The hotel location was excellent. Closed to train stations and taxis. And within a short walk to shopping, restaurants and attractions. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was wonderful and the restaurant decor was classy and welcoming. Our hotel room was clean, comfortable and roomy. The staff did an excellent job in cleaning and preparing our room daily. The best part of all was the hotel front desk hostess; a Miss Ishida. She was one of the best hotel host I've ever encountered in my 50 years of travel throughout the world. Miss Ishida was gracious, hospitable, welcoming and went out of her way to help us at every turn. What a fine asset she was to your hotel. Please thank everyone at the hotel, in particular Miss Ishida, for their making our stay an enjoyable experience.

There was not anything we regret about your hotel.

Location was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the private bathroom set up where the commode was separate from the shower and main sink. It really helped with getting 3 people ready to go places! Loved the atmosphere of the streets around it. We felt safe there!

Location is super close to Shijo station which was just 3 stops from Kyoto station on the Karasuma line (subway). If you're travelling with a trolley bag, exit from no.4 instead of 6 because there's no elevator to take you upstairs at exit 6. Once you reach the ground floor, keep to the right and you'll see the hotel. Don't get distracted by the Starbucks and keep going;) There's also a small convenience store (Family mart) next to the hotel which was useful during our stay. If you want to check the layout of each room before booking it, go to the hotel's official website (you'd need to google it) >click on Guest rooms for details. The breakfast is served at the cafe downstairs. The menu was fixed and limited to just 4 during our stay. The ingredients were however, fresh, light and not bad. Basics consisted of yogurt with some fruit, small salad, mini-croissants + various breads, orange juice, a pot of coffee or English tea. Aside from that you can select your main which would be a soup, lasagne (if I remember correctly), french toast with a sausage, scrambled eggs with sausage (and maybe ham?) or sunny-side up eggs with sausage (and maybe ham?).

Mini-fridge didn't have a freezer section. The air ventilator in the shower was not strong enough. It can get extremely hot if you stay in too long or decide to take a bath.

Unbelievably nice hotel room, cannot believe it was as cheap as it was. Huge super king bed, couch/sofa, table - it just felt so nice being in there. Toilet and bathroom were super clean, nice and modern. They gave us an extra duvet when we requested one as well, so they are very accommodating. Staff were very friendly, the hotel lobby and restaurant next to it were great too. Location was great, in the heart of Central Kyoto, right next to multiple stations, and a short walk to Nishiki Market and the river.

They were not able to hold our luggage for a few hours like some hotels do.

Probably the best thing about this hotel is the level of professionalism of the staff. We felt very welcome and we were served at our beck and call. Upon arriving, we received meal coupons that we could use for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant staff was also very professional ad the food was amazing. The location of the hotel is superb since it's right next to a subway station but also only a 5 minute walk to Karasuma and the Pokémon Center.

What annoyed us most - since we had to work during our stay - was that the Wi-Fi in the hotel is VERY BAD. Once connected, the internet speed is fine but the overall Wi-Fi signal is very weak which means that your phone keeps disconnecting. My mobile data subscription took a hit whilst in the hotel. We were transferred to another room but to no avail. The hotel should definitely invest in more access points (maybe even one per room).

The location is right next to the subway, super convenient! Also, it is super close to all other food areas etc. It's also really convenient to travel around Kyoto with buses which the station is just outside of the hotel. The hotel staff speaks Japanese, English, and fluent Chinese, very convenient for tourists! The room is really big for a Japense hotel, perfect fit for 2person. The toilet is really clean too with a bath tub and separated with the shower space which is really nice. The breakfast is awesome! There's 4 choices, but with many bread choices, although it's not Japanese style breakfast, but it' tasted really good! I love this hotel. I would go back to the hotel if I ever visited Kyoto again.

Great hotel, super location, lovely helpful friendly staff, delicious breakfast and bakery, excellent size and comfortable room.

Sadly, there is no double glazing so there is a lot of street noise at all hours of the day and night. We were on the premium floor (9th) and had a crosswalk with the cuckoo sound below our window! Such a pity as we did not sleep well. If it had been double glazed, there would have been no problem and we would have had a fabulous stay!

Location central to transport.

location - very convenient! 2min to metro station, nearby shops, restaurants, convenient stores. There's a Tonkatsu place just downstairs, superb food there. room - simple but practical and comfortable. very clean too. had a tub & enjoyed some baths there after days of intense walking around being a tourist

Slightly inconvenient if you want to work - there's a coffee table (low) and sofa, but no desk for working. Breakfast is not too fantastic but good enough - gets repetitive with the same 4 options after a few days. Also lots of convenient stores, cafes, food options around so it's not necessarily to get breakfast at the hotel :)

It is a small hotel, but very cosy and with a very friendly staff. The location is great - it is situated in the central area, next to the subway station, 2 stations away from Kyoto train station. They also have a nice restaurant where you can have dinner. Great value for the price.

The room is quite small, there is no space for an extra bed. Breakfast is very good but you have to choose from 3 preset options, so if you plan a longer stay that could potentially turn into a disadvantage.
