Firstly, I LOVE the location of this hotel! The location is very strategic! Its about 5 mins walking distance to ROX (small departmental store), Donquijote and Uniqlo is just behind the hotel as well as Senso-ji temple! Amazing! 7-Eleven is just 2 mins from the hotel too. There is a Family Mart, Lawson and Mr. Donut across the street. For muslims, there is Sushi Ken which is about 5 mins away, on the same block. There is also a kebab store across the street that sells scrumptious shawarma! Regretting not getting another shawarma a few days before we left. The subway locations is quite near. Those that carry more than 2 pieces of luggage, please stop at Tawaramachi station as it has a lift. Do not stop at Asakusa station! Oh, there is also a duty free pharmacy on the same block about 5 mins away. No worries about forgetting any essential basic first aid. The hotel has very attentive staff that are at the front desk 24 hours. They can converse in English very well. Checking in was a breeze and it only lasted a few minutes. However, if you plan on checking in early and the room is ready, be mindful that you may have to pay a certain fee for early check in. If you don't want to pay the fee, you can leave your luggage near the front desk and roam around Asakusa area until its time to check in. The hotel has amenities that you can take at the front desk for free. Amenities include, moisturizer, toner, body lotion, body towel, toothbrush and toothpaste, tea, coffee, etc. Basically, you can come here without bringing any toilettries with you! More room to bring home awesome Japanese skincare. Ladies, please bring your sanitary pads, though. They have a 2 in 1 washer and dryer which is very convenient and you have to pay 500 yen at any given time for both functions. Bear in mind you would have to do the laundry either bright and early which is before 6am or later around 11am to avoid the crowd as there are only 2 units of the washer and dryer.

I didn't like that housekeeping is done only 3 days once. The last few days we were there, they forgot to do housekeeping in our room. We didn't mind it much as our luggage made it difficult for cleaning to be done. Keep that in mind if you want a daily housekeeping of your room.

We liked every aspect of this hotel. The location was just a few minutes from Asakusa Tsukuba Station which isn't JR but you could easily go to Akihabara to transfer and get to anywhere you wanted to go. You were just a few minutes walk from Sensouji Temple. Great location! The breakfast was excellent. I love curry and it was served every morning. Both Japanese and western foods were available. The coffee was excellent and I was super happy they had ice and water to fill my water bottle. The rooms were spacious for Japan and the beds were so comfortable. Coin laundry available and you didn't have to buy detergent, it was included. Staff was super nice and no language issues at all.

The only thing I would have liked was to use the water dispenser outside of breakfast hours. I went there just a few minutes after meal time was over and the staff person seemed annoyed with me. She allowed me to fill my water bottle but she wasn't too happy about it and she didn't try to hide it.

As long as you keep your expectations low, this is a great hotel to stay. Hotel Keihan Asakusa provides a clean, functional place to shower & sleep. Hotel staff were very accomodating and facilitated our check-in/check-out. The free breakfast is a definite plus, offering both Western & Japanese style items. The hotel does get busy during breakfast time, so if the dining area gets too full, you can bring the food back to your room. They even offer To-Go breakfast options for those who need to get out.

The hotel made me feel like I time traveled to the early 2000's. It was an era where there were no USB outlets and TV's had 1080p wide bezel screens. The bed creaked loudly and the aging rolling chair had many stains.

From top to bottom really impressed with the hotel. Rooms are basic and a little small but that's par for the course in Japan. Great location (multiple stations within 10 mins walk for easy access across Tokyo and even for a direct line to Nikko). Breakfast had a small amount of variation day to day but the variety on offer we found great, also the option to take small snacks over breakfast later in the day (with breakfast included bookings) was nice to have. Facilities on the whole were solid, good bathrooms in the rooms and in shared areas, adequate laundry etc. Staff were also excellent, good communication and helped with every question we had. Would highly recommend.

I believe they are changing the way they are doing breakfast, I don't want to speak out of turn as the translation on the notice may not be completely accurate, but from reading seemed like it may be costing more? Take with a grain of salt though as I may be misunderstanding/misinterpreting.

