The location is excellent, family mart close by and Roppongi station, plus Starbucks in walking distance and other places to eat. Staff were friendly although didn’t have too much interaction with them due to the positioning of the front desk. Bed was comfy enough and it’s a very calm and quiet hotel, perfect to relax after a day exploring.

We booked our hotel only about a week or 2 before so there weren’t many room options left, we just took what was left so room was slightly small for a family of 4. Also the elevator always stops on the 3rd floor (reception) no matter what, slightly annoying but nothing major.

Great Location, easy access to metro and interesting local streets. Dramatic city view. We were given a top floor room as requested. Fast lift. Rooftop onsen was relaxing. Good value. Big beds. Easy access to Haneda airport.

Rooms were a little snug. More space for luggage would have been handy.

Location was great. Plenty of food options for the buffet breakfast.

The beds were a little hard and too big for the room. We found it a little cramped for the two of us to move around. Smaller beds would give so much more room.

The hotel was great. It was in a great location, close to the train stations (2 different lines), lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The staff was nice and spoke English, so check-in was a breeze. We got a room with 2 beds. It was spacious with a built in chaise lounge by the window. We had a view of Tokyo Tower from our room which was nice. The sky spa was great, with one of the baths in open air.

There was a tub in our bathroom which was nice, but it was kind of small. The sky spa was a free amenity which was great, but it did get crowded, sometimes with a lot of kids. There was no free coffee.

overall it was just amazing, can't say enough. but the rooftop onsen and steam room - wow, i don't think i would even want to stay in tokyo without having this as part of the deal. it was outstanding!

it would have been nice to be able to just grab a croissant (they allow you take the coffee) upstairs from the breakfast to my husband as he loves to not always come down to breakfast but it is not allowed. It seems like as long as they restricted it (bread basket items only, lets say) than this would be a. nice compromise. Please consider this and that would really take it over the top!

It was my second stay at the Candeo Roppongi in 8 months and I am still charmed by the atmosphere that emanates from this design hotel. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped and decorated with care, and they offer fantastic views on the nearby tower of Tokyo. The breakfast buffet is just sumptuous with a rich variety of cold and hot Japanese dishes and western options. On the rooftop you can find a dry sauna, showers and traditional Japanese hot and cold baths well relaxing after a day of work or tribulations in the overheated capital. Staff is friendly and helpful. Last but not least, the hotel is located in the center of Roppongi, close to several metro lines and to numerous restaurants (from simple snacks to Michelin starred), clubs and pubs, world class art museums, Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown...

Nothing, really.

We stayed in Roppongi a bit out of nostalgia as we lived in Ark Hills down the road many years ago, and had looked at many possible hotels online. I’m really glad we chose the Candeo - we had a very comfortable stay here. The hotel is just off a main junction of Roppongi-Dori where there are several Roppongi Metro entrances (including one accessed through the Family Mart convenience store around the corner); it’s an easy base to travel around Tokyo from. The hotel is smart and the (King) room was bigger than I expected. Yes, there is no wardrobe, drawers or any other kind of storage - you live out of your suitcase. But the bed is gigantic, there are cleverly-designed window benches plus shelves and a fridge, and we didn’t feel cramped. Breakfast was good - buffet style, lots of choice of both Western and Japanese food, all high quality. We didn’t book breakfast-inclusive but paid on those mornings that we stayed in. 2,000 Yen (2,100 including sales tax) per person is very reasonable for the food quality and not expensive compared to hotel breakfast charges in many other cities I have stayed in. There is a gourmet burger place opposite - really great Wagyu and Kobe beef burgers - and a decent ramen place just around the corner past the post office, both of which we had great evening meals at. Roppongi is full of places to eat of course. There are some nice touches. The room comes with pyjamas (instead of bathrobes) and you can buy a set if you really like them! There are plenty of free toiletries/essentials such as toothbrushes, disposable razor, cotton buds, flannels and so on if needed. We didn’t try the included Sky Spa as we were out too much, but the idea of a relaxing soak whilst gazing out over the Tokyo skyline is quite compelling - I’d give it a go if we came back. And finally the staff were lovely. Friendly, helpful, just great. Highly recommended.

No wardrobe/drawers for clothes in the room, only pegs to hang. But this is normal for central Tokyo.

Cannot beat the wonderful rooftop bath. Separate men/women facilities with views of the city beyond (with privacy screening of course). The rooms felt luxurious and spacious. I especially loved the large windows with low seating- I already miss my morning and evening sits by that window!

Difficult to come up with something I disliked, but if I must, just be aware that metro connections in this neighborhood may require line transfers. We loved that it felt off the beaten path. Fewer metro connections were a small price to pay for an authentic feel.

The hotel's at a great location which is close to the Roppongi underground Station. Staffs are friendly and helpful. They also serve breakfast with a great variety of cuisines. I particularly love the sauna and the open air bath on rooftop. Room is quite spacious and the sofa bed is kinda plus to me. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Should your “impulse shopping triggers” turn on, there are a convenient store and a Don Quijote store both within 3 mins walk from the hotel which are sufficient to satisfy such wish for a last-minute shopping spree.

A few number of lockers at the rooftop spa's changing room had a broken lock, a bit pity though. The bathroom of the room is a bit tiny for me, but should be ok.

The staff here were great and so is the location. Rooms were clean and comfortable if on the small side. Step outside and you've got so many great eating options with only a couple of minutes walk to the subway.

The room is rather small and the bathroom doesn't have enough room to swing a cat. You're going to bump into things in it, and don't even think you can have a shower and not get everything else wet inside the room. It really was small! Other than that, there were no real issues.
