Great boutique hotel close to many bars and cafes and subway stations to go to other places in Tokyo. The view from our room was fantastic and the view from the top floor bar was slightly better but basically the same. Bed was very comfortable & liked the separate shower room from the toilet room so we didn’t have to wait if one of us was showering. Cool lobby area with the beer happy hour every night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not sure why but the price was very reasonable and unfortunately it looks like they have gone way up from September so we are unfortunately looking elsewhere. I think we only paid about 21,000 yen a night and now it’s much higher.

It was all mostly perfect compared to our first hotel for a night in Roppongi to be near the Spain Embassy. The glasses for the beer were too tiny. Lol

What a stylish, modern place. Even when you enter, it’s smells like luxury spa. Every interior design detail is so thought through, both in the building and rooms themselves. Very Chicago industrial style. New, clean amenities. Comfortable bed, lotus with lots of dimming options, smart TV, and everything you need for a comfortable getaway. The neighborhood feels a bit like a peaceful side of Paris, definitely doesn’t feel like crazy Roppongi even though it’s not far. It’s very central and easy to get around. The bar on the 9th floor is gorgeous, with views to Tokyo tower and lots of amazing cocktails and chic ambience. At the breakfast, you can choose from 4 menu options plus drinks, and even though the portions aren’t huge, you feel satisfied, plus the food quality is on point. The lounge is super cool, with a great billiard table and comfortable sitting spots for work or chilling. All in all, truly 10/10. Feels like a European getaway in the center of Tokyo. Definitely a more special stylish stay than others we tried here. Worth every penny!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this hotel! The location is great – you're right on the shopping street in Azabujuban and close to both Azabujuban and Roppongi stations. The room was really stylishly decorated and there were a lot of nice touches like bathrobes and bottled water (for no extra charge). I love that the room rate includes breakfast in the coffee shop in the building. You get to choose from a few options of "morning sets" that come with coffee or tea plus toast, eggs, pancakes, etc. I found it to be a very filling meal and the perfect way to start my day in Tokyo!

My only complaint was that I really wanted to get an early check-in because my flight arrived super early, but even though I asked ahead of time, they weren't able to prepare my room early.

The location is the best because the hotel is surrounded by lots of small restaurant, supermarkets, laundromat nearby, 711 next door, walking distance to Roponggi, near Azabu-Juban Station. They changed my room due to the toilet faulty. One of the staff even came up to our new room and gave us a packet of cookies and 2 bottles of drinks as a sign of apology for giving us a faulty room. This gesture you would never find in other country.

The entrance, lift, room hallway and toilet's light were so dim and dark. Maybe could put more lights. The TV channels can be have more choices as all the channels are in Japanese.

Loved this hotel in Tokyo for my first time visit to Japan. Great location and good access to the metro and train entrances, surrounded by fabulous local restaurants. Loved the free beer o'clock at 5:30pm and snack provided was a nice touch. The western style breakfast that was included with room rate was good and they endeavoured to deliver the coffee to our liking. The room itself had cleaver space saving designs that allowed for more space in a Japan hotel room, and of course it was super clean. The staff were very helpful, specially with sending our bags ahead to our next location. I definitely will be back to stay at The Lively Azabujuban.

It would have been nice to have an alternative to beer in the free happy hour, for those of us who don't drink beer, but otherwise .. perfect!

I used to live around the area and my partner and I just love Azabu Juban. We always stay around this area when we visit Tokyo since its a quick cab ride from Haneda Airport. The hotel is in a great location and can reach Roppongi Hills and Roppongi station and also use Azabu Juban station. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel that is open 24/7! Additionally there is a supermarket that is open until 3 AM as well. Furthermore there is a ton of great places for food. Our favorite is the soba place near Azabu Juban station and a chicken skewer place called Abechan. There is also a really good pizza resto called Savoy and a Hainan Chicken resto called Hainan Jifan close to Roppongi Hills. Out hotel room was comfortable, clean and we always got our toiletries refreshed daily. Furthermore the 9th floor bar served delicious drinks and has a great view.

Maybe its a personal preference but the pillows were too soft and low and would prefer the option for firmer pillows.

The beds were comfortable, and the free beer between 5.30 and 6.30 is a nice touch. We had the cinema room, which was different from what I thought it would be. It's just a big projector screen. However, we used it a lot, and it was fun—the location in excellent. The per-glass wine selection was not a selection. They only had one choice, and the bottles were expensive and not great. A good convenience shop is right next door, so you can get snacks and wine there. Also, the menu and food in the bar at the hotel's roof top are small and not very good, but the views are great.

The place is feast for the eyes for those who like a well-designed hotel. The staff are attentive and open to answering questions which is helpful when you are in an unfamiliar city. The lobby lounge area was a great common space to hang out and everyone used the space respectfully even if for work or leisure. The free flow beer in the evenings was delicious. The breakfast was also excellent!

We had to keep asking for an extra bath towel each day when our booking indicated we were three guests. We also left some feedback that it should be communicated clearer that breakfast is only included for 2 ppl (the adults) and not our child because this was not clear at all when we booked online.

what a gem of a hotel in a very quaint part of Tokyo. I was a little concerned being off the beaten path and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The room was exquisite and roomy, and the lobby was so tranquil to hang out sometimes. The free beer and refreshing water and iced tea were such a nice touch. I loved the staff— all just young and hip and sweet and helpful. The adjacent cafe had the best breakfast ever— perfect for me. The neighborhood was bustling with plenty of shops and great restaurants and I even went to a local bath house one evening which was such a cultural experience. Easy enough access to train station too!!

The Lively was a beautiful hotel. Certainly exceeded our expectations. Such a beautiful ambience all through the hotel. There is an area beside reception which was perfect for a wind down after sightseeing all day. There’s a pool table which our boys loved and my husband enjoyed the free beer between 5 and 6 pm. The location was perfect and very easy to get to closest train station about 500 m away, surrounded by good restaurants and takeaway if necessary, and there is 711 downstairs.
