Stayed here 2 months as family of four with two kids (4 and 5yr old). We would absolutely recommend Mimaru Suites Asakusa. The staff is very nice, service-oriented and helpful. The apartment is well equipped and clean. A detailed scheduling of cleaning was given to us on arrival. Lot of practicalities make your stay comfortable, e.g., free tea and skin care products, free rental of pajamas, umbrellas, apple TV, toaster, etc. Our unit included a washing/drying machine, for which they also provide you with detergent. The place is well located near many restaurants, transport options, parks, a mall with an indoor playground (4th floor of Ekimise mall), convenience stores, temple, etc. A 24/7 supermarket is also not far to walk. Skytree tower, which has an aquarium and another indoor playground, is not far either and will make it a nice walk over the bridge on a sunny day. We even had a great view to the tower, river, colourful light display, and train line (which keep you and kids entertained).

Very small suggestion: In another Mimaru we also stayed, there were board games for free rental. Would be a nice add to the amenities here as well.

This was our first trip to Tokyo (family with 2 children) and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay than the Mimaru Suites Asakusa. Staff were lovely and welcoming on arrival, all spoke excellent English and went through a detailed check-in with us. Our 2 bedroom suite was on the top floor with amazing views of the Tokyo Skytree tower. It was clean and comfortable with two separate showers decent sized bedrooms, small kitchen and table. The beds were very soft (which we loved, apparently you can turn over if you like a firm mattress), with lovely bedding/airy duvets - it was like sleeping in a cloud! By far the most comfortable beds and best sleep we had during our 3 weeks in Japan. The soundproofing between rooms seemed excellent, didn't hear any noise from other guests at all. Location wise Asakusa was a perfect introduction to Tokyo. A few minutes to Sensoji, lots of interesting little shops and restaurants especially along the covered mall area just off Umamichi-Dori Ave, close to the river, easy access to trains, walk to Ueno Park/Skytree etc, busy but not insanely so such as areas like Shinjuku. Also highly recommend Suke6 diner just around the corner from Mimaru Suites for an easy and delicious breakfast. We would not hesitate to stay here again when in Tokyo.

Nothing - we loved our stay.

Excellent location in Asakusa neighborhood of Tokyo. Hotel is a 5 min walk from Senso-ji Temple. Across the street, there is a lovely promenade with great views of Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi building. This is a great area for families visiting Tokyo as it’s less hectic as compared to Shibuya or Shinjuku areas. There are still great shopping and restaurant options here. The Hotel Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room size was ideal for our family of 4 and much larger than our first hotel room in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo at the outset of our visit. Highly recommend!

Our room was huge and truly felt like a home away from home. This was our first stay on a multi-city tour of Japan. We were delighted by the tea room, which set the tone for our trip. We very much appreciated all the comforts of this space including separate bedrooms, dual showers, daily tea, the dining table, and the laundry. The design of the room was lovely as well. Our apartment was immaculate and very quiet. Most of all, we loved the location. The bustling Asakusa market area and shrine are a short distance away, as is the river walk and Sky Tree. We even felt comfortable allowing our 10 and 14 year old children to explore the neighborhood without us. We somewhat regretted spending so much time in other neighborhoods once we fell in love with Asakusa.

No complaints.

Nice and clean apartment-hotel with the friendliest staff! Service is excellent. Conveniently located near the Asakusa station and situated in a relatively quieter neighbourhood. Lots of food in the vicinity. The room was very spacious by Japan standards.

Asakusa is a little far from many of the areas we were keen to visit e.g. Shinjuku/ Shibuya, Disney etc, but that is no fault of the property per se. This is a no facilities hotel so do not expect any breakfast, room service, onsen/ pool, refreshments etc.

The staff was gracious and helpful with any questions we had. Always greeted us with a genuine smile! It was so easy to arrange luggage transporting services via the concierge. The location was perfect for subway access.

The view from our window wasn't great, but it's to be expected from the location. It would have been nice to have had complimentary water bottles in the refrigerator. In the bathroom, there was a vent cover that kept coming off when we closed the bathroom door, which was a minor issue.

The apartment suite was everything we needed in Kyoto. A reasonable walk from Kyoto station, but only about 5 minutes from the nearest subway exit. Very manageable with luggage. The suite was very comfortable and enough room for the 4 adults. Two of the bedrooms did not have windows, but each room has individual air-conditioning controls; and truth be told, we were only in the room in the evenings/end of day so this did not impact our stay. We stayed for 6 nights, but the room was comfortable enough that we could have quite easily stayed longer.

We loved the location in Asakusa. Very close to Senso-Ji temple, to the subway, to the covered shopping streets of Asakusa, to Skytree. Very touristy during the day, quiet at night, safe. We stayed in the theatre suite and in the premium 2-bedroom suite. Both were spacious with comfortable beds and sofa. Lots of items that you can borrow or use for free from the lobby. Vending machine in the lobby for drinks. Supermarket and restaurants around the corner. We would go back to Mimaru and Asakusa if and when we come back to Tokyo. The reception staff is lovely and speak English quite well. The theatre suite had a nice view of Tokyo Skytree. The Premium suite was on the 13th floor and offered a nice city view from one window.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. However, this was the only managed apartment accommodation on our trip that did not provide breakfast. I would have liked a breakfast option, perhaps a collaboration with a local business that could deliver breakfast ? Cleaning is only done in the morning so take that into account if you are jetlagged and sleep on or until weird hours. Towels were always available though.

This place is SPOTLESS and spacious for a family of four. I love having a living/family room for us to hang out with our two teenagers. Having two bedrooms and showers are a big plus when everyone is trying to get cleaned up. The kitchen is stocked with all kinds of tools and utensils in excellent conditions. We didn't cook though as there are too many good places to eat nearby. The washer/dryer is the reason that I book this place. Hotel is next to a train track but not noisy at all. Staff is friendly and attentive. I would stay there again.

There's nothing that I don't like about this hotel.

The service was incredible. We landed in Haneda very early and they were able to accommodate us with early check for a minimal fee. The rooms are quite spacious and we had an amazing view of the Skytree. The location at Asakusa station was perfect since it is the end of the line for multiple stations and the proximity to Skytree (1-2 train stops) as well as shopping and dining options (5-10 minute walk) made it easier to battle the hot Toyko summer. We also left some camera equipment in our room and they were able to pack it and send it with our luggage forwarding service. There was also a washer/dryer in the room which made it very convenient to do laundry each night if needed.

Nothing.