The location is really good, nice and beautiful, in the Asakusa neighbourhood. Also, the hotel is really nice, clean and comfortable. The room was great, as expected.

In general, our stay was awesome so not much. The only minor things that I could say is that the TV in the room was on the desk so if you want to see the TV before sleep.. it is quite uncomfortable. I think it could be better if the TV was in the wall in front of the bed. Also, the breakfast zone is quite small and depending on the time, maybe you have to go to your room to have breakfast because all seats are unavailable. However, minor things. Our stay was really good.

Good location, once I got the hang of finding my way around; very close to Donki and the Tsukuba Express (TX) that connects to Akihabara in 4 minutes. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. I didn't really try the breakfast, but you do get free breakfast vouchers for every single morning of your stay.

Location was difficult to find when I first arrived at 11pm (google maps' fault; among other things it did NOT know there was a 7-11 right next to the building). However, it didn't feel unsafe - I was just exhausted from my flight. Also, the hotel website said there was free laundry corner on the 7th floor... This is not true! There is, however, a coin laundry corner on the 2nd floor. The machine can wash and dry all at once, which is cool, but it does cost 500 yen each time.

Very central and in a lively area, 10 mins to subway station (JR is even closer) and to a lot of attractions. Staff were extremely nice. Breakfast included but very minimal. Rooms very small but from what I read that‘s normal in Tokyo. 2 adults with big suitcases were definitely a struggle, but we were out of the room most days. The facilities were on the older side but well managed and clean. Never heard any neighbors! They also change your bedsheets every 3 days, amazing.

Only disposable dishes at the breakfast. I understand that you can take it up to your room but eating cereal with a wooden spoon is very distasteful to me. Providing normal dishes for the people eating downstairs would be great, also considering the environment.

It is not my first time at this hotel and I will visit again. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the breakfast is very yummy and included, there is the possibility to wash you clothes and they help you sending the luggage via Yamato service.

Our window broke twice, so it was not possible to close it again. Someone came to fix it but afterwards it was not possible to open it again. And the staff should maybe improve their foreign language skills. Unfortunately my Japanese is not well enough to ask how I have to use the washing machine. I tried to ask in English and it was impossible to communicate. It would be helpful to at least have a manual in English.

Location - besides TX Asakusa which is not exactly the Tokyo Metro line (abt 15 mins walk away) but TX is a far quicker way to get to Akihabara and Ueno. TX also goes to Tsukuba which has great nature walks, cycling tracks and JAXA exhibitions. The hotel itself is next to Sensoji, and smack right in the middle of Asakusa which means no lack of food, shopping and sights. 30 minute walk to Skytree (cross the Sumida River) in the east or, westward towards Ueno through the Kappabashi Street where you will find wholesale cookware and surprisingly, coffee beans and coffee making tools. Room - is the standard Tokyo size which means small by any other standards (even Kyoto and Osaka has it better). My 11yo son and I lived in the smallest twin room and all the luggage goes between the 2 beds. But there's no lack of anything at all and the bed is wonderfully firm. Furnishings are dated however and you can expect to see dust in the corners. Breakfast - is basic but filling. The standard biz hotel fare of curry, broiled fish, rice, miso and bread. There will be 3 or 4 dish-of-the-day items but most of the menu does not change. You can bring the food back to your room using trays and takeout boxes or you can exchange your tickets for beer and cracker set or take away sets (juice box and small packaged pastries).

Not a lot. The room size is challenging and furnishings old but then again, it's comfy and clean and at such a pocket-friendly price, what's there to not like?

Breakfast was really good. A good selection of Japanese and western food, with a good option for healthy food (salad with delicious Japanese style dressing, boiled egg, japanese pickles, etc). The restaurant is small but they gave us the option to bring our food to our room using proper basket, containers with lid etc.

The room was a bit small, but not surprised since I have stayed at similar sized hotel rooms in Tokyo. We still managed even with our suitcases(2 big suitcases and 1 cabin-anymore than this I wouldn't recommend). The location is very close to the touristy area of Asakusa, but a bit of a walk to the subway station, however if you have pasmo or suica you can use the non subway station which is near by. All in all nothing to complain about though!
