Sequence feels cool and modern and a bit like the Ace or Standard Hotels. I enjoyed an excellent 12-night stay by myself in a twin-room. Staff were very helpful with all my needs, from check-in to holding items at the front desk. Room was large by Tokyo standards with expansive views and good blackout curtains (I'm glad I booked the twin, as basic single rooms are indeed very tiny from what I saw first-hand during cleaning). Beds are firm, as typical with Japan, but comfortable. Good amount of storage in cubbies and small closet. I thought the hotel would be noisier, as it caters to a younger crowd (think late 20s-early 40s), but my room was dead silent all 12 nights. The hotel was less crowded than usual, being winter, but I was still surprised at how quiet the place was. Bathroom was great. No tub, but shower has a nice sliding door to keep water contained and the rain shower head was terrific with excellent heat and water pressure. There's also an adjustable hand-held shower head too. Toilet, as expected, is a very nice bidet Toto. Cafe on the lobby floor is very cool and a nice place to work or take a meeting in the morning, though it does get busy by late morning and it's packed all afternoon. Also, if you purchase a reusable coffee cup (I think for about 500-600 yen, as it's 50% off for hotel guests), drip coffee is free for the rest of your stay with unlimited refills! Restaurant on the 5th floor was also quite good. Classy and tasty spot while still casual. No tea or coffee provided in the room, but a nice electric kettle was available upon request and I made good use of it during my stay. Mini fridge was useful too. No mini bar items - just use for cold storage. Location is very good. Under 10 minutes to Shibuya station on foot. Two FamilyMart locations very close as well for all your 24-hr konbini needs. So much good food close by. Overall, tons of good things to say about Sequence.

I really wish the room had a small desk. There's nowhere to work or eat except by sitting on the bed or the low cabinet by the window. There's a tiny side table you can use, but it's very small and not very practical. Also, I ended up using this side table as my nightstand. In retrospect, I could probably have asked the staff for a second small side table. Others have complained about the train sound, but honestly, after a night or two it didn't bother me at all. Also, the trains don't run all night in Tokyo. With a little white noise or earplugs, I couldn't hear it. I slept well here.

Amazing location! Right in the heart of Shibuya. There is a park accessible as part of the hotel - fantastic place to let toddlers run around to burn some energy. The room was small, but the wide open window made it feel larger. Had a beautiful view of Shibuya and Miyashita park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place purely for its location and views.

Very hard to access the hotel, as its entrance is located on the corner of a busy street. Our taxi driver dropped us off at the corner and we had to carry our luggage over barriers - which was a struggle as we had a toddler with us. So just be mindful of this if you are travelling heavy. Theres alternative ways to get to the entrance, which works well if you are travelling light.

Nice size for two of us and luggage opened up on the window bench and the view from the window was wonderful. The cafe downstairs was very convenient in the morning. The front staff were extremely helpful and very sweet with any questions and help with our luggage forwarding.

The bathroom was really small and lacked in ventilation. The lighting in the room drove me crazy as it was too dark which made it difficult to find anything or read at night. It wouldn't been nice to have a table or standing lamp with normal lighting available. Also, there was only one pillow on the otherwise comfortable bed.

Out of all the accomodation I stayed at during my time in Japan, this was definitely one of my favourites. Very modern inside the rooms which were also very spacious by Tokyo standards. The hotel itself has a bar and breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurants located on various floors as well (although breakfast was a bit too expensive so I just opted for elsewhere). Super easy getting to the accomodation and also very easy getting around tokyo from here. Bed was not too hard as well although the pillows are half filled with hard beans which I found was quite common in Japanese hotels for whatever reason. Had an awesome view of shibuya from our hotel room.

Perhaps maybe the only thing would be that it is right next to a train station so at night when you’re sleeping you do hear the train. You do get used to it though. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me.

because the room was very neat and the location was perfect, I could stay with comfort. wifi was very fast, can enjoy to watch movie with no intrunption. Those amenity inside a room were all good. I liked their shampoo, even I wanted to buy. Because of their perfect location, just the center of Shibuya, nothing complain to find any food. Want it to come back a.s.a.p.

Because they stands by the railway, Green line, I always heard noisy train.

Location of this hotel is the best! Our room was overlooking the Miyashita Park and the Shibuya crossing can be seen from a distance. It is at the center but in a more "quiet" location. Bed is comfortable. Everything is walking distance. Breakfast was great too! Food was superb but a bit pricey which is understandable.

There is no parking space for drop off. We are a group of 10 with 16 luggages. We were dropped off at the side of the highway and disembark our luggages on the road. We had to walk a few meters with all luggages to get to the sidewalk because the road has a metal rail. :(

The location is perfect. In the middle of Shibuya and close to the train station. Many restaurants nearby and its just a quick walk to Harajuku from the hotel. We got a room overlooking the Miyashita Park and it was a stunning view. Sitting in the large window and watching the skylines at night was beautiful. The staff was very helpful. We first stayed one night there and then travelled to Kyoto and the staff let us keep our large suitcases there until we got back from Kyoto 5 days later. They were very helpful. I would love to stay there again next time I go back to Japan.

Nothing, everything was good.

Location, big rooms, excellent view to the park. Great beds.

Check in did not work with iPads. Buffet breakfast would be much better especially for children than a la carte. Breakfast was said to be stopped to be served at 12. However, it changes to lunch at 11 and this is not clearly pointed put. Coffee is not served anymore after 11 even though it was still kept there on table. Actually, the waiter strictly told me not to take coffee or juice at 11.15. One should take them away or cover then but please do not leave them there and forbid taking them. It makes one sad.

The location on top of the park made it easy and stress free ti navigate the busy area of Shibuya. The beds were one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on in all my various hotel trips around the world.

The tablet check in and out system is overly complicated. The idea seems to be a hands off approach to guests checking in and checking out but the amount of details, screens and language blockers mean that you will need the staff to help you get through it. Felt like I was being interviewed by the tablet.

The location was perfect as it was right where there was plenty of shops and food places to eat at. It was very flash even has a rooftop bar. The facilities were new and our room had sound proof windows (right next to train tracks). So conveniently located close to shopping and the train station and Shibuya crossing. Great natural light with huge floor to ceiling windows.

The room was badly lit (at night) not enough adequate lighting. Our room would get quite hot and stuffy so we couldn’t open a window for any fresh air, however we had a humidifier in the room and there was aircon.
