We had some really challenging medical hurdles during our trip, and the staff was extremely accomodating and understanding. The communal cafe is small but so cozy and a great place to meet travellers from around the world. The cleaning staff was excellent, the front desk was excellent, the location was excellent and we were frequently so thankful to have chosen Sakura Jimbocho Hotel

The volume and people vs the size of the hallways and cafe was very crammed. The rooms are small as well so there wasnt much room to spread out at all. We knew this coming in, but it was our only real complaint

About 3 years ago, I have stayed at Sakura Hotel for one week and I have got deep/good impression of this hotel. After 3 years, when I decided to visit Tokyo again, I chose Sakura Hotel again without hesitation. The location, the staff and the cozy atmosphere are the best points.

24hr basically could move in and out easily. Provided complementaries, so I didn't need my own. The bathroom fit everyone, so I didn't have to wait. Cafe provided delicious food. It was very affordable and near the train line, so I didn't lose much time commuting. Managers were nice in explaining what I did wrong. They also held my bags when I arrived early before checking in. They spoke good English to answer all my questions.

I liked everything, especially for the cost. The only thing I would change would be the beds could use better pillows, but it's a minor nitpick the current pillows are decent. The big thing is just make sure if your friends are partying in Shibuya or Shinjuku get on the last train back or you'll be walking an hr ish.

The hotel was comfortable, spotlessly clean, with really helpful & kind staff, great amenities like on-site all-inclusive laundry and drinks and hot water at all times of day, and the Tokyo location was central near tons of shops, supermarkets, and a stone's throw of a metro station. The Tokyo Dome is a 10-15 minute walk north. The breakfast that came included with our already inexpensive room price was great!

There is nothing that I did not like. I guess just bear in mind that this is budget accommodation so the rooms are one the small side and for most there are shared showers and bathrooms (all separate stalls for privacy), but this is clear when you pay for the room and reflected in the low price! Breakfast might be supplemented with rice and seaweed and more vegetarian soup options.

We were very happy with our stay overall. It is a hostel type accommodation with 4 sinks, 4 toilets and 2 showers on our floor. We never had a problem waiting to use anything. It's clean, staff was great, location is conveniently located near a subway station. The price was about half of what we would have paid for a normal hotel. The room we had was small for a family of 4 but we didn't really spend much time there so it wasn't too bad. The restaurant in the lobby was good.

The beds are not very comfortable and the one I had was really just springs in a thin pad.

The staff make a huge effort to help foreigners manage day to day culture shock. Their job is to provide rooms but they are regularly giving advice on how to access clinics, sim cards, transport. Of course as a tourist you should do your best not to over rely on the people working in the hostel, but if you are stuck they will more thank likely be there for you. I never saw them turn anyone away. I commend them for true kindness

The shared room has no window, but the value is very good. That's my only complaint. Its very clean and comfortable

We didn't fully grasp how fantastic the location was until we started to plan our trips. Multiple transport options are available to pretty much anywhere and it's a pleasant walk to the Imperial Palace. Having something in your belly before you go out and explore is always great and here the breakfasts start as early as 4:30, which is great if you need to leave really early. This place also cooks until late in the evening so if you've walked all day long and don't feel like you can manage another step to go and get some meal, you can still have a delicious (and cheap!) dinner here. Hot tea is available all the time. There's always someone around who speaks English. You get fresh sheets and a lovely yukata for each night. And cosmetics available at the showers is amazing. Overall the hotel is very cozy, comfortable and at a convenient location.

We were a bit surprised the washbasins are located in the hallway. You get used to it but it might be a bit uncomfortable for some. There are only 2 showers for each floor and one evening there was a large group of guys who blocked both for over an hour and a half when we needed to go to bed really early. It's nothing you can prevent so go early rather than late (or learn the hard way).

Great value for money in a strategic location. Close to everything but sheltered from the hectic pace of the city. The staff in incredibly helpful and nice. This hostel/hotel makes a point of creating a cosmopolitan environment and you can enjoy this in its hall/dining area. There is a good offer of affordable, healthy and tasty meals from the kitchen, so one can relax at the hotel after a long day of strolling through Tokyo. Recommended if you need a home away from home.

It took me some time to figure out the air conditioning but apart from that, nothing to report.

The staff was super helpful, the room was very clean and had everything you need. It is really close to the underground, and it is very well communicated. It has lift and the reception is open 24/7. Very cheap for what you get.

The washing machines and dryers really need an update... they are not working properly to really clean and dry your clothes. The metal doors of the showers and toilets are noisy (bam!) if your room is in front of one of them.

Great location just minutes from Jimbocho subway station in a quiet side street. 24 hour desk whichbisbcrucial for those arriving late from the airport. This hostel has outstanding soft linens, and comfortable beds with privacy curtains. I liked the free toast and delicious soup breakfasts. The optional cafe menu for purchase was excellent. 24 hrs coffee and tea. Guests tended to keep to themselves, making for a quiet respite from the bustle of Tokyo.

No kitchen facilities, microwave or fridge for guests. There wasn't much in the way of social activities, and besides the cafe there is no common area - which made a this a great place for quiet rest but not too exciting for anyone seeking a social hostel.
