- The location is great. You have to walk a bit to get to Kyoto station, but we did it with our luggage and it wasn't difficult. - The room is a standard hotel one. - The beds are comfortable, they offer free water bottles, change your towels and take out your trash every day. - The lobby area is great to work on your computer. - The staff is friendly and helpful. - I liked the bathtub.

- The room was on the smaller side, but enough for us. You can put your luggage under the bed, but it wasn't* very tall so we couldn't fit our suitcases inside (but for backpacks and carry-ons it's no problem). - In many cities in Japan they have an "accommodation tax" that is not mentioned before. So be prepared to pay 200 yen extra per night per person on-site.

The size of the room and the cleanness was top notch. A very comfortable place and a fantastic value for money. Staff very helpful and polite. I liked the lounge with drinks a lot! The location was okay, about 15 min walk to the station, but for everything else you either had to walk quite a bit or take subway or a bus, but it wasn't a big problem. Overall, a great place.

One thing I absolutely didn't like was the quality of the pillows. Out of 4 pillows that I had on my bed, 2 were impossible to use and the other two pretty uncomfortable. I would have liked at least one soft pillow. The rest of the bed was very comfy.

Very friendly staff. One block from the local train line. The main train station where tours meet is not far. So the hotel's location was a prime reason for access to local transportation.. All services were provided as described. You could walk to the National Museum of Kyoto and some beautiful temples. Others are much farther away; so we took a guided tour bus and used some UBERs. Gion District is not far. There is food in the neighborhood, a McDonald's nearby, and 7/11 across the street for snacks, quick coffee, etc. No food is available at the hotel. The room was compact but spotless, and comfortable twin beds for me and my companion. If traveling alone, I would be very comfortable staying here. The beautiful bridge with white cranes was nearby, and local children walking to school every morning was a delight! Domo arigato!!

Nothing to mention since we had the expectations that this hotel met! Price, location, English-speaking staff! The only reason for the 9 was maybe a coffee station in the common area would be nice in the morning. But all personal amenities, including a tea pot, were available!

The staff were all so welcoming, helpful and friendly. They organised the transfer of my luggage to the next hotel and helped answer any questions. The hotel had a spacious communal dining area (see hotel pictures) with a microwave so you can heat up any food you may have bought in and can enjoy it there so as not to stink up or spilling food/drinks in your room. Location was great. Right across the street from a 7-Eleven for convenience items, close to restaurants and cafes as well as only being a short walk to bus and train transportation. Room met expectations and was serviced using the eco cleaning schedule which we were fine with.

Only critique was that a cleaner left a dirty rag on the floor after the 'full' clean. Also, toilet brush wasn't provided nor the toilet bowl cleaned after the 'full clean' day.

The hotel is located 5 minutes by foot from the Shichijō Station where you can take the Keihan line to many tourist attractions, diners, and bars. There is a 7-11 across the street from the hotel so you can buy snacks and drinks easily. It is also close to the Kamo River, where you can jog, have a picnic, or even just peacefully watch the aquatic birds like egrets, herons, and ducks. The hotel staff is polite and helpful. There are many amenities in the hotel that you can use to your comfort. I would gladly stay here again for another trip.

Almost everything! The location is super close to Shichijo station （七条駅）and 10 mins away from Kyoto main station. There’s a few restaurants/ bars around the area (definitely recommend the wagyu BBQ Yamadaruma just next to it). All the staffs speak good English and were SUPER helpful! The room we had was fairly BIG, we had two 29’ suitcases that can be fully opened without getting in our ways. The soundproofing was good, and the BED was amazing as well so we love it! I will definitely come back to stay here!

The pillow. My husband wasn’t very happy about it as the pillow has ‘bean bags’ inside, which I believe is commonly used in Japanese hotels. I personally had no complaints about it as I love HARD-ish pillows, but he prefers soft ones so it wasn’t his gem, he also didn’t like how the pillow moves (sinking).

Great facilities, nice room though small as many in Japan are, nice eating area with microwave and a good location.

OK, so I fell for the booking.com scam about having to enter your card details just before the stay. The message comes through the booking.com email system a day before the stay saying your card failed and need to reconfirm. Do it and for me it just timed out. Stupid, Stupid. I showed the staff on arrival and they were pleasant but did not do anything, so it tainted what would have been a fantastic stay as the hotel is great. Not sure who to blame, the hotel or booking.com but something shady going on. As it happens, so far, nothing had been stolen, so I hope I was lucky.

A lovely hotel. Very accommodating staff. The lounge area is a great spot. The beds are firm and comfortable. They are using eco-cleaning which I applaud- there is no need to clean and wash bed linen every day if the same people are hiring a room. Fresh towels were welcomed. There is a lovely craft beer cafe next door which was absolutely lovely. A 7-11 across the road. Other great eateries were closer to the train station . The walk to the station was quite easy.

The room was quite small - luggage was stored under the bed. Otherwise we were more than happy!

The location is really convenient for Day Tripps from Kyoto station & also to walk to the Gion area The staff was friendly & the room was comfortable

The washing machine/dryer is not working well, even after several reruns our cloths didn't get dry but this is the case quite often in Japan. The room generally was clean, but there was dust under the bed and in corners which in other countries is quite common but was a bit unusual for Japan

Easy to reach from Kyoto station with bus 206 and 208, the room is clean and the facilities are quite modern. There are places to rest in the lobby and there is a microwave to use as well. You could also do the laundry on the ground floor. The neighborhood is really quiet and it is nice to walk along the river. The hotel is close to the Shichijō Station, which you could take the Keihan railway to the Inari station and visit Fushimi-Inari Taisha. There is a bus station along the road to the west, where you could take bus 86 to Gion and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Convenient store 7-11 is just across the street and you could also walk to the city center for about 10 minutes.

Like other hotels in Japan, the room is smaller than you think, which is a disadvantage if you take huge suitcases. But overall it is still a nice room.
