It's within walking distance to a number of different train stations and train lines so connectivity is not an issue so long as you don't mind walking a few blocks and having to switch lines. Great dining options all around (shout out to the torikizoku just right outside the hotel which I failed to notice during initial research but where we ended up dining at twice) Love the staff, conversant in English, warm, friendly and helpful. Many many thumbs up! Stayed in the Pokemon themed room and loved it. Well-themed and appointed. Great ensuite toilet and bathroom. Spacious seating/dining area. In fact, the room was so spacious I could spread out 4 whole suitcases on the floor to pack our loot leisurely. A luxury in space starved Tokyo. There was a bedside window that was covered up but letting in light from the outside throughout the entire night. Didn't bother us but some may find that less than restful. Weirdly non-functional kitchenette; cutlery, crockery, stove and hood provided but no pots and pans. No matter since we didn't need to cook (again, so many good dining options at the doorstep!) but for those who do, you may want to enquire with the staff if they loan them out or something. Dryer in the laundry room could be more powerful; remember to clear the lint and stick to smaller loads!

The neighbourhood was fairly quiet but felt safe and was just a short (few minutes) walk to local metro stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size. I find having the kitchenette and little lounge seating area with table very useful when travelling as a family. This meant we could sometimes buy takeaway food and eat in, could store things in the fridge etc. The beds are a good size and the layout fantastic. We have two teenage boys, the tallest is about 5'9 and he slept comfortable in one of the bunks. I found the bed comfortable, my hubby thinks they're a bit too firm. The laundry was useful.

Hubby found the mattress a bit too firm. The lack of an opening window I found a bit stuffy. The shower was not consistently very hot but not freezing cold either.

MIMARU TOKYO HATCHOBORI is located right in between 2 train stations, so it's very convenient. You have 2 choices of train lines depending on where you want to head to. Both stations are around 5 mins walk which is great especially after a tiring day. One thing to note though - exits for both stations are not accessible by lift. So if you have big luggage, be prepared to lug them up the long flight of steps. There's a lot of eateries around the hotel which is great! And not to mention 3 convenience stores as well. You're spoilt for choices! :)

The dryer machines are not as strong as we would like. 2 hours into the dryer, some of our clothes are still moist :( There is 5 dryer + washing machines, so not many and some times you got to wait for a while to get to your turn. MIMARU is an apartment hotel, so the only thing that they did on a daily basis was change towels, collect garbage. We were there for 9 days and the toilet and cabinet tops were not cleaned once.

Good location for accessing key tourist attractions such as Ginza shopping, Tsukiji fish market and Team Labs exhibition. Was a longer walk from Tokyo station than we expected, probably should have caught a taxi when we first arrived. Convenient access to Hatchobori station if you are arriving from Haneda or Narita airports.

Staff perhaps need more training. A few questions caused some confusion. The theatre facilities in the theatre room which we booked were difficult to operate at first until we had settled in. Worth having staff help understand how the theatre facilities work.

Mimaru Hatchobori was an absolute treat to stay at and I would recommend it to everyone. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the check in and check out process was very smooth. The room itself is the best value for money I've experienced, the size of the room is very generous, especially considering small hotel rooms are typical in Tokyo. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and pillows were soft (with a mixture of some firm pillows for those who prefer). The mattress is firm yet comfortable. The bathroom is a great size, with a Japanese-style washroom so you can shower and have a nice soak in the big tub. There's plenty of space to fit luggage and clothing, and many coat hangers so you can also air dry clothing if you want to use the laundry facilities on site. The room has a large TV and comfortable seating area, and the kitchen is well-equipped with utensils and serveware. The location was quite convenient for us. Just a 12-15 minute walk to Tokyo Station (can feel like a bit of a long walk if you have luggage, but it's doable), and there's additional metro stations within a 5-10 minute walk for easy connections. We could easily get to many key neighbourhoods and tourist sites without too much walking, which is a very big plus for me as I'm not very fit and my trips to Japan often end up doing a lot of walking! It is quite easy to get to from Haneda airport, although we opted for a Taxi on the way back as we were quite tired at that point! There are some small restaurants nearby and many convenience stores as well which is handy. Cleanliness of the rooms is excellent, the room always felt like it was cleaned well, both on arrival and the housekeeping throughout the stay. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel, it has been the best hotel I've stayed at on my travels and we felt quite rested and comfortable on the 11 nights we stayed here.

