The location was basically perfect for me. Not immediately at a big road (so nice and quiet). Senso-ji is very nearby to the east and in the west there is some residential areas which I found soothing and atmospheric to walk through. Train stations are very close (especially the connection to Akihabara is very good). Convenience stores, supermarkets and other stores are also close. The room itself is relatively big although not necessarily anything special. It's a place where you can relax after a day of exploring, but not something for you if you plan to spend a lot of time there (small TV with 3(?) channels and a table). Considering the location and room size the price is great.

A simple and clean hotel. We valued the awesome location as well as the price. Comfort wise, though it does take some adjusting to the futons and laying them out, we slept very comfortably and it was something we wanted to experience. There was acloset space to hang clothes and store luggage, and thankfully most of it fit! The owners had limited english but were very kind and accomodating. We would likely repeat our stay here!

Small size, so we had to shuffle a bit in the room since we had quite a lot of luggage. This was a bit of an issue throughout our entire trip in Japan, but these rooms were particularly small.

This was a great place to stay! Asakusa was nice and quiet compared to other parts of Tokyo, but the Ryokan was still conveniently located near the train station, 24 hour don quixote, and lots of convenience stores and restaurants. The room was clean, had good air-conditioning and a window, wifi, a shower room and a bathroom, and plenty of storage space for large suitcases. The owner was kind and helpful, always happy to answer our questions. Amazing value and everything was just as described.

We liked everything! The only thing to note is that the room is not soundproof so you do need to be mindful of your noise, which I think is quite normal for most ryokan.

This very small inn is close to the asakusa train station and the famous asakusa buddhist temple which is less than 1 km to the east. The air conditioning in the small room worked really well (better than the 4-star hotel which I am staying in now that costs 5 times as much). This location is just one train ride from Haneda station (no transfers) and took around half an hour. The tatami matt flooring and bathroom & separate toilet was very clean. The mattress lying on the ground was very comfortable. The wifi had a strong signal and was fast (again much better than what I am staying in now). Ueno station is only 1.3 km west, and high speed shinkansen trains leave from there. The owner/operator was very polite and could explain things to me in English.

The room with the toilet was extremely small, as well as the tiny sink next to it. The windows opened into the lobby of the building next door.

The location is just a step away from the tourist attraction. The room was small yet comfortable with complete amenities. Name it, they have it. The staff although doesn't speak English, they use translator app, thus still possible to have communication. They also very nice and helpful. What I love the most was their tatami haha..

Not recommend for those people who only transit with lots of luggages or big luggage. The location near the tourist spot but the station attached to haneda or narita airport need a lot of your effort.

We stay in the private room here whenever we're in Tokyo for the past 5-6 trips or so. It's small but very comfortable and well laid-out. Shower/bath was re-done since we'd last been there (2019) and was great with plenty of room for my taller husband. Good water pressure. A/C worked great. Front desk guy was very friendly and nice, always with a cheery smile :) Location is fantastic, between Sensouji and Kappabashi. 0.3 mi from subway station Tawaramachi and 1.3mi from Ueno station, but both are a really pleasant walk through the neighborhood area.

Would be nice if they could update the dryer with one that could actually dry! Not a big deal though, you can hang your clothes to go to Coin & Laundry Toms (an easy 1/2 mile away.)

A great location if you'd like to spend time in Tokyo, but aren't necessarily a fan of the hustle and bustle of the more touristy places - Asakusa has everything you need for a little slower vacation within walking distance, and it's quieter (than akihabara or shinjuku) at the same time. The gentleman in charge of the place is extremely nice and helpful, the room we spent a week in was not some big one, but reasonably planned enough that you didn't feel a lack of space. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay

The owner is so kind. The room exceeds my expectations. Everything has it’s own place which shows thoughtfulness that went into making the room comfortable for guests. There are allocated places for shoes, luggage and umbrellas etc. It suits someone very particular like me very well. I appreciate that very much. The bed was so comfortable. The memory foam pillow is marvellous. Everything was provided with care, the towels and the yukata are the softest I’ve ever used.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great - in the middle of Asakusa, very close to the Sensoji temple. The owner of this hotel is very nice and helpful person. The bed was very comfortable, and the price for a japanese-style room with a bathroom in the heart of Tokyo is unbeatable.

It's a minor thing, but I found it a bit difficult to brush my teeth or sit comfortably on the toilet, since the washroom and the sink is very small.

Great location, near to transport (two train lines) and attractions, bars, restaurants and shops. The room was Japanese style so low and small (that's what I wanted) but had everything I needed. Private toilet bathroom and a private shower/bath japanese style. Hot water available just outside the door, and I had tea and a thermos for hot water. Slippers, robe and toiletries provided. Staff spoke enough english to get by with my terrible three words of Japanese, and they were happy to help and please, always cheerful. Cleaned regularly. Umbrellas to use. Tourist information there. Able to look after you bags prior to and after moving in. Able to have tickets sent there to wait for you to come pick them up - this is really useful!

The roof top washing machine and dryer. I didn't mind going up the stairs and it was quite nice on the roof garden area, but the dryer was terrible (they did warn me) and it only runs for thirty minutes, so you need several trips up and down the stairs to dry something - and let me tell you, if you've never experienced the japanese love of lots of steep stairs, this will teach you all about it. Still, that's my only gripe and it's pretty small.
