Location is excellent. Short walk to Meguro station. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Spacious bathroom with a separate toilet room and standing shower, which is great (no bathtub) - much better than the typical cramped bathtub/shower/toilet combo in the usual business hotels. Hotel feels new and seems good value.
Breakfast is fixed western and Japanese styles (alternate days). Same fare each time. Room does not have a proper desk+chair or workspace. The hotel does rent out rooms on an hourly basis, like a love hotel (there's a huge sign outside that states the hourly rates). It didn't matter to me because it doesn't feel like a cheap transit hotel, but some guests might mind.

Booked 2 standard double rooms as we are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). Rooms booked were standard double room (non-smoking). Requested for rooms next to each other and this was provided. Perfect location as only mins walk from the station - great as not too far when you have luggages or when you are tired from day activities that you just want to reach your hotel asap. Quick and easy to navigate to major attraction from the station - only 2 stops to Shibuya. A few Lawsons and Family Mart within a min walk, just across Starbucks. Rooms are small which is normal in Tokyo so we weren’t expecting anything bigger. Rooms are clean, comfortable, good quality sheets and towels, 2 bottles of water supplied daily, western and Japanese breakfast was great start of the day. Only 5 mins walk to Meguro river which was perfect to see the cherry blossoms. Felt safe staying at Meguroholic hotel. Staff were all friendly, check in and check out was quick and easy. They also allowed luggage storage.
Coffee during breakfast is too strong for me.

There was a small bar for beverages like coffee, tea, soft drinks, etc. I loved that! It wasn't too much, but just the right amount of hospitality you can really appreciate. After a long day of traveling, it was really nice to have a warm drink and grab a breath freshener (mouthwash) up to my room. They had a table full of bathroom items you could take right next to the elevator doors. The staff were all very kind and greeted you morning or night upon entry. The hotel sit's on top of an underground jazz restaurant. Both the food and the musicians were amazing. The room itself was compact and well designed with business in mind. I found it quiet cozy as it came with a mini fridge, microwave, tea tray for two, electric tea pot, and even a bidet in the bathroom. Lastly, the location is perfect walking distance less than a block away from convenience stores, several restaurants, Starbucks and the Meguro train station.
For some the room may be small, but I personally liked that. It's just right for a solo or two person trip. There really wasn't anything not to like about this hotel. It's a gem I wasn't expecting to find on booking.

Breakfast is nice, and one can have a taste of Japan from the early morning, be prepared for rice and fish. There is also the possibility to have a western-style breakfast. Personnel is very helpful, they try to help of every request, e.g. finding and booking restaurants, providing umbrella, getting luggage.
The check-in time is 15:00 local time, this implies that if you arrive in Tokyo in the morning you have to find some activity before check-in. It appears standard practice in Japan, so it might not be specific to this hotel only.

Our room had a bath and large bathroom which was wonderful. Location is 10 out of 10. There is a lovely ambience to the local area. Not too busy and superbly located close to station on jr yamanote line. Lots of little bars and eateries on the door step and Blues Alley music venue next door where we had a wonderful night listening to astoundingly good musos. I will absolutely be recommending the MEGUROHOLIC hotel and Meguro.
The bed was very firm and we were a little concerned about it but actually we slept very very well and what we initially thought was a negative turned into a positive.

I like the following because they are of high quality and high standard. 1- overall service 2. breakfast was good especially the Japanese breakfast 3. Availability of variety of free drinks ranging from hot drinks to cold drinks were amazing. they think a few steps ahead of the travellers needs especially after a long day .....for those travelers who happen to come back very late every night.
The size of the room is too small for two people. While the bed was awesome and very comfortable, but there's not much space for us to move around freely and packing our bags were challenging due to the limited space. That said we do understand that space is very expensive in Japan and the trend is to maximize everything within a small footprint.

The hotel is very well located. It is a 2-3 min walk to Meguro train station, where you can purchase and load a Suica card for inexpensive train travel to all your sights. There is a Starbucks and a bakery to serve your coffee and breakfast needs. There are a few convenience stores as well as a grocery store on the corner at the eastern traffic light. The hotel rooms (double king) is spacious and has a beautiful large bathroom with shower, double basins, separate toilet as well as a luxurious jacuzzi style bath with rainbow lights. They also supply bath salts and all required toiletries. The bed was very comfortable, a harder mattress than I am used to, but it provided and excellent sleep. The room is also relatively quiet and has blackout curtains. The kitchenette has a countertop, small fridge, kettle, coffee maker, storage, as well as a minibar. The staff are incredibly helpful and courteous Things to note when traveling Japan: It is considered very impolite to leave food on your plate or to waste food. Do not order more than you can eat. Locals do not eat or drink on the streets while walking or in the trains while traveling. No loud talking in restaurants or on trains. Whisper. Neither do they smoke on the street. Special designated areas are provided throughout the city for smokers. There are no trash-cans or bins on the streets and everyone takes their trash home. It is a very civilised society where others are taken into consideration. Even though it is crowded, I was not bumped, pushed, shoved, whistled at or touched for the duration of my 10 day stay. People do not stare or point. The only people sticking out are tourists who do not follow these rules. Do open your eyes and look at what the locals are doing so that you can respect and abide by their rules for harmonious and considerate living. The parks are fenced in so if you are visiting a park, be sure to know where the entrance gates are located as this can save you hours of walking.
The entrance to the hotel is next to a blues bar and there is smoke that gets sucked into the entrance of the hotel. More care could be taken to keep the front entrance clean, tidy and free of smoke. Possibly placing a fan at the entrance that blows outwards. Where housekeeping is concerned, the hotel needs to have options for cleaning where one can opt to keep your bedding and towels so as to save on laundry. There is a magnet that you place on your door if you request house keeping. But they need another magnet that can give you options, such as, leave the bedding. This will not only be a cost saving for the hotel but also the planet.

The hotel was right next the venue we were attending and not too far from the JR station. We had breakfast inside the hotel, it was good enough. For those who don't like Japanese style breakfast there was a bakery just right next the hotel and though we didn't try it it looked pretty good. The hotel has a kind of love hotel vibe so it is better for couples I would say. We were able to check in almost two hours early (for an extra fee of course) after calling in the morning of the same day.
Room was pretty clean but I did find a rather big crumb of chips/snack? under the desk. Otherwise not much to say.

loved the location since it's so close to train. loved the size of the double deluxe room. loved the big bathroom. loved the staff attentiveness. breakfast was good. liked the complimentary sleeping robes. liked the staff. liked the later checkout time of 11.
would have liked later breakfast times. (like, til 10 am would be good). the entry smells a lot like cigarettes from the bar downstairs. would be great if they had room service for food. they would call at 11pm to confirm breakfast time which sometimes woke me up, which I didn't like. would prefer they called earlier or not at all.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, especially the japanese one. The room was clean and very modern. The location was very convenient.
The room size was a bit too small especially because we were travelling with a small cot bed for our kid. But it seems to be often the case in Japan, hotel rooms are generally quite small. Also, small detail but we would have liked to choose our breakfast: basically they alternated, one day japanese style and one day more western style. We would have liked to have the japanese one everyday. But they never asked what we preferred. Perhaps it was actually possible to choose and we didn't ask...too bad.