There are only minor things that were an issue for us, nothing really to worry about. One was that the hotel is across from a Yakitori restaurant so the room did smell and feel a bit smokey some nights. This was remedied by using the range-hood in the kitchen for a short time in the evenings, and also using the in-room air conditioning/humidifier. Generally the room was very quiet as well, we didn't hear our neighbours and barely any noise from outside but unfortunately those staying above us were prone to stomping late at night and early in the morning. I realise the hotel has no influence on this though, but just something to keep in mind if you really value a very quiet hotel stay. Both of these options are so minor though, as this was generally an excellent, relaxing stay.

We are family of 4. 2 adults and 2 teens. We stayed in a room with bunk beds on the 7th floor (no views, but the window gap could be opened to allow fresh air into the room). As expected the room quite small yet descent for 4 of us and 2 big, 1 medium, and 1 cabin suitcases. Of course to open all of them will required strategy and planning. The room has heater (air conditioning) and a humidifier as well. The location was perfect, close to Kayabacho and Hatchobori metro station. Close with plenty of convenient stores (7-11, fam-mart, lawson, and drug stores tomods). Across the hotel was Yoshinoya, an easy solution for meal in case no time for browsing other places to eat. Please be noticed, that Mimaru only clean and change - make up the bedding every the 4th day (this pretty common in most hotel apato in Japan). The daily will be picking out trash, & changing the towel, if you need someone to vacuum the floor, you need to inform them. We also used the laundry room facility on the 2nd floor. Washing was 400 yen, drying for 30 min was 100 yen. There was a vending machine and a coin exchange machine as well. Mimaru team on duty also gladly help us with taxi booking & Yamato arrangement for delivering our 2 big suitcases to Osaka. I know it part of their job but we are so thankful and grateful for their kind gestures. Overall it was wonderful stay 😄 Will gladly back to Mimaru Hatchobori for Tokyo Trip or even another branch of Mimaru since they have so many branches in other part of Tokyo. Thing to consider: - handheld broom/brush or handheld vacuum to clean the food crumbs on the floor.

Comfortable room perfect for families, it was pretty big room compared to most hotels in Tokyo, there were even mini kitchen and a big fridge in the rooms with cutleries and everything provided, convenient facilities and its arrangements, great location close to stations, convenient stores, and restaurants, nice and helpful staff and housekeeping. Thank you!

I feel like the public areas like hallways, elevators, and laundry room could’ve been cleaner but it’s minor stuff, overall room was pretty clean and they always clean it according to schedule. So no big deal.

We love love staying at Mimaru HATCHOBORI! The staff were very kind, the room was perfection… It was very big considered how small rooms are in Tokyo. We were a family of 5, our kids loved the bunk beds… We had the best sleep as it was super quiet, couldn’t hear one single noise from outside or other rooms… It was perfect. Location was amazing, 2 minutes walking to HATCHOBORI station and super close to family mart, seven eleven and Lawson… A few restaurants are also around the area.

Everything was perfect.

We loved the spaciousness, cleaniliess, and facilities offered by Mimaru hotels. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen and bathrooms, and there was a lot of space for families to hang out. We appreciated the large table where we could all sit around and enjoy breakfast - a rarity in Japanese hotels! The location of Hatchobori was perfect for us. It's located very close to 2 metro lines, and we found getting to most places in Tokyo very easy. Hatchobori station is also on the line to JR Maihama station, where Tokyo Disney is located, so ideal for families looking to visit Disneyland on their holiday. Apple TV is also available to be borrowed from the front desk if you didn't want to watch Japanese TV. The staff were fantastic as well, and very helpful.

The room was very clean and well-maintained overall, however a little more care could be taken with cleaning some areas such as the space around the bunk beds. It's not a big deal, just some dust and hair which was easy to clean up yourself.

We are forever fans of the Mimaru hotels. They are not meant to be the most luxurious hotels, but for the person who wants the greatest value for their money, stay here. It was perfect for our family of four. The units are so clean and well maintained (there are no signs of wear), and so much attention to the small but important details for making a stay absolutely comfortable. The doors are all silent (no creaky hinges or handles), the bathrooms are sound proofed so you don’t hear others showering or using the toilet, and the BEDS were SO comfortable! Firm beds, comfortable sheets and the fluffiest, softest comforters. We got such excellent sleep. The service, on top of all this, was so kind and helpful. They went out of their way to reserve luggage transport and airport pickups. I will most definitely be staying here again if we ever return to Japan, and will be recommending these hotels to everyone I know.

This location was a little bit not central so it was a bit of a walk to the subway to get to the hotspots. The walk wasn’t bad, though, because you got to walk through the clean and beautiful Tokyo streets.
