anything to be honest. We really liked it. Maybe better coffee options? But this is just a minor one.

It served as a great base for exploring the city, and transportation options were readily available. Overall, the positive aspects of this hotel, including comfort, value, and location, made my stay quite satisfactory.

One significant drawback was the consistent overcrowding caused by a large influx of American tourists. This resulted in long queues at check-in, crowded common areas, and busy dining spaces. The hotel seemed overwhelmed by the crowds, which detracted from the overall experience and made it less relaxing and tranquil. If you prefer a quieter and more peaceful environment, the constant busyness may be a concern. While the hotel offers comfortable accommodations and good value, the issue of overcrowding is an important factor to consider when deciding on a stay. Also, the rooms where not that comfy and dusty.

I liked the blackout room, I slept very well, though it was hard waking up in the morning! The coffee and breakfast snacks were great. I liked the quirky art and the fact it was kind of like a modern version of a ryokan.

The bed sheets untucked easily in the night and, exile I understand the eco-clean (basically just tidying), it would have been nice for them to have made the bed. A little more light in the room would have been nice for reading/planning the next day's activities as the black out effect did make it VERY dark at all times.

Hotel was really pleasant, in a good location with a 7/11 directly downstairs. The room itself was quite was cute - exactly as displayed in the photo. The environment was really nice and relaxing especially for tourist, the open space in the lounge was really nice and they offered free hot & cold water, as well amenities.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the laundry situation, they only had 3 washer and 3 dryer - while the clothes automatically washed for 30 min it took a lot longer then an hour to completely dry the clothes.

Amazing location, love that the convenience store is literally directly under the hotel. There are some free amenities in the lobby, free coffee and tea and apparently a free breakfast snack (although I was never early enough to get it) A lot of restaurants in the neighborhood and even a small supermarket. Walking distance to some of the best sightseeing spots and if you dont feel like walking there is a bus stop literally in front of the hotel which takes you to most places. The water pressure in the shower was great.

There was no fridge so we couldn't take drinks or other food that had to be kept cold. The room had terrible lighting to the point that even I, a person that likes their bedroom dark was bothered by it. There was no place to keep your towels or your clothes in the bathroom which is kinda uncomfortable if you wanna change in the bathroom. My bed linen got "cleaned" one day but since there was a small stain on my blanket i could see that it didn't actually get cleaned. And no bath, which is ofcourse not mandatory but this was the only hotel out of the 5 hotels I stayed at this trip that didn't have a bath.

The rooms and common areas are so cute with their anime characters! There was a free breakfast too. The machine check in and out was quick and easy, and the location is a short walk to most things. The best thing - it was such good value for money! The bed was huge and the shower was always hot. For only $50AUD a night! I’ll definitely return!

The bedding was polyester and made me sweat during the night. Also, the hallway light is motion-detection operated. I spent a good 10 mins looking for the switch to turn it off before calling the reception in frustration. My other complaint is the light from the air conditioner is quite bright and shines directly onto the bed.
