A very large room for Tokyo. Good shower pressure and bathroom suite.

They could have a dedicated English speaker at reception. As sometimes it was difficult to communicate with the staff (a me issue as well). Very gear towards the business traveler.

Excellent location for getting around Tokyo on public transport, especially the trains.

Breakfast is a little expensive in the Patio restaurant, but there are shops nearby for cheaper options.

It’s close to the JR shinagawa train station which is very convenient. It’s clean and cozy

Big spacious hotel, beautiful garden, lounges very well equipped (check if you have those included in your reservation). Staff is polite and correct. Just be careful, Booking site says there is a gym, but that is just a small room with a few bikes and treadmills, no weights or other machines. The sister hotel next door has a full gym, but I had to pay to use that gym...

Also they are VERY strict on not letting you check in before 3pm, even if the room is available (for that privilege you have to pay).

Really really excellent service from the bell staff! We had soooo many suitcases (shopping in Japan is too awesome...) and upon check out, one of the bell staff came upstairs to help us store it all while we spent our last afternoon exploring Tokyo. We asked for help booking a taxi for 2:45pm and they went the extra step to call multiple cab companies to confirm a car that was big enough for all our suitcases. When we returned to the hotel at 2:40 they had already brought out the luggage and started to efficiently load it into the vehicle so we could depart exactly at 2:45 for the airport. Truly incredibly preemptive service. King room was 344 sq m - perfect and spacious for all the packing and repacking we had to do lol

Rooms are very dated but we honestly didn't care. Super clean. We still had a great experience.

Some people on booking.com have been complaining about the bedrooms being a little dated, this is probably true but I didn’t mind as I thought the rooms were priced accordingly. Two things the hotel could do to improve guest experience, have an on-site coffee shop (the current cafe charges 14,000 yen (le Triannon) for coffee which is ridiculous. There’s not many cafes around so a good cafe on-site would be great. A shuttle service to the airport or at least let guests know about the shuttle from the Prince Hotel. We hauled our suitcases the 10 mins uphill walk from Shinawaga on arrival which wasn’t what we were expecting after a long flight

In room single coffee was exceptional. View was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Fish pond/feeding experience was great for kid. Close to train lines and easy taxi access. Beautiful garden.

Older room so toilet didn’t flush well. But Really only complaint i had was despite having a/c on 24/7, room would not cool down. Felt like heat was also on at same time so we had to run a/c all night. It was close to train but still a 10-12 minute walk around Winding way down/up hill. Beautiful but tiring after a few days.

Staff was exemplary and hotel was very clean. Close to Shinigawa station. Free bottled water upon request. Baggage hold on the last day after check out as our flight was not until the evening.

We were in a room for 3 adults and as expected, was quite cramped. Not many options were offered for this type of family traveler. Rooms were quite old (carpet, etc) and was very dated. AC did not work in our room so cooled off with the window open. We prefer not having maintenance in our room once we've checked. We did not want to spend extra time in the room as we wanted to explore the city. We managed ok without AC.

The facilities and garden were very nice.

Our visit to the hotel’s tempura restaurant was a bit awkward and felt as though they assumed we were “dumb foreigners” without giving us a chance to prove otherwise; for example, after we’d already eaten most of our meal with chopsticks, one of the staff approached my wife with a spoon and offered it to her for her rice, as though she wasn’t already 2/3s of the way through her bowl. We also got the impression that clients of the hotel were more uncomfortable being around foreigners than our fellow guests at other hotels in Japan which may have had something to do with this treatment.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and so nice a walk through. The location of the hotel was perfect, being across the street from the Shinagawa Station. Lots of restaurants at hotel to choose from as well as all around the area. There is even a Toyota Rent a Car on the grounds too. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was always accommodating and friendly and the hotel smelled amazing. We didn't spend much time in the hotel itself because we were out sight seeing but everything we encountered was perfect.

We had to pay for parking.
