Location is very close to the metro. So this is really good when traveling with a lot of bags. 7/11 is 100m from the hotel, a few fruit shopes around the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant.despite the room being realy small it still had a good felling.

The restaurant that is part of the hotel was full of stdange people and it made me fell unsafe as I was traveling alone with my dauther. Also the fruit shopes around were owened by Indians, who eere sll staring at you when you walked by and it made me fell not ok. The hotel staff during the day speaks zero english. The hotel doesnt have a sef they give you a portable one...

The Hotel is really close to the subway station Shin-Ōkubo, and from here you can get to a JR station quickly. The hotel is on a secondary road, that is quiet and there was never noise on the hotel room. Hotel room is quite small, it seems like it is the usual for tokyo, it had a few places we could use to hang some clothes, and a desk. Wish these hotels had raised beds so we could at least store the baggage there. Laundry machines worked and were not expensive. This was a plus. Bed was comfortable, we just had to ask for more pillows. It has a place on the lobby with all the amenities needed, you can just pick up what you need. You also have tea and coffee there 24h free of charge. I though it was a really nice touch. Close to the hotel there are shopping streets and restaurants, and it felt really safe everywhere.

Breakfast was good and very well done, but for 6 days it did not change, I think for long stays it should have at least a second option, even if it required choosing in the night before. I would not book breakfast again because of this. But it was good, just needed variety. Hotel Onsen - I've read that people with tattoos could not go to the onsen, but on the checkin day I decided to ask and the staff at the hotel said it was ok and we could go. On the day I went, I saw a big warning at the front saying "no tattoos" so I went to the reception and asked again just to be sure, this time I got a "you cannot go in" answer. I'm ok with not being able to go in, but all staff should be aware of this and not give different information to the customers.

New and stunningly beautiful hotel in the middle of Korean district Okubo, plenty of Cafes and restaurants around, unique vibe, station shin-okubo and JY line 2 min away. Hotel has a lovely staff, free coffee and tea in the lobby, and a great restaurant downstairs. New Onsen is on the premises and mostly empty. I had an amazing city view from the 10th floor.

Onsen is a little cool for me at 39-40 degrees Celsius. Card to access needs to be obtained at the reception each time.

They let us drop off our luggage early, before check in. There is a female Public Bath and Male public Bath that is available for use at no additional charge. Although I didn't use it I did tour it and it looked very nice and relaxing. There are complimentary items in Lobby in case travelers forget things such as hair ties, body wipes, Toothbrush, facial Lotion, facial wipes, hair brush, 4 different types of coffee, tea, The staff was very friendly. The beds are firm but comfortable bedding and I was given an extra pillow when requested. It really has everything one can need. The Location was excellent. We walked to train station every morning and one night on weekend we just walked around area and there are tons of shops and restaurants. We loved our 4 day stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Galois. 😊

I enjoyed the onsen very much, and the wide range of hotel amenities to choose from at reception. Having a selection to bring up with you to the room also reduces waste, which I appreciate very much. We also enjoyed the bed, and felt it was just right in terms of comfort. The hotel’s location was also one of the best parts! We loved being able to be so close to the Shinokubo station, it made it easy for us to travel around Tokyo.

It was not that we didn’t like it, but I hoped for more variety during breakfast. Although the food was prepared very well, it would’ve been nicer if there were different sets to choose from or a small buffet.

Good value for money! Just a 20-minute walk from the (too) touristy Kabukicho and Golden Gai, and close to Okubo and Shin-Okubo stations that offer great connections to anywhere in Tokyo. My room was more stylish and larger than other hotel rooms in Tokyo, which was a big plus. The bed: a real queen-size, which is quite exceptional. The service was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a less touristy but nevertheless lively area just north of Shinjuku, but with hundreds, if not thousands, of more than decent restaurants. An added bonus: on a sunny day, you can enjoy breakfast outside on the ground-floor terrace. Great for people-watching and catching the local atmosphere.

It was unfortunate that breakfast was too European. This is not the fault of the cooks (plural), as they were probably instructed on what to cook. Other hotels offer both European and Japanese breakfast options. It would have been great to have the chance to experience a real Japanese breakfast, as I have had elsewhere in Tokyo in the past. But perhaps a European breakfast is what most guests expect.

Hotel location very near to the MRT Station, like 3 minutes walk from Shin-Okubo JR Yamanote Line (line that connect Shinjuku , Shibuya and Harajuku). Room was very clean and minimalistic with japanese touch. Amenities provided was great, also they have free-to-use coffee machine. Nearest 7-11 is like seconds away from the hotel, while in the surrounding area you can find lots of restaurant. Also dont forget the public bathroom in the lobbby area. They also have smoking room ! Staff were helpful and friendlies, iIm sure i will be back here again !

No at the moment, well if possible please provide 1 chair in the smoking room haha.

Really good location, less than a minute from Shin-Okubo station on the Yamanote line and a 7/11 on the corner. Hotel had public baths which we used every night - great for achy feet. The hotel staff were lovely and did their best at communicating in English. Amenities were great, laundry room present in the hotel. We asked for extra pillows and they were given to us from reception. Clean towels and water offered, even if room not cleaned. Bed was a king size equivalent. They were happy to look after our luggage after check-out for a few hours.

Small-ish room but very acceptable for Tokyo - bigger than our other hotel we stayed at in Tokyo. We could open both suitcases on the floor.

We started our trip by staying at Galois, and it was the perfect way to kick of our Japan adventure. Located right near the Shinkubo Train Station, it made getting around easy. The rooms are small (well for someone coming from Australia, but standard for Japan!), but enough room to put out a suitcase. The beds were comfy, and with the sun rising so early in Japan, the curtains are completely blackout, which means we could get great rest. Location wise, this is the winner! There are so many restaurants around, and it was just minutes to Shibuya and Harajuku, and Shinjuku. Amenities, it's amazing. It has public baths on level 2, as well as laundry and an oxygen box (no idea what that is, but I'm sure someone would appreciate it!). We would stay here again in a heartbeat. With two kids, we had to get two rooms, but it was ideal for our needs!

I liked everything! It was hard to find on the first night, but that was more user error. We were weary, sweaty and couldn't find what was right under our nose! Thankfully a local turned us around and pointed out the obvious. Again, an us problem! 🤣

Good location - close to train station and other popular train stations e.g one station away from Shinjuku. There is a convenience store across the hotel. Pharmacy shop at the front of the street. Easily accessible to different shops. At first I was worried about the area regarding what the others say but it turns out it was okay. It is next to rail trail but you cannot hear any noises at all. Though it is a small room as well as the toilet, it is still very practical. It is a very clean room!
