Amazing facilities, good room space for Japan and for a reasonable price per night! Loved the warm seat toilet lol Location was handy for pretty much anywhere, tried walking to Kiyomizudera (30 mins) or you can take the bus very nearby. Tokyo station 10-15 mins walk, even with luggage we had no problem. Keihan line subway for Fushimi Inari and day trips to Nara and Osaka a couple minutes walk away on the other side of hotel near the bridge, you can walk along the Kamo River. Konbini just outside for late night snacks. Amenities like drinks (hot or cold) free downstairs as well as towels, etc. Staff were courteous enough.

We had a fire alarm at 4 am amd staff were nowhere to be found. All guests gathered groggily down the fire escape route down to reception, no one had any idea what happened. It was like tower of Babel everyone trying to know what's going on. After about 20 mins, staff appeard but no explanation...just said OK all is fine, you can take the lift now. Other than this, it was a great stay!

Beds super comfy, and clean. We had twin room, I was with my husband and we slept perfectly fine in just 1 bedroom, so size are good. The lobby smells really good and you can do the check-in 24hrs so don't have to worry for the arrival time. Staying in Kyoto you will have to pay 200 yenes (we paid that amount) for each guest as taxes as they informed us, so have that in consideration. Hotel is close to Kyoto station and Keihan line but not too close, you will have to walk around 15 mins.

The room was spacious, as we ordered a double bed each which they joined together and that was brilliant, having the space to move. Everything was in the room. When greeted by the concierge, you are met with lovely aromatic smells, having access to bath salts was amazing after big days of walking and cycling really helped to relax. Access to water and coffee (I think you have to pay) in the foyer.

The only issue was the a/c seemed to make a lot of noise and the bathroom had a big step in and out of it.

Location was easy to get to from the main train station. Staff were friendly and spoke converstational english. Rooms were large compared to other similar priced hotels.

Non-smoking room i stayed in had smoking rooms in the same floor. Resulted in smell of smoke coming from the door into our rooms. Feedbacked to the counter staff and they assisted to clean the corridor, however, it still regularly 'smokes' up at night with lingering smell in the morning.

Everything! Friendly staff, lobby that always smells great, the drinks by the reception, the perfect location (3 min walk to subway, about 8-10 mins walk to Kyoto station) with a river nearby, quiet, very clean streets, vegan food place nearby, and the spacious room more than enough for a couple! ♥️ Highly recommended, will definitely book this again when we go back to Kyoto!

The awesome desk staff. The fantastic location, easy walk to Shichijo train station. Herons and other wildlife on the Kamo River

The very tall step down from the bathroom. Masked no common sense to make it such a hazard for guests with no glow in the dark markings in the floor to warn of the big drop. Jet lag+unfamiliar surroundings+ dark room= fall hazard The tub is also a giant step out of with slipping a hazard.

Our room had the biggest bed we had seen for a long time, however not much space for your luggage. The hotel offered free coffee, water and toiletries and was cleaned every day to a high standard. The location was great to get to Gion, Kyoto train station is 10 minutes away and was an easy 10 minute walk to find bars and somewhere to eat. Staff were very friendly.

Breakfast was not brilliant, most of the food including eggs etc were cold.

The hotel was a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station and close to the subway which brings you to the shopping district, Kiyomizudera or Gion. The hotel had a japanese style or western breakfast buffet. The rooms were decently sized, clean and air-conditioned. Over all we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The ceiling of the bathroom was very low. I am 1.86m so this would not be a problem if you are shorter.

The room was very clean. Nice size. Beds were very comfy and shower was amazing (good pressure and temperature). Breakfast was very good. Nice to have coffee and water available to guests at reception. Staff very polite and helpful. Hotel is close to Kyoto station. Good access to transportation to move around Kyoto. Many restaurants and convenience store nearby.

All went well. Nothing we dislike.

Overall this was a nice hotel with friendly helpful staff, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with a decent amount of options.

Could hear a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms and traffic outside, was easy to hear people talking and I was even woken up by the alarm of someone in the next room, so not the best hotel for light sleepers
